This 95 850 Turbo lost compression in one cylinder a year ago, August 2012. I parked it, and it has sat since then. There is oil in the coolant expansion tank. Engine still runs, and had not been using any oil, pulled strong until the lost compression. Transmission works great. Exhaust lines are in good shape. Body has almost no dents and dings, although there is a good bit of paint fading and peeling. Tires are mix and match. Suspension components are mostly tight, although the shocks and struts are soft. Interior is generally in decent shape. The driver's seat has a few tears in the leather. AC was working well when the car was parked, never had leak issues with it. New windshield two years ago; all other glass is good. All lights and lenses are good, as far as I know. The battery charge is down, but I can give a boost to anyone picking it up.
The odometer is incorrect. A new odometer was installed when the car had 110.000. The new odometer racked up 147,000, then quit. I've put on some miles since then. I estimate between 250,000 and 260,000.
I have the spoiler and a new mounting kit at a different location. The old mounts had rusted loose. I can ship the spoiler to you. Let me know of interest.
I've owned this car for six years; I got it from Florida.
The car may be picked up. I will not be responsible for shipping. I require full payment upon pick-up or shipment.
I can get $400 if I junk the car, but you and I know it's worth more than that. The car is sold as is. Thanks for considering... and bidding.

Volvo's latest export from Sweden: paid parental leave
Tue, Mar 30 2021STOCKHOLM — Volvo Cars will offer all its employees worldwide 24 weeks paid parental leave in a bid to support female executives and equal parenting. The carmaker, which is based in Sweden but owned by China's Geely Holding, has over 40,000 employees. From next month, all staff who have worked in Volvo plants and offices for at least a year will be entitled to the leave each time they have a child and will receive 80% of their base pay during the period, the company said on Tuesday. Sweden is one of few countries that already offers leave by law for either parent. "Some countries do not offer any paid leave to new parents, or exclude certain groups of parents – the latter is particularly true for fathers," the company, which previously did not have a global policy but adapted to local regulations, said in a statement. Around a third of Volvo's senior managers are currently female. The company aims to raise that share to 50%, a spokeswoman said, adding that Volvo's new policy will improve conditions for staff on parental leave not least in China and the United States. "When parents are supported to balance the demands of work and family, it helps to close the gender gap and allows everyone to excel in their careers," said Volvo Cars CEO Hakan Samuelsson. The global policy applies to either parent and the leave can be taken anytime within the first three years of parenthood. In Sweden, new parents are in general entitled by law to around a year of parental leave on up to 80% pay. Â
Volvo confirms V60 Sportswagon engine lineup for US
Fri, 13 Sep 2013
In addition to revamping its entire 2014 lineup, Volvo has already promised us that we'll be getting the V60 wagon early next year, but now the Swedish automaker has confirmed that sexy wagon will go on sale in January. If that's not good enough for you diehard station wagon models, there's even better news: An available R-Design model will be the "fastest and most powerful wagon in Volvo history."
The V60 R-Design will have a turbocharged inline six-cylinder engine under the hood producing 325 horsepower and 354 pound-feet of torque. Other engines available in the wagon will include the company's well-regarded turbo inline-five along with a new turbo inline-four wearing the Drive-E name. Volvo says Drive-E can "offer the opportunity" to add electrification, but there's no word as to whether or not the US will receive a V60 plug-in model. Also not yet released are fuel economy, vehicle specs and pricing. More information about the V60 and its powertrains are available in the official press release posted below.
Volvo studying test of electric roads in Sweden
Tue, 27 May 2014Volvo already announced the results of a study of wireless charging using a stationary C30, and now it's embarking on a more ambitious study of wireless charging involving moving city buses. Next year, in conjunction with the Swedish Transport Association, Volvo will build a section of electric road up to 500 meters long that would use inductive charging to refill the batteries while the bus drives over it.
Right now, the company's Hyper Bus diesel hybrid has to stop to plug in and charge at the end of its route. The company is looking for a way to keep buses in service while being able to run on electric power for greater lengths of time. The new line used for the study will be called ElectriCity, and will come online in central Gothenburg sometime in 2015. There's a press release below with more information.
