NO RESERVE+++++++++GREAT MPG. I consistently get around 28mpg. Well used car with plenty of life left in it. These cars just keep chugging and chugging on. Personally I think that the 740 is the best car that Volvo ever made as far as dependability goes. I hear of people getting 500,000 miles or more on these things. The engine and transmission are bulletproof. Oil was changed every 3K and if something broke it was always repaired the right way. But make no mistake, this car is certainly used as the photos will show. There is rust here and there but nothing too terribly visible. Volvo seems to do a pretty good job with their galvanizing process. The paint is scratched and dented. (What appears to be rust on the tailgate is just paint coming off of the galvanizing) The interior leather is pretty cracked and there is no headliner. The front seats are Gorilla-taped underneath the colorful front seat covers. Front tires are OK, the rear are not great. (Will also include in sale one extra tire, extra rim, several extra hub caps, etc.) The car is in very good mechanical shape and just passed the NY State safety inspection. I have driven it from upstate New York to the Outer Banks and back for the last three years without a problem. This is a great student car (very safe) or train station vehicle (my use). I installed a nice SONY-APLINE-POLK CD Audio system. Sounds great! It would be easy to add a sub-woofer because I have done all the wiring already. The AC does not work but all the parts are there. (I think it would take more than a "shot of freon" to get it cooling.) Any questions, ask away. If your total number of feedback responses is less than "10" please contact me before bidding. If your rating is under "99.9%" please contact me before bidding. Your bids will be automatically canceled if you do not meet these criteria. I don't mean to be cranky but some knucklehead just cost me $60.00 when he decided not to show up after he won an auction. Please don't bid if you don't intend to purchase. Many thanks and happy bidding.

Next-generation Volvo XC90 interior revealed
Tue, 27 May 2014Volvo has officially kicked off the slow burn that will lead to the eventual unveiling of the next-generation XC90, in August. Its initial foray into the public eye will be with these, a series of 20 images of the new three-row SUVs interior, which is very, very Swedish (there are even the most adorable little Swedish flags on the seats).
In all, it looks like a positively sumptuous place to sit, with sharp looking woods and a crystal shifter, crafted by Orrefors Glassworks in Sweden. It's a clean, minimalist design that we imagine will age quite nicely.
Featured quite prominently - and the main part of the cabin that doesn't strike us as minimalist - is the very large touchscreen. Aligned in a portrait layout, which hasn't been done by too many automakers, it will be home to a new type of infotainment system that will make its debut in Volvo's flagship SUV. It also looks like we can expect digital gauges when the XC90 finally arrives.
Watch this video, then buy this 1993 Volvo wagon
Mon, 12 May 2014Do you want to be perceived as rich and cuddly? Of course you do. Then you need to buy this car.
We know it makes no sense, but that pretty much sums up our take on the video you'll see below, in which a man by the name of Christoffer Castor, from Scania County in Southern Sweden, attempts to convince any and all who watch to buy his car. The car in question is a 1993 Volvo 240 wagon, in red with a black fabric interior.
We have quite a bit of respect for the old boxy Volvo wagons here at Autoblog, and, despite the presence of some unsightly rust on the tailgate, would gladly bum about in this particular 240. We especially appreciate the five-speed manual gearbox and that it's from the car's final year in production.
