2004 Vw Volkswagen Phaeton W/4yr 100k Warrenty V8 Sedan Low Us Miles Awd Lux! on 2040-cars
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States
If you don’t know allot about the Phaeton here is a link to a thorough review: www.acarplace.com/reviews/2005/phaeton.html THIS IS A EXTREMELY RARE, SUPER LOW MILEAGE all wheel drive 2004 aubergine nocturne Volkswagen Phaeton. I am the proud third owner of this beautiful VW vehicle. The Phaeton just passed PA emissions and inspection two weeks ago. I planed on trading the Phaeton in on our the new vehicle for our family, but I feel based on the service history, low mileage, great condition, color combo rarity, and care put into this vehicle the dealerships trade offer was low and I could do better selling it outright, and IMHO this is as near to perfect as a 60k car could ever be, a solid 9.9 out of 10. There are only Three Phaetons under 60k miles for sale in NA, with the lowest asking price at $19k so this car has been priced fairly for a serious buyer in the market. Best of all the sale includes a 4 year, 100,000 mile bumper to bumper transferable warranty for the new owner. There is not another one for sale anywhere with a warranty so please take this into serious consideration. What is the value of a warranty? Before buying this car my local dealer quoted 4 years/48,000 miles at a little over $7,000. That being said, within the last few thousand miles the following items have been serviced by our local Audi/VW dealer’s certified Phaeton technician:
All electronic features work on this vehicle (i.e. interior lights, buttons, mirrors, cold weather package front and rear, massage seats front and rear, etc.). In addition, there is practically no wear on any surfaces, and even the driver seat looks great (i.e. the love handle rubbing from getting in/out is about 99% non existent). Otherwise, all she needs is a good home and caring new owner. Feel free to contact me for a phone number to discuss. I AM NOT DEALER, and tire kickers are not appreciated. NO TRADES. No hurry to sell, so lowballers please look elsewhere. Clear title in hand. All receipts for work included dating back to 2007. No pets, no smoking, no odors, garage kept. Overall, an exceptionally clean car and likely the best on the market. I reserve the right to end the auction early or sell locally, so if interested, please make me a reasonable and firm best offer. If you want a PPI, that’s fine. I will be happy to take the car to the local ASE mechanic who has previously inspected the car to verify its excellent condition. I am open to offers, but will not entertain hagglers, unreasonable requests, or non-paying bidders. If you think this is not the car for you, or an unfair offering, then please and respectably by all means look elsewhere. THANK YOU!!!!

VW, Fiat, Mercedes could be CNG winners in Europe
Fri, Dec 12 2014Fiat ads in the US try to play up the exotic, sexy side of Italian culture. On the home front in Italy, however, passenger-vehicle sales are marked by something less edgy and quite a bit more practical: the growth of compressed-natural-gas (CNG) powered car sales. In fact, Italy is leading a group of European countries where CNG sales are on the upswing and may be benefiting automakers like VW, Fiat and Mercedes-Benz, according to Automotive News. VW started sales of its Golf TGI natural-gas vehicle this year – the company's fourth in Europe – while Mercedes-Benz added a natural-gas B-class model. Fiat accounts for about 50 percent of CNG vehicles sold on the continent. In all, Europe's CNG sales through September totaled about 67,000, up seven percent from a year earlier, Automotive News Europe says, citing research firm JATO Dynamics. And the number of CNG vehicles on Europe's roads could jump tenfold within the next decade. The draw is a combination of lower refueling prices and a CNG drivetrain that typically emits less CO2 than diesel vehicles. As for Italy, about five percent of new-vehicle sales are CNG. To put that into perspective, hybrids, battery-electric vehicles, plug-in hybrids and diesels combined to account for about 4.2 percent of US vehicle sales last year. VW budget sub-brand stuck in limbo over VW standards, costs
Sat, 01 Mar 2014Reports in October 2012 claimed Volkswagen had begun investigating the creation of its own budget brand. This came after having failed to purchase Malaysian car company Proton or produce a meaningful partnership with Suzuki, and after watching Renault-Nissan make piles of euro on Dacia and plot the return of Datsun.
For VW, more important than the question of what to call it was how to build it profitably and in a way that didn't damage the VW brand. According to a report in Autocar, a satisfactory answer still hasn't been found. The hurdle is how to hit "'necessary' quality and safety levels" at the price points needed to make the venture worthwhile. At the time of the 2012 report, German outlet Der Spiegel said VW was trying to get prices down to 6,000 to 8,000 euro ($7,784 to $10,379 US), about two thousand to four thousand euro under the price of the VW Up and in line with the cost of a 6,790-euro Dacia Sandero in Germany.
In March 2013, VW announced, "We want to bring a true budget car to the market in China in the foreseeable future," the most concrete move in that direction after years of planning to make a decision. Working with local Chinese maker FAW, it was predicted that the vehicle in question would appear around 2016, but as of November last year a final vote on it needed to wait until this year because "We are still working on the cost side" and profit possibilities for a car that "has to be durable, it has to be precise, it has to be safe."
Don't buy that crossover! Buy a cladded wagon instead!
Fri, Nov 10 2017If you're looking to buy a car soon, and you're like most Americans, there's a strong chance you're considering buying a crossover SUV. That's what people want nowadays. People like the tough, tall exterior that suggests adventure and preparedness, they like the high seating position, they like the all wheel drive many have and they like the practicality. Because of this, crossovers have rapidly supplanted typical cars such as sedans, wagons, and more as the most popular vehicles in the country. But they're compromised, too. They're often heavy, thirsty, and expensive compared with more conventional cars. The good news is, there's an alternative, a happy medium between the straight crossover and the traditional car. They're lifted wagons, and they're the best crossover SUVs around. And for those who may not know what we're talking about, we're talking about cars and wagons that have been given a suspension lift for more ground clearance and a higher ride height, and often have all wheel drive standard or optional. They also usually have chunky plastic body cladding to make them look tough and durable. Examples include the Subaru Crosstrek, Audi A4 Allroad, Buick Regal TourX, and Volkswagen Golf Alltrack, among others. Because of the suspension and body modifications, these vehicles fit the trendy crossover mold quite well. And in the case of long-running nameplates such as the Subaru Outback and Volvo Cross Country models, they even have some heritage as outdoorsy machines. They also provide the higher driving position that crossover buyers love. And in some cases, such as with the Golf Alltrack, we've learned they offer better ride quality than their road-oriented siblings. View 9 Photos So these tall wagons offer the key things crossover buyers want, but what makes them better than traditional crossovers is that they have the advantages of the cars they're based on. For instance, the aforementioned Golf Alltrack still drives mostly like a Golf, which is to say, it's nimble, feels peppy, and is easy to maneuver because of its relatively small size. We can't really say the same for the Tiguan, which feels generally more sluggish and uninteresting than the Alltrack. And we mention Volkswagen's compact crossover because it starts at nearly the same price as the Alltrack. Some of the difference in giddy-up can be explained by weight. Normal crossovers can be fairly portly, while these lifted wagons are notably lighter.
