This is a great car that I have enjoyed and babied for the past 5 years. Fully loaded with every option except the rear-seat DVD (we all have Ipads for that, anyway). This car is in excellent mechanical condition, and has a clean and flawless interior. Exterior is in great shape with no body work. Only 58,800 miles on this car. It's kept in my heated garage at home and a heated garage at work. I get car washes weekly, get it serviced at the dealer with synthetic oil, and take very good care of it. It's a really fun car to drive with plenty of power, great handling, awesome traction in the snow, and tons of luxury features on the inside. This car listed for close to $60,000 in 2007 and you can buy it now for less than $20k. Great deal. I have owned over a dozen Volvos in my life and this one is the nicest one. I'm selling it because I'm ready to move on to a new car. Below is a description of the features on it. It's available for viewing or a test drive in Milwaukee, WI. If you are out of town I can work with you to load it on a shipping carrier, at your cost.
It is an awesome car. Black with tan leather. Dynaudio sound system with dolby 5.1 and serius. Ipod cable in the center console that allows you to play ipod music through the stereo. DVD Nav that pops up from the dash with a remote control for the passenger. Adaptive xenon headlights that turn corners. Keyless entry, start and locking the key never leaves your pocket. Laser cruise control that sets the speed from the car in front of you. Front and rear parking sensors. Bluetooth phone. Heated and ventilated front seats. Blind spot warning system. Crash prevention system that applies brakes if needed. Sport transmission that you can set from comfort/sport/advanced. 18" premium wheels. (some have a little curb rash). Tires are in great shape.
Only issue with it right now is the trunk latch is a little sticky. It sometimes takes me 2 slams to get it to latch. Might need some WD40, or might need a new latch. I havent taken care of it yet. Otherwise the car is in great shape.

2020 Volvo XC90 Inscription Interior Driveway Test | A lesson in minimalist luxury
Thu, Sep 10 2020We tend to love Volvo interiors. They’re beautiful, simple, inviting and a relaxing place to spend time in. Designers needed to get it right, too, because Volvo has applied the same styling and design language to every vehicle in its lineup. WeÂ’re focusing on the flagship today: the 2020 Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription. Since our tester is the Inscription trim, that means itÂ’s the most luxurious version of the bunch (Momentum and R-Line are the two others). Some highlights include perforated Nappa leather seats, a “tailored dashboard,” Gray Ash Wood trim inlays and the Orrefors crystal shift knob. Our car had the Charcoal interior scheme to play along nicely with the trim. The contrast between the light wood trim and gray stitching with the black leather is pleasing to the eye. Volvo uses a gratuitous but not overwhelming amount of piano black trim to bring some shine to the interior. ItÂ’s nice to see and touch on the buttons, but gets dirty quickly around the flat gear lever area where dust tends to collect. Much of the dash is left blank in a nod to minimalism. WeÂ’re left with a large nine-inch touchscreen oriented vertically in the center, just like every other Volvo on sale today. This is flanked by the center air vents. ThereÂ’s little to no styling going on with the vents, which seems like a missed opportunity. Regardless, we dig the layered and nicely-stitched dash that comes with the Inscription model. Also nestled into the dash is this crossoverÂ’s 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. ItÂ’s basic in its visuals, but plenty effective at conveying important car information. We like the more vibrant and customizable clusters from Mercedes-Benz and Audi a lot, but this one gets the job done and it isnÂ’t distracting in the least bit. Volvo has your back when it comes to comfort. Our tester has the Luxury Package, so itÂ’s equipped with massaging front seats, heated rear seats and a heated steering wheel. Additionally, Volvo finishes the headliner in Nubuck, and the grab handles and visors get leather. Unlike everybody else, Volvo allows you to choose between three levels of heat for the steering wheel. ItÂ’s noticeable to our hands, and is great when you want to add a little heat into your fingers without being scalded. As for the massage, itÂ’s backrest only. We wish it was back and bottom, but at least the programs available for your back are soothing.
Volvo uncovers widespread cheating by its Chinese dealers
Tue, 26 Mar 2013According to a report in Reuters, the findings of an internal investigation conducted by Geely-owned Volvo is that its Chinese dealers vastly overreported their sales numbers in 2011, then even more vastly underreported their 2012 sales figures. About "half the dealers" out of the 151 total outlets gamed the system in order to get incentives for reaching volume objectives, falsely recording about 7,000 more units sold than was actually the case. Instead of 47,140 cars sold in China in 2011, the real number should have been 39,871.
Volvo corporate books a sale once it ships a car to a dealer, so that meant there were 7,000 more cars in inventory than there should have been. To restore the balance, the dealers underreported their 2012 sales while they unloaded those extra cars since, naturally, they couldn't claim the sale again. That made it look like sales declined by 11 percent in 2012, even though they actually increased year-on-year. The adjusted sales number for 2012 totalled 45,896.
Volvo has met with its dealers and told them to stop the deceitful practice. The discrepancies weren't so great that the company plans to restate its historic numbers, but from now on, it apparently plans to occasionally check inventory to make sure the numbers match and that it has a true picture of how individual models are selling.
Volvo Car partners with Northvolt to develop and produce batteries
Mon, Jun 21 2021STOCKHOLM — Volvo Car Group, owned by China's Geely Holding, announced plans on Monday for a joint venture with Swedish battery maker Northvolt to develop sustainable batteries for its electric cars and set up a factory for production. The companies aim to set up a research and development center in Sweden to begin operations in 2022 and start a factory in Europe with a potential capacity to produce up to 50 gigawatt hours (GWh) per year in 2026. "Working closely with Northvolt will also allow us to strengthen our in-house development capabilities," said Hakan Samuelsson, chief executive at Volvo Car Group. Northvolt will become Volvo Cars' exclusive battery cell production partner in Europe. The factory will be powered by clean energy and is expected to employ around 3,000 people. The location of the plant has yet to be decided. Northvolt raised $2.75 billion in equity this month to expand capacity at the factory it is building in northern Sweden, and Volvo plans to source battery cells from that battery plant starting in 2024. German carmaker Volkswagen is Northvolt's biggest shareholder, and the battery maker has also got contracts worth billions from the likes of BMW and Scania. Battery makers are scrambling to keep up with demand as carmakers switch to electric in order to reduce planet-warming carbon emissions. Volvo Cars aims to sell 50% pure electric cars by the middle of this decade, and by 2030 it aims to sell only fully electric cars. Electric successor to Volvo's XC60 model will be the first car to feature battery cells developed through the joint venture.
