Volvo 1996 850R Turbo Sedan. Black with Charcoal interior. All "R" features present. Clean and runs great. Current service, easily passed California smog test and ready to go. Currently registered in my name (expires 7-2013). Clean Title with California Pink Slip in hand. This has been my daily driver for a few years and I have moved on to a Volvo AWD car, so this has to go. All options including cold AC, leather/Acantra seats (excellent condition - no tears), sunroof, OEM 8 speaker CD/radio system with upgraded front door speakers. Other upgrades include IPD Brand braided brake lines, Bilstein Brand "Black" Touring shocks/struts, cat back exhaust system. Everything works. Has original "Volan" wheels including full sized matching spare. Adult owned. Has some nicks and minor scratches consistent with a 17yr old car. 231k miles. Watch Polestar talk about the development of its super S60

Polestar is getting ready to deliver its first production car, the Volvo S60 Polestar. Letting the S60 stretch its legs, Polestar Racing driver Robert Dahlgren took the blue sedan from Barcelona, Spain to Jokkmokk, Sweden - stopping for wet-weather testing in Germany along the way.
Dahlgren narrates the journey of the "pilot project" that has 350 horsepower and around 368 pound-feet of torque, and will perhaps be the first in an era of hardcore Volvo production cars. It will go on sale in Australia this Summer, with other markets "under investigation." While we non-Aussies wait with fingers crossed, there's a video below to enjoy.

The new XC90 isn't just about the new XC90 - it's as much about the new generation of Volvos that will result.
Around the turn of the millennium, Volvo seemed like the perfect automaker to make a crossover. It had, after all, already established for itself a reputation for building all-wheel-drive wagons for transporting families in safety and comfort. But while its competitors marched one by one into the luxury utility market, Volvo held out. That was, anyway, until the debut of the original XC90 in 2002. And it's never looked back since.

Current Volvo XC90 to live on in China?

The current, long-serving Volvo XC90 might not be going away as soon as we thought - at least not in China. According to word from CarNewsChina, the crossover's production will be moved to Daqing, China, in December and from that point on, be built at Geely's factory. The only available engine will be a 2.5-liter turbocharged five-cylinder.
According to the report, the present XC90 and the imminent next-generation model will both be sold in the market, but the Chinese-made vehicle will be positioned as a cheaper alternative. Geely will also develop a crossover of its own from the platform that should be ready in late 2015.
Volvo plans to launch the new XC90 later this year to replace the aging model, which has been on the market for over a decade. It will ride on the company's new Scaleable Product Architecture platform and will be powered by the automaker's new Drive-E four-cylinder engine family. Hybrid versions will also be available.
