Rare 6-speed! This is a fantastic 2007 Volvo C70 Hard Top Convertible with only 47,000 miles. This car has been professionally maintained and is in perfect operating condition. Scheduled service was just performed this month and everything checked out perfect on the car. Cosmetically it's as close to new as you can hope for in a 2007, which is due to the low mileage and the fact that I take good care of my vehicles. It has the rare 6-speed manual transmission which drives almost like a true sports car, but it has the refined feel you would expect from Volvo. When we were shopping for this car, we were comparing it to the BMW 3 Series Hard Top Convertible. I like BMWs and I actually own two other BMW models, but the Volvo C70 clearly won the comparison in this category. I'm really sad to sell it but "Baby #2" is coming.
New brakes, new battery and 4 new tires (Dunlop Sport Signature, which are fantastic compared to the Michelin Pilots that come stock).
Here are the features:
- Celestial Blue Metallic Exterior
- Quartz Interior (Light Grey)
- 2.5 Liter Turbocharged Inline-5 Engine

Polestar says goodbye to Volvo C30 in video tribute
Tue, 12 Mar 2013The Volvo C30 was put to its eternal bed a few months ago, but the tuners at Polestar have a little more eulogizing to do. The Swedish house of speed that has raced and reworked the little hatch since its introduction in 2006 wants the world to know what they've been through together, so it has encapsulated seven years of around-the-world action into three minutes and 28 seconds of track footage and champagne.
We're still waiting on word of a replacement for the funny little hatch, and while we lament what could have been, the video below proves that the C30 provided plenty of thrills for those outside of the US. And as you can read in our recent review of the Polestar-enhanced road-going C30, it provided a decent amount of fun for those of us in the States, as well.
Volvo: Tesla's Autopilot is just a 'wannabe'
Fri, Apr 29 2016Using the words "unsupervised wannabe" in an interview with The Verge, Volvo's Trent Victor says the Tesla Autopilot is "giving the impression it's doing more than it is." According to Victor, Tesla's self-driving tech is merely appearing to be autonomous because, with the Tesla system, the driver has to be fully alert all the time, ready to regain control. Tesla says its system is Level 2 autonomous, although some experts regard it as Level 3, which means it takes over safety-critical functions from the driver. Volvo says it pays more attention to actual crash avoidance, and that its Drive Me system is Level 4 autonomous, meaning that in the event of a hazardous situation the vehicle will handle the appropriate procedures and bring itself to a halt in a safe fashion. There will be no need for the driver to take action, which is important in case the driver has been incapacitated while the Drive Me autopilot has been controlling the car. Another thing with the Volvo setup is that it monitors the road in case of a conflict situation, or someone suddenly appearing in front of the car, be it a pedestrian or a runaway child. Tesla has never said that its Autopilot is anything other than a beta version under trial usage. It costs $2,500 when you purchase your Model 2 or X, or $3,000 as a add-on once you've taken delivery. The company also just announced that it would offer Autopilot for free as part of a one-month trial. Tesla declined to comment on Volvo's comment. How many other cars does it take to kill a Volvo?
Thu, 27 Dec 2012We all know how safe Volvo cars are, but a European junkyard has decided to put it to the test by crashing, jumping and rolling the life out of an 850 wagon. While government tests use automated systems to crash new cars, the guys in this video do so with a driver behind the wheel. Aside from what looks like a safety harness and roll bar for the driver, it seems like this car is otherwise bone stock.
Not wanting to spoil the fun for you, we'll just point out that at the start of the video, our hero car looks pretty flawless, and by the end, well, let's just say the Craigslist ad for the car would say "needs some body work." Check out the video below to watch some stunts that even the Duke Boys might shy away from.
