Here is your chance!
History on the Acura Integra GS-R:
The Acura Integra GS-R model was first developed in 1992. It was only available in the second and third generation Integras.
The 2nd generation Integra GS-R model is equipped with a 1.7 liter VTEC (variable valve timing) engine which is capable of 170 horsepower.
The GS-R was the second car, after the Acura NSX, to get the VTEC engine. In the 1990s, the Integra GS-R was one of the most powerful non-turbocharged 4-cylinder cars available in the American market.
Information about the VTEC Engine:
VTEC engines are known to be reliable, so reliable that Honda or Acura has never had a warranty claim on the VTEC systems. The Specific engine that is in the Integra GS-R is known as the B18C1. The GS-R came equipped with a dual-stage intake manifold, ported exhaust manifold and a displacement increase from the second generation. The Variable valve timing technology was developed to get max power out of an engine yet still maintain reliability. The GS-R has a specific revolution per minute (rpm) where the VTEC will engage. When VTEC engages the camshaft lobes that are designed for lower rpm will switch over to the camshaft lobes that are designed more for higher rpm’s. VTEC is a solution for reliability and performance.
Production Numbers and rarity of this Integra:
Lets just say this took weeks and weeks and weeks to figure out. The following figures are based on running vins until they stop in sequence. Finally, I discovered that the rarest color was teal, with only 400 produced between the two years. To further speak to its rarity, aside from the low production numbers, this car came from the factory as teal.
1992 GSR (USA)
3120 (#000001 and #000002 unaccounted for) = 3118
1993 GSR (USA)
851 (#000001 unaccounted for) = 850
USA Total: = 3968
1992 GSR (Canada)
602 = 602
1993 GSR (Canada)
256 (#800001 unaccounted for) = 255
Canadian total: = 857
Total North American GS-R Production = 4825
That brings the total to 4825 (accounted for by Carfax)
Information on this particular Acura Integra GS-R:
This is a super rare and highly desirable Acura Integra GS-R. The original owner did the paint and body kit in the early 2000's. He trailered it to car shows once the paint and body were completed and put very few miles on it between then and the time he sold it to the second owner a couple of years ago. This vehicle has the original VTEC motor and transmission in it. Only 86,000 actual miles. It runs and shifts absolutely perfect. A thing to note about a worn VTEC motor, is the VTEC won't actually engage when it is supposed to, this VTEC engages flawlessly. The motor is bone stock with the exception of an air intake. The transmission is bone stock. The exhaust is after market and sounds excellent. This GS-R has not been beat on and has always been maintained to the highest standards. The interior on the vehicle is bone stock with the exception of a 6 CD changer mounted in the glove box, after market CD player, and different shift knob. There are no cracks anywhere in any of the plastic. No rips or tears in any of the seats. The headliner is perfect. Everything works perfect. AC, heat, sunroof, power windows, power door locks, cruise control, high beams, low beams, turn signals, and brake lights. This vehicle has never seen a winter and has never had any rust. There are no dents or dings on the body, which speaks to how well this vehicle has been stored and cared for. I took the vehicle out of storage to only take pictures. There was no expense spared on the custom paint job and body kit. The engine bay and door jams were all carefully painted. This Acura sports custom KONIG wheels and tires, that give it a great street look. The wheels are in perfect shape, no pitting or curb rash($380/wheel). The front left headlight has a few splintering cracks, and there are two blemishes which came from rock chips on the front right part of the hood.
You will be hard pressed to find another GS-R with these low of miles and history. Most of these cars have 200,000 miles on them or have been wrecked. I wouldn't be surprised if this GS-R is one of the lower mile ones still on the road and in existence. Excellent car to drive and enjoy, bring to car shows, or add some performance to under the hood. If you know this motor, you'll probably have a ton of fun doing that. I have put a very low reserve on this car. Please ask any and all questions. You will not be disappointed.
Thank you and Happy Bidding!

Acura NSX production delayed
Fri, Aug 14 2015Listeners of the Autoblog Podcast will be familiar with my opinions on the Acura NSX. While I love the idea of Acura building a halo car again, I've routinely joked on-air that the car will never, ever reach production and will continue being teased and previewed ad nauseam. So I'm chuckling at this news: the NSX is being delayed again. To be fair, while it sounds like a big deal – pushing the NSX back from model year 2016 to 2017 – this is a fairly minor delay in the grand scheme. Instead of starting production this fall, as previously announced, the new supercar will start rolling down the line at Honda's Marysville, OH factory in the spring. "Trial production" has already started, Honda says, while briefly acknowledging the delay in the attached press release. While Honda offered no reason for the delay in volume production, Automobile claims it's the fault of the move to fit two turbochargers to the V6, which was made midway through development. Fitting the two iron lungs meant rearranging the six-pot into a longitudinal layout. Here's hoping there are no further delays. Scroll on for a look at Honda's press release, which does its best to gloss over the NSX delay while talking about the company's new Performance Manufacturing Center in Marysville. Related Video: Performance Manufacturing Center: Precision Craftsmanship Aug 14, 2015 - CARMEL-BY-THE-SEA, Calif. The next-generation Acura NSX is produced at the new, dedicated Performance Manufacturing Center (PMC) in Marysville, Ohio, using domestic and globally sourced parts. With trial production already underway and production start-up scheduled for spring 2016, this world-class manufacturing facility employs groundbreaking techniques in weld, body construction, body painting, final assembly and quality confirmation to ensure the highest levels of precision and craftsmanship. More details on the unique and innovative manufacturing processes at the PMC will be rolled out over the months leading up to the start of production, but the following highlights of the new facility were shared during the 2015 Monterey Automotive Week: Innovative blend of people and technology: throughout the PMC, NSX production is centered around the skills of approximately 100 experienced engineers and technicians building the NSX to precise levels of quality and craftsmanship.
Inside Honda's ghost town for testing autonomous cars
Thu, Jun 2 2016On the edge of the San Francisco suburb of Concord, California sits a ghost town. Dilapidated buildings and cracked roads are framed by overgrowth and slightly askew street signs. The decommissioned five acre portion of the Concord Naval Weapons Station that once housed military personnel and their families is now home to squirrels, jack rabbits, wild turkeys and Honda's mysterious testing lab for autonomous vehicles. This former town within a Naval base – now dubbed "GoMentum Station" – is the perfect testing ground for Honda's self-driving cars. An almost turn-key solution to the problem of finding somewhere to experiment with autonomous vehicle inside an urban area. Thanks to the GoMentum Station, the automaker has access to 20 miles of various road types, intersections and infrastructure exactly like those found in the real world. Just, you know, without all the people getting in the way. While the faded lane markers and cracked asphalt might initially make it difficult for the car to figure out what's going on around it, that's exactly what you want when training a self-driving system. Many roads in the real world are also in dire need of upkeep. Just because autonomous vehicles are hitting the streets doesn't mean the funding needed to fix all the potholes and faded lane markers will magically appear. The real world doesn't work that way and the robot cars that will eventually make our commutes less of a headache will need to be aware of that. Plus, it's tougher to train a car to drive downtown than to barrel down the highway at 80 miles per hour. A company is going to want to get as much practice as possible. While semi-autonomous driving on the everyone-going-the-same-way-at-a-constant-speed freeway is already a reality, navigating in an urban environment is far more complex. If you've driven on the streets of Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Chicago or Seattle you know that driving downtown takes far more concentration than cruising down the interstate. With all that in mind, Honda's tricked out Acura RLX did a good job during an (admittedly very controlled) hands-free demo. It didn't hit either of the pedestrians walking across its path. It stopped at stop signs and even maneuvered around a mannequin situated in the middle of the road. The reality is, watching a car drive around the block and safely avoid stuff is boring. Not to metion, Google has been doing this for a while in the real world.
Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee earns Seinfeld four more seasons
Thu, May 1 2014We're going to be talking about Jerry Seinfeld and his excellent web series, Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, for quite a long time, as it's been picked up for four more seasons. Considering the show just wrapped up its third season a few months ago, this marks quite a big win. The new order, reported by Variety, calls for 24 episodes, with Acura carrying on as the show's sole and primary sponsor. CICGC is already slated for a fourth season this summer, which includes five episodes, and a seven-episode fifth season in the fall. Guests for season four include Aziz Ansari, Jon Stewart and Sarah Jessica Parker, although we've no idea what sort of cars are in store. It's unclear when seasons six through nine will air, but if 2014 is any indication, we should expect the bulk of the episodes to arrive some time in 2015.
