This is my 2004 Volvo  S60 R, I have had the car for around a year now and have absolutely loved it. The car has not had a single problem since I have owned it and drives like brand new, I receive many compliments on how nice the car is and how well it drives. My reason for selling is, This car will be my second Volvo in which neither one ever let me down and both we're always a pleasant experience to drive, also the quality of the cars for the money I believe can not be beaten. That said, I've decided to go ahead and buy a newer Volvo.

Maintenance
-The car has had all the lubrication, air and oil filter changes before needed, how I treat all of my cars. Oil was changed every 3000 miles with Castrol synthetic and a new filter.
-I have had the car on the lift myself  and everything looked tight and leak free, The underside of the car is completely dry.
-The angle gear was said to be replaced by previous owner at 100,000 miles, Which I do believe Because you can tell it has been taken out and replaced before just by quick inspection.
-Future maintenance, The only thing I can tell the car needs would be a set of front rotors if you were to drive the car spiritedly (hard braking)

The good and Extras
The car has been driven smoothly and not beaten on, most of all of the cars miles have been highway miles.
The paint other then a 2 or 3 spots is 9/10
Car drives amazingly(like its new, the adjustable suspension and steering/throttle response is spot on and works every time)
Car has tint all the way around I'm not sure how dark but I know it's in the 30's on the side and probably 20 or 25 on the back glass.
The car has a ipod hook up in the center console (the connector needs to be replaced ($10 and 5 minutes of your time)
The tires have 50-60% tread left
The car comes with a extra drivers seat
Also comes with a extra drivers side headlight lens

The Bad
-Paint on the rims is chipping(these cars are known for that)
-Right passenger door very small ding (not noticeable unless looking for it)
-Small crack on on passenger rear view mirror(about a inch or inch and a half)
-Scratch on left side of rear bumper
-Small burn hole in driver side seat.( Car comes with a driver seat in better condition)
-Driver side headlight has crack in it (sealed with silicone, Car comes with new headlight glass)

Everything is very minor problems that touch up and minutes of your time could fix.

Do not hesitate to message me with a question or leave your phone number and I would be glad to Call or Text you. Also if you would like certain pictures feel free to ask.

Thanks for looking and happy bidding!

Sweden's Prince Carl Philip to race for Volvo in STCC

Tue, 04 Dec 2012

Prince Carl Philip Bernadotte has it good. He is a member of the Swedish Royal Family, he dates a model and he has been voted by Forbes as one of the "20 Hottest Young Royals." If that were not enough, he is a fairly successful racecar driver. The latter has earned him a spot on the Volvo Polestar racing team for the Swedish Touring Car Championship. The prince will be piloting a race-spec S60 in the 2013 STCC campaign.
Starting in 2008, Prince Carl Philip began competing in the Porsche Carrera Cup, where he placed as high as 11th. In 2010, he finished first in the Porsche GT3 Endurance competition, and most recently, he placed fourth in the 2012 Swedish GT GTB.
As his motorsport career up to this point suggests, the prince is quite serious about racing and the STCC is the next step up. According to Prince Carl Philip, "There is no tougher championship in Sweden and at the same time as I have respect for it, it motivates me greatly." You can read more on Prince Carl Philip's upcoming campaign with Polestar in the press release below.

Roger Moore dies at 89; a look back at his automotive moments

Tue, May 23 2017

According to Reuters, actor Roger Moore passed away this morning. The news source reports he died of cancer at age 89. Moore has a place in automotive enthusiasts' hearts thanks to his connection to some of the most famous onscreen cars in history. He portrayed James Bond in multiple films, perhaps most famously in The Spy Who Loved Me, in which his Bond piloted an amphibious Lotus Esprit. That car inspired many, even Elon Musk, who purchased the submarine version of the car. He also included it as an Easter egg in the Tesla Model S. That wasn't the only memorable Moore automotive moment. In two other Bond films, his character was involved in some remarkable stunts. In The Man with the Golden Gun, Moore's Bond drives an AMC Hornet over a ramp and does a barrel roll. Although cheesy, the stunt did happen. According to The Telegraph, a Cornell University aeronautical computer ran a simulation of the stunt and calculated the variables (such as the proper speed: 40 mph). Then British stuntman Loren "Bumps" Willard executed the roll on the first take, earning a GBP30,000 bonus. Which is a lot of money for a scene that uses a slide whistle as a sound effect. Moore is also associated with a great car thanks to his other famous role on the TV show The Saint. In that series, he drove the beautiful and unusual Volvo P1800 coupe. The car was enough of an icon that Jay Leno featured it on his Jay Leno's Garage series. Related Video:

Volvo changes 'Iron Mark' logo to fit with the times

Mon, Sep 27 2021

Volvo's first car debuted in 1927, bearing the Swedish automaker's now-famous "Iron Mark" logo of a circle with an arrow pointing to the upper right. For 73 of the 94 years since that Volvo OV 4 open carriage, the company's been represented graphically by four versions of a two-dimensional-looking logo, either a colorful oval that looks like a sandwich shop sign, or the Iron Mark logo, or just script. From 2000 to 2020, that Volvo cars trademark has changed four more times (plus once for Volvo trucks), Volvo creating three versions of a 3D-looking Iron Mark with a blue bar across the middle containing the script, and in 2020, changing the font of the script. Now that's it's 2021, it's apparently time for another overhaul. Visitors to Volvo's Facebook page realized Volvo changed its profile picture to a new and very flat version of its Iron Mark. This isn't the revolution everyone's making it out to be. When Volvo debuted its last new Iron Mark in 2015, one of the Swedish ad agencies that created it wrote, "The logo has been simplified in its purest form and conveys the brand’s vision: to be the world's most progressive and desirable premium car brand." Thing is, the agencies created two versions of the logo — one in silver with three-dimensional shading that retained the blue crossbar drawn up in 2000, and another in black and white, a solid black circle and attached arrow with a black crossbar bearing white "Volvo" script. The automaker's been using the silver, shaded version everywhere the public would see it. Seems Volvo wanted something even more "simplified in its purest form," though, so it could have simply requested a tweak to the B&W version it's been sitting on for six years.   The question, "Do you like it," probably doesn't matter, because it won't stop anyone from buying the product. Besides, the Volkswagen logo went flat in 2019, Nissan went flat in 2020 and so did BMW, except that its flat roundel is for everything but its cars, and Kia went flat this year — along with Warner Brothers, Pringles UK, and Burger King, that last company seemingly trying to win an award for being plain. Simplicity in two dimensions is the thing now. A Volvo Australia rep told Drive the rollout "will be gradual. [This week] we start by rolling out the updated identity on our main website, main social media platforms and in the new Volvo Cars mobile app.
