1981 Volkswagen Rabbit Diesel Pickup Truck. 50MPG at 60 mph and under. I purchased truck in the fall of 2012 from a woman. It belonged to her father and sat for six years before I bought it. Miles at purchase-175,864. Initially, I bought it as a parts truck for my other VW but it ran so well that I started driving it. Runs great and has good power with a strong engine. Does not smoke. Gets 50mpg at 60 mph and under. Gets 45 mpg at speeds of 65 to 70 mph. Needs some maintenance to be a GREAT truck. Needs struts, cv joints, glow plugs, and a vacuum kit. I drive it without power brakes. Injection timing is a little off and it has a small oil leak. I replaced the intermeter shaft seal to repair an oil leak. No rust that I have found. Camper shell included. Buyer reserves the right to end auction early. Being advertised elsewhere.

2015 VW Golf R caught getting a flogging on 'Ring
Wed, 22 May 2013The upcoming version of the Volkswagen Golf R is nearly ready for prime time, if this video of the car flying around the Nürburgring is any indication. The all-wheel-drive R seems to make quick, neat work of the corners we see here, and sounds pretty devilish in the process.
Expectations are that the new Golf R will run a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder (what else?), tuned to produce even more than the current car's 256 horsepower. (Some sources have indicated outputs as high as 286 horsepower, with 280 pound-feet of torque. It's still not clear if Volkswagen will bring the six-speed dual-clutch transmission to the US-spec Golf R in this next go-round or if we'll stick to having only... eh... the stick.
In either case - watching the video below will only whet your appetite for the new, highest performing member of the Golf family.
Volkswagen New Midsize Coupe Concept is an aspirational Jetta
Mon, 21 Apr 2014Meet the Volkswagen baby CC. Okay, that's not really it's name (VW calls it the New Midsize Coupe Concept), but this sleek, four-door coupe draws more than a little inspiration from the CC while riding on VW's MQB platform.
It's a looker, we think, and is an eye-pleasing departure from the bland styling of the current Jetta. The sleeker front end is complemented by a wider body overall (it's wider than a Passat), while the more sporting roofline and the sharp rear fascia gives the New Midsize Coupe a decidedly sporting character. LED head- and taillights add a bit more personality to this already stylish design.
Thanks to its 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder, it should get along rather sportingly, as well. The run to 62 miles per hour takes just 6.5 seconds thanks to the 217 horsepower on offer. A seven-speed dual-clutch automatic is also fitted, and contributes to an estimated 37 miles per gallon.
