Offered at no reserve. This has been a great car for our expanding family, unfortunately we are in need of a larger vehicle(Suburban).  This car cannot accomadate all members of our crew.  We are selling our Tahoe and this car to by the larger vehicle.  This car is great.  The pictures speak from themselves.    Fun to drive, very comfortable and very safe.  It is our second C70.  The car comes with the new car warranty and only one issue- there are some marks on the bumper by the opening of the trunk where a computer bag was taken out of the trunk and rubbed the bumper- otherwise no issues with the car.   We have clean title in hand. Regarding the marks on the bumper, we will give the buyer the option of $100 cash back or we will have the marks professionally removed.  PLEASE NOTE THERE IS ONLY ONE KEY AT THIS TIME-  we are attempting to find the other key but have yet to find-  sorry. (the result of the majority of the household being seven years old or less).  Please anticipate only one key- and, if we are very lucky, you may be plesantly surprised.

Upon closing of the auction there needs to be a $500.00 deposit via Paypal due with in 24 Hours. The balance must be paid in cash or wire transfer to the dealership from whom we are purchasing the new car.  The dealership will not release the car until funds are recieved (and cleared).

The car is in Vero Beach Florida. 32963.  You can see we have sold a number of cars on ebay and have always been fair and honest-  not to mention is this car is an easy one- it's clean.

The car is being offered locally. Reserve the right to cancel the auction for reason or no reason.

If you are in Florida then sales tax, title and transfer fees will be collected, unless you are a dealer. We have found the new car we are purchasing so the title and bill of sale will come from the dealer- we will pay the dealer fee. If you are out of Florida the car, you can either have the car transported by carrier (at your expense) or if you are coming to pick up, the dealership will collect sales tax (at your state's rate) and put a temp tag.

If you have any questions, please let me know. Thanks a ton for looking.

Volvo calls in S60 T5 over oil pressure indicator

Mon, 30 Dec 2013

As anyone with a driver's license should be able to tell you, the oil pressure indicator on a car is a vital feature. If you don't have enough oil pressure, your engine could seize up, leaving you stranded and causing catastrophic damage for both your automobile and your wallet. Worryingly, then, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says that the oil pressure indicator lamp on certain Volvo S60 models is prone to failure, prompting the manufacturer to issue a recall.
The issue pertains to MY2011-2012 Volvo S60s with turbocharged five-cylinder engines manufactured between June 22, 2010 and May 14, 2012. All told, precisely 30,929 units are affected by the recall campaign. The owners of affected models will be notified by Volvo to bring in their cars to their local dealer for a software update. See the official notice below for details.

Apple CarPlay drawing early safety concerns [w/video]

Sun, 09 Mar 2014

Apple's CarPlay infotainment system hasn't made it into a single vehicle yet, and it's already drawing criticism for distracting drivers among safety advocates. The new tech unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show pairs users' iPhones with the car's dashboard display to make calls, dictate messages and listen to music. Some automakers, like Volvo, also let users interact with the HVAC system from the screen.
"The idea that people want to be on their phones, and therefore let's give them a way to do that -- that's not putting safety first, that's putting convenience and the desire to be in touch first," said Bruce Hamilton, manager of research and communications at the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety, to CNN Money.
Distracted driving is a huge concern on modern roads with more vehicles allowing drivers to use their smartphones through Bluetooth and infotainment systems. A Texas A&M study found that drivers' reaction time doubled while dictating text messages, according to CNN Money. The new tech is certainly not making drivers pay more attention.

These are the top luxury cars bought by people entering the segment for the first time

Fri, 25 Jul 2014

Let's say you just got a big promotion at work or the kids are moving out of the house, and you finally have some extra money. You decide to blow it all at once and treat yourself by upgrading your ride. Naturally, you look to a luxury automaker. What do you choose?
Models like the Audi A3 and Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class may be tailor-made to introduce buyers to the premium segment, but a new study finds that they don't garner the highest rates of non-luxury customer conquests. It turns out that a Volvo leads among folks moving up to a premium brand, and it isn't even one that's made anymore, at that.
A recent study by Polk and IHS Automotive looked at what models had the highest rates of buyers upgrading from a non-luxury segment. The information comes from its new vehicle registration data through April 2014. All ten top models boasted conquest rates of over 50 percent, but the Volvo C70 led the field with 68.01 percent of its customers coming from non-premium brands.
