Hello, and thanks for looking at my auction. I am selling my 2007 Volvo S80 V8 AWD. I am the second owner and purchased this vehicle in August 2012 from Volvo of Charleston. I have put very little mileage on this car in the time that I've owned it (less than 1,300 miles). Vehicle is Ice White in color with Sandstone Beige leather interior. This vehicle has been meticulously cared for and has always been garaged. It is in excellent condition both cosmetically and mechanically. Still under Volvo factory warranty through April 18, 2014 or 100,000 miles(whichever comes first). Car is very nicely optioned and comes with the sport package, including ventilated seats, 4C adjustable suspension, bi-xenon headlamps, 18" wheels and the climate package. Vehicle does not have BLIS or onboard NAV system. It also has the upgraded 650-watt Dynaudio sound system with 12 speakers, 6 disc CD changer and XM/Sirius capability. How many other cars does it take to kill a Volvo?
Thu, 27 Dec 2012We all know how safe Volvo cars are, but a European junkyard has decided to put it to the test by crashing, jumping and rolling the life out of an 850 wagon. While government tests use automated systems to crash new cars, the guys in this video do so with a driver behind the wheel. Aside from what looks like a safety harness and roll bar for the driver, it seems like this car is otherwise bone stock.
Not wanting to spoil the fun for you, we'll just point out that at the start of the video, our hero car looks pretty flawless, and by the end, well, let's just say the Craigslist ad for the car would say "needs some body work." Volvo shows off 345-hp S60 and V60 Polestar
Thu, 06 Feb 2014We showed you the hot, new Volvo V60 Polestar a few months back and raved about the fact that this long-roofed family car can hit 60 miles per hour in just 4.9 seconds. Now, we're seeing it and its four-doored brother, the S60 Polestar sedan, in person for the first time.
As we told you when the V60 Polestar was unveiled, both cars are motivated by a 3.0-liter, turbocharged six-cylinder that generates 345 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque, with peak twist arriving between 2,800 and 4,750. Power is channeled to a rear-biased all-wheel-drive system via a six-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters and launch control.
Both Polestar models benefit from a suspension that features Öhlins shocks, while they ride on 20-inch "bespoke" wheels. Six-cylinder Brembo calipers clamp down on 14.6-inch rotors in front, meaning these Volvos should come to a stop as quickly as they get going.
