2004 Passat TDI
Car starts right up and drives, but id drives sluggish. Codes that are coming up are PO299 and PO741. Transmission shifts, but code shows that needs torque converter. Engine runs smooth. PO299 means it have vacuum leak or needs boost sensor. Interior is clean, free of smell or hair. Driver seat has hole, please see pictures. Rear right window doesn't work. Rear tires are good, front ones will have to be replaced soon. Please note. if you are looking for new car this one is not for you. UAW angered over VW workers getting right to defend anti-union vote
Thu, 13 Mar 2014The United Auto Workers have called a decision by the National Labor Relations Board allowing anti-UAW employees at the Volkswagen factory in Chattanooga the right to defend voting down unionization at the plant "an outrage."
You'll recall that the union was defeated by a vote of 712 to 626 in a contentious February election. The UAW claims the outcome was unfairly swayed by pro-business, anti-union forces, including Senator Bob Corker and political advocate Grover Norquist.
This new decision by the NLRB essentially gives workers backed by the anti-UAW National Right to Work Legal Defense Foundation and Southern Momentum a formal voice in the impending hearing on the UAW's appeal of the vote.

Andretti Autosport partners with Volkswagen for Global Rallycross season
Tue, 14 Jan 2014Michael Andretti and Volkswagen have both been involved in Global Rallycross for a couple of years, but not together. Andretti Motorsports Marketing organized the final round of the 2012 GRC series in Las Vegas, and there were rumors then that Andretti was going to get in. Around the same time there were news reports that Volkswagen was preparing a 600-hp Polo Mk5 to race in the SuperCar class; the photo above is racer Anton Marklund in his privateer Marklund Motorsports Polo at the 2013 X-Games round in Los Angeles.
Now it's official: Andretti Autosport will campaign the 2014 GRC season with VWs. That's all that's been said for now, Andretti being busy at the moment launching four entries for IndyCar, two for Indy Lights and two for Pro Mazda. We have a feeling we'll be seeing the MkVII Golf involved, but the cars and the driver lineup will be presented at the Chicago Auto Show on February 6.
