The title then arrives 10 days after the inspection date which will send to you. The vehicle would then need to be picked up in Huntsville, AL which is where it would be inspected. This "rebuilt" title is taggable on the spot and treated like a normal title. Some states will make the rebuilt title be re-inspected to verify VIN.

Tanner Foust drifts in with new VW Passat [w/video]

Tanner Foust, like many drifting and rallycross names, may have had a long track record with Ford, campaigning Blue Oval drifters in Formula D, the X Games and the Global RallyCross Championship. He won a few medals with Nissan too. But these days he's all about the Volkswagens. He drives a Beetle in the aforementioned GRC, but is now set to return to Formula Drift with the Passat you see here. The Top Gear USA co-host's new ride is ostensibly based on the German sedan we all know, but instead of a 1.8 turbo, a V6, a TDI or even a W8, this one packs a 7.4-liter V8. That mammoth mill sends about 700 horsepower to the rear wheels through a four-speed transmission, but will churn out a good 900 hp on nitrous. In short, it should be better suited towards drifting than the Passat 4Motion this writer tried to slide so many times in his youth. World's Most Efficient Car Impresses, Not Without Compromises
Among our many duties at the recent Geneva Motor Show, we were offered a pretty exclusive drive in the new Volkswagen XL1 hyper-efficient plug-in diesel hybrid. There is so much that is interesting about a car like this reaching production from a major automaker that it's tough to know where to begin.
First off, you should know that - at least for this generation - there is absolutely no chance in Albuquerque that this "1-liter vehicle" (i.e. a vehicle that can burn just one liter of fuel to travel 100 kilometers, or 62.1 miles) will ever make it into the hands of North American customers. We, too, were having trouble imagining an XL1 in typical American traffic, surrounded by comparatively massive pickups and SUVs. The driving experience had us recalling a couple of weeks in 1999 when we drove the then-revolutionary Honda Insight hybrid on US roads. We keenly remember the feeling of being very small and vulnerable, even as we felt proudly green in our 61-mpg Tochigi pod. Thing is, the Volkswagen is smaller still, and nearly as light despite its more complex drivetrain and safety features.
