No Reserve: 2013 Vw Touareg Executive Vr6 (gas Engine) Outstanding Condition! on 2040-cars
Woodbury, New Jersey, United States
Up for auction at NO RESERVE is my 2013 VW Touareg Executive VR6 (Gasoline) Sport Utility Vehicle. This impeccable #1 condition SUV will be sold to the highest bidder here on eBay. I am listing my Touareg as I just ordered a 2015 Porsche Macan Turbo, so this ‘baby brother’ Volkswagen SUV has to find a new home. All the car needs is a new owner and a garage and she’s ready to be enjoyed this summer. The 20,000 mile maintenance was just performed by my Volkswagen dealer and included an oil change, air filter, fuel filter, cabin filter and tire rotation. The tires are wearing very evenly, and as you can see in the photos have plenty of miles remaining. A bit about the car. I am the original owner and the car has just over 20,594 miles. I purchased her new in December of 2013 at Prestige Volkswagen in Turnersville, NJ. The original stick price was $56,030.00, however I had the dealer install a genuine OEM VW 7,700lbs factory tow hitch and wiring kit, which would have placed the car’s MSRP at around $57,000.00. The car is Pure White with the very desirable and contrasting Cornsilk Beige leather interior and two-tone dash/upper door panels. The car looks outstanding, especially with the Panoramic sunroof open, and the light color leather stays nice and cool even on hot summer days. As you can see in the photos of the window sticker, this Touareg is “loaded”, there were no other factory options available and the Executive is the top of the line trim level. Below are some highlights of the cars options list:
The car’s condition is outstanding and flawless. The car has never been off road, has never been in an accident, and has never had any paintwork or paint less dent repairs. The only comments I can make on condition are a few very tiny stone chips on the front bumper (which you can’t see in the photos), which are typical for a car which has been on the road. The interior is also in beautiful like new condition. The Cornsilk Beige leather looks like brand new (and still smells new) and has no rips, tears or signs of wear. The car was owned by a non-smoker and pets have never traveled in this SUV. A complete spring detail was just completed personally by myself including paint decontamination (clay bar), swirl removal using my Porter Cable 7424 random orbital buffer and Menzerna polishes, and (4) coats of Black Fire Wet Diamond synthetic polymer show car sealant has been applied by hand. The interior was also fully detailed and the engine bay was dressed by hand. Honestly, the car just needs to be driven and enjoyed. Below are a couple of YouTube videos to show the car and a ride along: 2013 VW Touareg Executive Overview: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ycOiiAQyVj8 Touareg Ride along Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CZ80JZTbARM I have listed the vehicle at no reserve with a starting price of $39,000.00. If you really want the car I have also included a buy it now option of $39,750.00, which is thousands of dollars under Kelly Blue Book and Edmunds private party value, which is $43,000.00 - $44,000.00. If you were to see this car on a dealer’s lot, the asking price would be $46,000.00. Frankly, I am a car guy and would like to see my Touareg go to a good new owner. Included with the sale are (2) VW key fobs (the primary one just received a brand new CR2332 battery), the original window sticker, all factory owners manuals and documentation and the VW first aid kit. The balance of the factory warranty is transferrable to the next owner. A few final points and conditions: Given that this is a no reserve auction, once an opening bid has been placed the auction must run its course and the buy it now option will disappear. Also, as part of the terms of sale the winner bidder will purchase the vehicle from me as a courtesy pass through from my Porsche dealer located in Newtown Square, PA (about 30 minutes outside of Philadelphia). This will help with two points (a) it will speed up the process in selling the car to the new owner and (b) it will permit me to realize the sales tax credit on the purchase of my new Porsche. And finally, upon close of the auction a PayPal deposit of $500.00 must be received within 24 hours. The final purchase will be via bank check, cash or wire transfer in the exact amount of the balance due. Should you have any questions or would like to come see the Touareg and take a test drive please send me a message through eBay. Please purchase with total confidence as this is truly an outstanding vehicle, priced way under the market value for a fast sale. As you can see my eBay feedback is 100% and I take great time, effort and pride to accurately represent and advertise items which I own and list for sale. As a gauge, I also own several show winning Corvettes. My 1964 Stingray was on loan and displayed for over one year at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green Kentucky. Truly, I am an OCD car nut and take the best care of my vehicles. Thank you for your time and interest! -Chuck |

Small 3-row crossover SUVs specifications compared on paper
Thu, May 10 2018There's no shortage of three-row vehicles on the market for carrying seven or more people and their stuff wherever they all need to go. Just about every car company has at least one large crossover or traditional SUV with three rows of seats, and there are still plenty of minivans to pick from. But most of these vehicles are large, pricey, and frequently thirsty. Fortunately, there are still a handful of smaller crossovers that deliver 7-passenger capability in a smaller, cheaper package. We've gathered four of the small three-row set here to compare them based on space, power, fuel economy, pricing, and more. They include the very old Dodge Journey, the slightly less old Mitsubishi Outlander and Kia Sorento, and the relatively new Volkswagen Tiguan. You can see the raw numbers in the chart below, followed by a more detailed breakdown and some notes on how we like each of these vehicles. For in-depth opinions on the vehicles, be sure to check out our full reviews, and if you want to compare these with other vehicles, try out our comparison tools. Engines, transmissions and performance Interestingly, three of the four crossovers here utilize similar engines for their four-cylinder offerings. The Dodge, Kia and Mitsubishi all feature naturally aspirated 2.4-liter four-cylinder engines. Only the Volkswagen Tiguan chooses turbocharging and a smaller 2.0-liter displacement. But because of its turbocharger, the Tiguan's four-cylinder is easily the most potent, making a healthy 221 pound-feet of torque, which is more than 40 more than the Sorento, the crossover with the next most torque. The VW is also second-most powerful, just one horse behind the Sorento. The Outlander is the least powerful in the four-cylinder class. The Journey is only barely better, but it will probably feel as slow or worse thanks to its ancient 4-speed automatic. The four-cylinder Sorento and Outlander each have 6-speed automatic transmissions, and the VW has an 8-speed. The Sorento with a V6 has an 8-speed, too. View 17 Photos Moving up to the V6 class, the Outlander is once again at the bottom. It actually makes less torque than the turbo VW Tiguan. The Journey and Sorento are almost perfectly matched. The Journey makes a bit more torque; the Sorento makes a bit more power. The Journey also gets upgraded to a 6-speed automatic. Another powertrain consideration to bare in mind is whether all-wheel-drive is necessary.
Porsche again staring down another $1.8B in hedge fund lawsuits
Wed, 15 May 2013The sequence of events from 2007 that began with Porsche's secret attempt to take over Volkswagen, and instead lead to Porsche being taken over by VW, continues to instigate lawsuits against the Stuttgart sports car manufacturer. A group of hedge funds that suffered over $1 billion in losses sued the car company in New York. Porsche had publicly stated it wasn't trying to buy VW, the hedge funds in question were shorting VW stock, and when Porsche's actual intentions were revealed, the stock shot up and the hedge funds took a beating.
The case was thrown out over the issue of jurisdiction, then appealed, only to see another suit filed on top of that. After that, most of the hedge funds withdrew their claims in New York and Porsche offered a 90-day window to refile in Germany where it is already fighting a number of other suits over the same issue. The hedge funds accepted the offer, refiling in Stuttgart for $1.8 billion in damages. According to Bloomberg, Porsche hasn't commented on the refiling, but as the same plaintiffs are involved, it's safe to assume that the carmaker still feels the case is "unsubstantiated and without merit." It has fared alright so far even in German courts, with two lesser cases against it thrown out last year.
Lincoln Aviator returns, VW ponders pickups, and Subaru Forester endures
Mon, Apr 2 2018NEW YORK – Volkswagen is taking a hard look at a pickup truck, the Lincoln Aviator is back, and you love old Subarus (we'll explain). The New York Auto Show returned last week with flair and a wide range of promising reveals. Let's break down some of the big news, plus a few things you might have missed. News: Ford is fortifying Lincoln with the Aviator SUV Views: Doing a mid-size SUV is obvious. Calling it the Aviator wasn't. I like it. Using Navigator design cues, this thing looks the part and should give Lincoln some energy and sales volume. Not playing in the midsize SUV segment has been a mistake for Ford's luxury brand, and the Aviator should fill a much-needed hole. Props to Lincoln for dusting off the Aviator name, most recently used on a rebadged Ford Explorer built in 2003-2005. It sounds classy and historic, like something from 1930s, even though it only dates to the tail end of the " Friends" era. Speaking of names, when the MKC gets a new one, Lincoln should dust off Zephyr, a moniker it actually used in the '30s and then briefly in the early 2000s. Why use the Aviator name? Jim Farley, Ford's president of global markets, said it's about reminding consumers that Ford has traditionally built strong SUVs. "I think in a way the legacy is falling in love with what we do best," he said. "We wanted to go back to our roots. We know how to do this well." Farley also said the Aviator could prove to be Lincoln's bestseller. The Aviator was well-received in New York, earning our Best in Show award and garnering cautiously optimistic reactions from some analysts. "Lincoln ran this experiment once before ... differences in the market conditions, stronger differentiation and appetite for utility vehicles may prove a different story for this Aviator," IHS analyst Stephanie Brinley said. View 19 Photos News: VW surprised the car world with the Atlas Tanoak pickup concept Views: Good move. VW should build this. The concept is based on a longer version of the Atlas platform and would take aim at the midsize truck segment. VW is using this prototype to "gauge the reactions" of automotive influencers, but make no mistake, the Tanoak is totally doable. Using Atlas bones and mechanicals punched up with rugged styling and some soft-road capability, the Tanoak would grow VW's portfolio in a smart way. The Atlas Cross Sport concept, also revealed in New York, signals that Atlas expansion is already underway.
