This is a very clean well maintained Volvo c70 convertible with only 92k miles. The car has been upgraded to look like a 2004 model. The car is very very clean on the outside and the inside is decent. The front seats have a rip where the seem is on the bottom part. The A/C blows cold and the heat is hot. It comes equipt with suround sound system. The cars has been painted a few years ago because of a minor bump on one of the doors. But the quality of the paint is excellent. It does not look like it was painted. There are a couple of minor issues with the car. The passenger front door does not open from the outside. The top works great but sometimes, after the top is open, you have to push one of the sides to get it to lock in. It chimes until it is open completely. Lastly the ABS light recently came on. Most of the time it shuts off by itself. The rest of the car is excellent. I would not hesitate to drive it across the country. It looks like a $10,000 car and drives like one as well. The title is in my name and will easily pass smog if purchased in California. I reserve the right to end the auction early if I sell it locally for my $4995 asking price. Volvo Concept XC Coupe is ready to hit the slopes
Tue, 14 Jan 2014There's something inescapably right about a Swedish car with a set of skis on its roof. It doesn't matter if it's a Jurassic-era Volvo Amazon, a Saab 900 Turbo, or even a Koenigsegg Agera R. Surely it's some sort of Scandinavian birthright... right along with immaculate complexion. The latest to carry on that tradition in fine form? The Volvo Concept XC Coupe, just released at this week's Detroit Auto Show.
The two-door, four-seat XC Coupe rolled onto stage here at Cobo pre-outfitted with a matching ski box, looking sharp on its 21-inch wheels. According to Volvo, the box isn't an afterthought - in fact, the XC Coupe's design itself was "inspired by modern sports equipment."
As for the rest of the concept's genetic makeup, at this point, we don't have much to go on. Volvo has admitted that the XC Coupe rides atop its new boron-steel-intensive Scalable Product architecture, but it has declined to outline any sort of powertrain details. We're not sure if this showcar has any production future, but we do expect for its design language to inform the next-generation XC90 crossover.
Volvo C30 Polestar Concept hits the 'Ring
Mon, 05 Aug 2013It's been over three years since the Volvo C30 Polestar Concept was unveiled, driven by journalists and, as it turns out, lapped around the Nürburgring with Scandinavian Touring Car Championship driver Robert Dahlgren behind the wheel. For whatever reason, the video of the 'Ring track session was only published by the tuning company yesterday. (Another discrepancy: Did Polestar's C30 lose 46 horsepower somewhere along the line? Because the video states that it has 405 hp, while the company's website quotes 451 hp...)
Whatever the case, the tuned Volvo is a beast, much more so than the similar-looking, 250-hp 2013 Volvo C30 Polestar Limited Edition that was sold last year. With 451 hp (sounds better than 405 hp, doesn't it?), all-wheel drive, limited-slip differentials front and rear and Öhlins dampers, the Polestar Concept checks all of the right boxes for us.
For some reason, the video, which you can watch below, seems a bit vanilla to us. Perhaps the overly dramatic music takes away from the action and the beautiful sounds of the turbocharged five-cylinder engine?
Volvo Polestar celebrates STCC title with Black R edition S60, V60 and XC60
Sat, 21 Dec 2013The relationship between Volvo and Polestar was forged - and forges deeper still - on the racetrack, where the latter fields the former's tin-top entries in the STCC, WTCC and V8 Supercars. And based on their success together in touring-car racing, Volvo has had Polestar amp up a number of its production road cars. What we have here is the latest.
This year Volvo and Polestar dominated the Scandinavian Touring Car Championship, taking both the drivers' and manufacturers' titles. So to celebrate, Polestar has rolled out a new Black R package for the S60 sedan, V60 wagon and XC60 crossover.
The package includes an upgrade to 329 horsepower for the T6 engine and to 230 hp for the D5, and further enhances with special wheels, a dropped suspension, special sport seats and more. Unfortunately the package is only being offered in Sweden, but you can scope out the details in the press release below and the photos in the gallery above.
