Located in Salt Lake City, UT

  • VIN: YV1SJ527762580660
  • Clear Utah title. Clean, non-salvage, funky, etc.
  • I’m the 3rd owner.
  • Owner #1 had the car from new to approximately 145K.
  • Owner #2 had her for 20K miles and moved to London.
  • I’ve owned for 1.5 years and put about 18K in that time.
  • Odometer reads approximately 189,700.
  • Serviced exclusively at Almartin Volvo from 0 to 145K: full records of all dealer minor and major scheduled maintenances done always to approx 145K, then serviced at Volvo/Foreign specialists to present. Timing belt was done, serpentine and drive belt.
  • All service records are on hand and extensive.
  • 3 sets of keys included: 2 module/electronic units, 1 valet/dealer key.
  • Original leather glovebox book included.
  • Factory roof rack (with extra set of 4 bars included, 8 bars total). One set in box never used, other on car.
  • Volvo factory bike rack (1).
  • U-haul tow-hitch attached (2nd owner used it to tow Sunfish sail boat)
  • 3M high grade 100% UV tint installed on all windows.
  • 3M clear bra installed on front hood/grill area.
  • USA Spec iPod connector to use for AUX installed. It’s set up for iPod 4s and down, if have iPhone 5, you’d have to buy an adapter.
  • 6-disc CD player.
  • Sirius satellite radio installed, though contract dormant.
  • Winter rubber mats all around (including cargo). Original mats also included.
  • All the bells and whistlers: sunroof, power seats, steering controls, heated seats/mirrors, dual power seats, 17” wheels, parking sensors, traction control, side airbags, rear spoiler, climate package,
  • Leather is in good condition all around, some fading and soft wear cracks in driver/pass seats.
  • Dash is great, headliner is great.
  • Original carpets in solid shape as protected by winter mats.
  • Exterior has a few scratches and small blemishes. Nothing alarming or major. (See photos). Ask for more photos if want, and i will take.
  • Extensive maintenance records dating back to 0 miles and original factory window sticker. The folder is nearly 2 inches thick and shows regular dealer maintenance, all major/minor services, and a TON of additional work. All owners, myself included, were anal with this car. Owner #1 was beyond anal and service records show it.
  • Oil changes have been done every 3-4K miles since new and the records corroborate this.
  • Early records show some front bumper damage early in car’s life that was repaired correctly and professionally (see car fax 'minor issue' reported).
  • Records are too long to list from that maintenance folder.
  • Notes/Known Faults:  sometimes the rear tail gait lock is finicky and demands that you lock and then unlock it once or twice. I’ve lived with this, but one could replace the lock there. One of the rear bumper parking sensor nodes (the electronic parallel parking beeper) was tapped and dented inward. Dealer quotes $250-300 to replace. I’m estimating brakes and tires have 40% left on them, front tires are showing slightly more wear than rears. There are some nicks and scratches here and there; tire rash on front left bumper + also front left bumper could use a clip or similar as it is not jogged in fully.
  • She has never failed me in my nearly 2 years and 20K of driving. An all around great Euro touring machine with tons of power and pep. The nicest natural exhaust sound of any car on the round, in my opinion.
  • Pay Pal deposit of $500 within 24 hours after auction, and then certified check or wire, after, unless buyer wants to pay pay pal and then settle the fee to me. Can meet shipper or trucker.
  • Note: I have the car financed through USAA in Texas. The title is held with them. After you pay me, I will send payment to pay off vehicle and you should have the title in hand in approximately 2 weeks. Of course you can get a temporary tag to drive it without the title, but please be aware.
  • Thanks

2018 Buick Regal TourX vs. wagon competitors: How it compares on paper

Wed, Jan 31 2018

To the great joy of auto enthusiasts nationwide, wagons are back! Well, at least there's a few more of them. The latest is the 2018 Buick Regal TourX, which we just had our first drive of and found to actually be quite good with pleasant handling, solid power and plenty of space. But, how does the TourX compare to other cladded wagons? Well, let's dive into the specs and fire up the ol' spreadsheet maker for Buick Regal TourX vs Subaru Outback vs Audi A4 Allroad vs VW Alltrack vs Volvo V60 Cross Country. True, some are from mainstream brands and others are from luxury marques, but Buick straddles both realms, so it's appropriate to look at them all. Of course, there's more to these cars than just the numbers, but they're still important, and in the case of this class of crossover-aping wagons, can vary more than you'd expect. So check out the specs in the chart below, which are followed by more analysis and photos of each. Discover and compare other wagons and crossovers with our Car Finder and Compare tools. Engines and Transmissions When comparing powertrains, the Buick is far-and-away the winner as far as torque is concerned, and is in a nearly three-way tie for horsepower. Its 295 pound-feet of torque is 22 lb-ft more twist than the next-most-grunty Audi A4 Allroad. And in regards to power, the Buick's 250-horsepower engine is only down 6 hp to the most-powerful Subaru and its optional naturally aspirated flat-six, and just 2 hp less than the Audi. At the bottom of the pack is the Subaru Outback with the standard naturally aspirated flat-four, which only makes 174 hp and 174 lb-ft of torque. That may not seem too bad compared with the VW Golf Alltrack, which only makes 170 hp and 199 lb-ft of torque, but the VW is much lighter by between 200 and 300 pounds. Transmission-wise, there's quite a bit of variation in the group. The Regal TourX and the Volvo V60 Cross Country rely on eight-speed automatics, all Outbacks use CVTs, and the Alltrack and Allroad have dual-clutch automated manual transmissions with six and seven gears, respectively. But for people that want to shift for themselves, the only option is the Volkswagen, which offers a traditional six-speed manual transmission on the Golf Alltrack. Cargo and Interior Space One of the main reasons to buy a wagon is for the body style's large cargo capacity. And for the most space for things and stuff, you'll want to check out the Subaru and the Buick.

China's Geely to add $4.6 billion battery plant in EV push

Mon, Mar 15 2021

BEIJING — Geely said on Monday it would build an electric vehicle battery factory with a planned annual manufacturing capacity of 42 gigawatt hours (GWh) in China's eastern city of Ganzhou, as it expands its EV lineup in the world's biggest car market. For comparison, the Tesla-Panasonic Gigafactory in Nevada announced an expansion last fall to just under 40 gigawatt hours. The total investment in the project by Geely's technology arm will be 30 billion yuan ($4.6 billion), according to a separate statement from the local government. Geely's technology group has previously invested in Ganzhou-based EV battery maker Farasis. The planned factory comes after Geely announced a flurry of tie-ups in January aimed at turning the automaker into a leading EV contract manufacturer and engineering service provider, as it fights the incursion of EV leader Tesla. Geely, which owns Volvo Cars and a 9.7% stake in Daimler AG, is competing with Great Wall and Nio, among others. China's government has heavily promoted new energy vehicles (NEVs) — such as battery-powered, plug-in petrol-electric hybrid and hydrogen fuel cell cars — in response to chronic air pollution, spurring interest from technology companies and investors alike. China forecasts NEVs will make up 20% of its annual auto sales by 2025 from around 5% in 2020.   Green Plants/Manufacturing Volvo Electric Geely
