Selling my Volvo V70 R with a very rare color combo!!! It is silver outside and has the gobi sand leather two tone interior. The car has every option except navigation and is an awesome car!!! It has heated power front seats, auto trans, power moonroof, power windows and locks, tilt wheel, in dash CD, and so much more. The car comes with a Delaware salvage title due to a recent issue with the catalytic converter causing a minor flash fire and the insurance company totalling it out. I recently put brand new Michellin tires on it (almost $1,000 alone) and it has been religously serviced until the incident. The car still runs and drives and everything works however there are repairs that are needed for it to be made roadworthy. I am selling the car in 'as is' condition and I am not a mechanic so I can not make any representations. The car is currently at a Volvo dealer in Wilmington, DE and that is where it will need to be picked up from. Buyer is responsible for all shipping and storage costs if the car is not picked up within 5 days at the end of the auction. As previously stated, the car is being sold strictly in 'as is' condition and it comes with a salvage title, not a salvage certificate. Feel free to ask questions, within reason, and I will do my best to answer them. DO NOT BID THEN DECIDE IF YOU WANT THE CAR OR NOT!!! If you are unsure about anything, please email me first. The car is also for sale locally and seller reserves the right to end the auction early.

Volvo Polestar reveals new V8 Supercars engine
Mon, 09 Dec 2013Volvo may be better known for turbo fives and inline fours, but in 2005 it launched the XC90 with a new eight-cylinder engine built for it by Yamaha. Fast forward to this past June when Volvo announced its intention to enter Australia's V8 Supercars series, where it would compete with the likes of Ford, Holden, Nissan and Mercedes-AMG. This is the engine with which it intends to do so.
Revealed this weekend at the Sydney 500, this competition-spec powerplant is based on the same B8444S that powered the XC90 and S80 (not to mention the Noble M600), but tuned for racing duty to be shoehorned into the new S60 touring car. The 60-degree aluminum block has been bored out from 4.4 liters to 5.0, its compression ratio boosted to 10:1, modified to run on E85 bio-ethanol and its redline increased to 7500 rpm. Volvo also promises a unique engine note from its new racers.
While Volvo and its racing partner Polestar haven't released official output numbers, regulations call for outputs between 620 and 650 horsepower - in any event, a whole lot more than the 311 hp it produces in stock form. (Noble managed to squeeze that much out of the same block, but that required twin turbochargers while this unit remains naturally aspirated.) Scope out the details in the press release below and the photos from the reveal in the gallery above.
2023 Volvo S60 and V60 get small updates
Mon, Mar 14 2022The Volvo S60 sedan and V60 wagon have been updated for the 2023 model year, their mid-life refresh. We don't know the specifics of how our U.S.-market models will be updated, a Volvo spokesperson telling Car and Driver that information comes this spring. We can look to Europe for the broad strokes, however, and it appears we won't have to look too long nor too hard. The S60 sedan hasn't changed in front, whereas the V60 gets a revised lower front fascia with slightly wider intakes accented by blades of chrome garnish, and a center intake that's a wee bit taller than on the current model. In back, both cars hide their tailpipes. There will be at least one new wheel option as well, six-spoke jobs cribbing from the aero rims designed for the XC40 Recharge. And that's all we have to say about that. Inside, Google's Android Automotive infotainment software continues its propagation throughout the Volvo lineup, bringing the same functionality to the 9-inch display that we've sampled in a few other Swedish offerings so far.  We only get the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine in the United States, aided by 48-volt mild-hybrid (an update for 2022) or plug-in-hybrid electrical assistance depending on trim for the S60, while the V60 wagon — not the lifted V60 Cross Country — is only sold as the Recharge Polestar Engineered in the United States. Don't expect any deviations on the ICE side, but the PHEV trims benefit from a larger battery and more powerful motor. In Europe, the B3 and B4 trims will enjoy a new seven-speed dual-clutch. We don't expect that gearbox to be headed our way. Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. Next Polestar Volvo sounds great, whatever it is
Fri, 15 Nov 2013Something - we don't know what yet - is coming from Polestar. While we'll be recovering from next week's LA Auto Show and Tokyo Motor Show (and starting to slack off ahead of an extended Thanksgiving weekend), the official tuner of Volvo products has announced plans to unveil its latest creation in less than two weeks.
Based on this video teaser, we can only imagine (and hope) that it's the souped-up Volvo V60 recently caught testing by our spy shooters. The idea of a high-performance Volvo wagon was already enough to get us giddy last month, but the exhaust note in this video is downright captivating. Scroll down to watch the teaser for yourself, and be prepared for some bright blue wagony goodness to be revealed on November 26.
