2013 Vw Passat Se Tdi Diesel Loaded Navigation Media Leather Sunroof on 2040-cars
Sherwood, Arkansas, United States
Hello! Up for sale is
my 2013 VW Passat SE TDI. I am the
original owner and purchased it in January of 2013 as my primary driver. I selected the Passat TDI based upon previous
experience with a Jetta TDI I owned. The
build quality and fuel efficiency of the TDI models is legendary. In this Passat, I have seen Hwy mileage as
high as 46mpg and a minimum of 35mpg it heavy stop and go city driving. I average about 700 miles per tank. Even with the higher price of diesel over
gasoline, you will see a lower cost per mile than the Accord, Maxima, Camry, or
any other car in its class. The 2 liter
Engine provides 140hp and 236 lbs-ft of torque, which results in a surprisingly
quick ride. You will have no trouble
passing traffic when needed. The added
option of the 18” wheels and the 6 speed DSG transmission make for a sporty,
well handling package. I drove the Blue
Ridge Parkway in last fall and was very surprised by the Passat’s ability to
carve the curves. It offers a driving
experience that none of its competitors can match. It currently has 25,111 miles on it and has only ever been
serviced by the dealer I purchased it from, Owens Murphy VW in Little
Rock. The next service, due at 30,000
miles, is included with the car. It has
been garage kept, and regularly detailed.
There are no major defects, only the two scratches that are shown in the
pictures. The one on the passenger door
happened when my mountain bike fell over in the garage, and the one under the
left headlight occurred when a piece of wood fell off the back of an 18 wheeler
and bounced off the roadway. The car has
never been involved in an accident in any capacity and is in excellent
condition aside from the aforementioned blemishes. It was last detailed a few months ago and has
been in the garage since then, as I have been driving another vehicle. I drive it at least once a week to keep the
battery charged and ready to go. I have
decided to sell it for two reasons. I am
working on getting back down to one vehicle before my next job move, and I got
a Siberian Husky and refuse to let her ride in it for fear of damaging the
interior. The car just does not suit my
life anymore. The windows were tinted by Premier Tints with their top
level Ceramic tint. It has 15% on the
rear window, 25% on the side windows, and 50% on the front window. I always have my cars tinted all the way
around as it makes the biggest difference for driver comfort and heat
control. This tint job was a $390
addition to the car and is worth the money. The factory
options over the standard SE trim level includes:
Thank you for your time. |

Volkswagen Group's Vision 2030 strategy could bring revolution to the brands
Sat, May 11 2019One would expect a corporate plan called "Vision 2030," looking 11 years ahead through wildly tumultuous times, to involve great change and numerous forks in numerous roads. According to Automobile's breakdown of Volkswagen's path forward, though, the plans contain some lurid potential surprises. The ultimate aim is return on investment, and that means ruthless reorganization of a conglomerate with eight primary car brands, two car sub-brands, and Ducati motorcycles. The first two Vision 2030 cornerstones Automobile mentions are near boilerplate: Production network restructuring, and "streamlining of key technologies." The latter two are the ones that could upend what we know as the Volkswagen Group: focusing on the Group's core brands — meaning Audi, Porsche, and VW — and transitioning to EVs, autonomy, and other mobility solutions. Based on the report, a quote from Audi's CTO referring to the Audi brand could cover how the Group plans to handle all of its brands: "We need to find a sustainable solution for the indefinite transition period until EVs eventually take over." The boutique divisions adjacent to carmaking, Ducati and Italdesign, look likely to be spun off. For the halo car brands — Bentley, Bugatti, and Lamborghini — apparently shareholders want double-digit returns on investment, and the trio doesn't have long to hit the target. One eyebrow raiser is when the report states, "Bugatti is tipped to be gifted to [ex-VW Group Chairman] Ferdinand Piech." Piech fathered the Veyron during his tenure at VW, and it was thought he commissioned the La Voiture Noire, but he's lately stepped so far back from VW that he sold all his shares in the Group. Automobile quoted a senior strategist as saying of money-losing Bentley, "Why invest on a backward-looking enterprise when you can support a trendsetter? A proud history and excellent craftmanship alone don't cut it anymore." We guess no one at Ferrari, McLaren, or even Porsche got that memo. Bentley is reportedly close to being put in time out, and if brand CEO Adrian Hallmark can't right the Crewe ship, the hush-hush Plan B is to prop the Flying B up enough to lure a buyer. As for Lamborghini, caught between two masters at Audi and Porsche, even record-breaking numbers at the Italian supercar maker barely staved off sacrilege. It's said that VW brand CEO Herbert Diess considered putting a 5.0-liter Porsche V8 into the Aventador successor.
Interested, then not: Marchionne not 'chasing' a VW merger
Tue, Mar 14 2017Update (March 15, 2017) : Automotive News reports that FCA CEO Sergio Marchionne, regarding the suggested VW and FCA merger, said in a press conference "I have no interest." He also said that he "will not call Matthias," the CEO of VW. He did add that he would be willing to entertain anything VW brings up, but he has "no intention of chasing him." Despite this, Marchionne still took a moment to reinforce his favorable stance concerning mergers and consolidation. Last week, Volkswagen's CEO Matthias Mueller effectively shut down Fiat Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne's idea of the two automakers merging. However, it seems Mueller has softened, if only just, to the idea. According to Reuters, the CEO said in a press conference he is "not ruling out a conversation." However, he did say that he would like Marchionne to discuss with him directly the possibility rather than to the media. Though this statement certainly doesn't mean such a merger is happening, it's far more open than when he said outright the company isn't in any talks with anyone at the moment. His new stance also indicates that there may be people (lawyers, accountants, etc.) behind the scenes working out possible ways a merger could work. And even though this new development makes the prospect of a merger between the two companies a bit less bleak, it's still a long way from the "will they, won't they" relationship between GM and FCA. FCA's pursuit of GM involved emailing CEO Mary Barra and the threats of a hostile takeover, the latter of which resulted in some awkward statements about hugs. Only time will tell if VW becomes open enough for Marchionne to talk about hugs again. Related Video:
Recharge Wrap-up: VW CEO mulls battery factory, voters approve $201B in transportation funding
Mon, Nov 21 2016Volkswagen Group CEO Matthias Muller says that it would "make sense" for the automaker to begin producing its own batteries. As the company moves toward electrification, Muller says it would be a smart move to build a battery factory. "If more than a quarter of our cars are to be electronic vehicles in the foreseeable future then we are going to need approximately 3 million batteries a year," he says. Volkswagen has agreed to cut 30,000 jobs in its restructuring, while committing to creating 9,000 jobs in Germany through battery manufacturing and mobility services. Earlier this month, voters in 22 states approved ballot measures adding up to $201 billion in funding for transportation projects, according to the American Road & Transportation Builders Association. California passed 15 transportation measures, including one in Los Angeles worth $120 billion for roads, bridges, and transit. The state of Washington secured $54 billion for light rail and buses. Atlanta approved about $4 billion for road and transit projects. Illinois and New Jersey passed measures to prevent the diversion of transportation user fee revenue to other industries. A Delaware federal judge ordered the DOE to give the documents – which concern a presentation by Fisker to the DOE in which it falsely claimed to meet milestones set forth in a government loan – to lawyers in a case in which investors claim Fisker lied to them about financial troubles. While the DOE has given over documents already, they were incomplete and heavily redacted. "I understand that such disclosures may have a negative impact on future DOE analyses," says US District Judge Sue Robinson. "but conclude nonetheless that under the circumstances at bar – the public money at stake, the Congressional hearings, and the fact that Fisker Automotive is now a defunct company – the balance of interests favors plaintiffs."
