Hello, I am selling my 2011 jetta tdi. I have 100% positive feedback and plan to keep it that way. All payment must me in cash in person. 500 dollar deposit at end of auction. Car in located in Athens, TN. The vehicle was paid in full at the dealership at the end of 2011. I tried to take as many pictures as possible. This is a 5 day auction and I wont be in town the 17th at 1pm till the 19th at 5pm also I leave for the beach on the 25th ... So we have the 15th or 16th for you to pick it up... or from the evening of the 19th until the 25th to settle up and you come get the car. buyer come pick up the car with the cash. If you dont have any feedback on ebay please call me 423-333-8155 before you bid. If you have to get a loan make sure its all set up and you have the cash before you bid. I have a clean title ready to sign over for the winning bidder. The car has already gotten a full 30,000 mile service. I went ahead and got it serviced before being sold. I have taken a picture of the KBB value of the car. Its in great condition and even at good condition its worth $18,000 or more. I paid $26,000 not including tax or fees. This is a great car that will run for forever. The diesel engines can run for hundreds of thousands of miles. This car gets 35 mpg in the city and over 40 mpg on the highway ... on ,long trips to Alabama I was getting 46 mpg. Even with this gas mileage its not a prius because its still has the turbo engine with plenty of power. Iv tried to take as many pictures as I could there are some hairlike scratches normal wear. My girlfriend backed her car up in the driveway and hit my front bumper. I called the insurance company and instead of getting the scratches fixed I just had the whole bumper replced and repainted to factory color here in town at A&J Body Shop so it looked like it did when I bought it brand new. so the clarify... My girlfriend backing out of the driveway nicked the front bumper and I had the whole bumper replaced abck to brand new specifications through my insurance. There is a small crack in the black plastic from hitting a rabbit last year and I took a picture of it. it is not noticeable. and a scratch on the front grill that I took a picture of. A couple more hairlike scratches behind the driver side door handle from my key while opening the door . you cant see them though Im just trying to be as accurate as possible. I havnt has time to clean the interior before I took the pictures so its a little dirty but still very nice. It has a touch screen display, leather, cruise, sunroof, power locks,bluetooth,6 disk cd,ipod hookup, doesnt have power seats. The trunk is huge. Its a spacious car. NON SMOKER. By the time its sold it will probably have 29,000 miles its my daily driver. Still a brand new car. It hasnt even been broken in yet. once again I just got it serviced at Village VW Chattanooga,TN for its 30,000 mile service. You will never have a problem with this car. I am only selling it because my needs have changed and am just gonna get a small ranger for carrying my dogs and working. Im going to set a reserve below KBB value. I will not tell what it is going to be but the bidding should go past it anyway. Interior is great so is exterior. Once again I have 100% positive feedback and have sold many many things on ebay including cars and motorcycles. Cash only and 500$ paypal deposit due at end of auction. Please contact me if you are the high bidder at the end of auction 423-333-8155.Thanks for your interest. This is a great car. SAve thousands by getting a car with 29,000 miles. The value of this car does not depretiate fast and once the price of diesel goes down this car will be a gold mine. Thanks again and message me with any questions.

VW may move production because of Russia's cutoff of natural gas
Sun, Sep 25 2022Volkswagen AG is exploring ways to counter a shortage in natural gas, including shifting production around its network of global facilities, signaling how the energy crisis unleashed by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine threatens to upend EuropeÂ’s industrial landscape. Volkswagen, EuropeÂ’s biggest carmaker, said Thursday that reallocating some of its production was one of the options available in the medium term if gas shortages last much beyond this winter. The company has major factories in Germany, the Czech Republic and Slovakia, which are among European countries most reliant on Russian gas, as well as facilities in southern Europe that source energy from elsewhere. “As mid-term alternatives, we are focusing on greater localization, relocation of manufacturing capacity, or technical alternatives, similar to what is already common practice in the context of challenges related to semiconductor shortages and other recent supply chain disruptions,” Geng Wu, VolkswagenÂ’s head of purchasing, said in a statement. RussiaÂ’s decision to throttle gas supplies to Europe has raised concerns that Germany might be forced to ration its fuel. Recent news that gas storage levels hit 90% ahead of schedule has soothed fears of acute shortages this winter, but Germany faces a challenge in replenishing depleted reserves next summer without contributions from Russia. Southwestern Europe or coastal zones of northern Europe, both of which have better access to seaborne liquefied natural gas cargoes, could be the beneficiaries of any production shift, a Volkswagen spokesman said by phone. The Volkswagen group already operates car factories in Portugal, Spain and Belgium, countries that host LNG terminals. Labor hurdles To be sure, any major production shift away from EuropeÂ’s biggest economy would face significant hurdles. VW has some 295,000 employees in Germany and worker representatives account for around half the companyÂ’s 20-member supervisory board. Any shift in production would likely involve a limited number of vehicles rather than wholesale factory shutdowns. While gas supplies for VWÂ’s plants are currently secured, the company has identified potential savings at its European sites to cut gas consumption by a “mid-double-digit percentage,” said Michael Heinemann, managing director of VWÂ’s power-plant unit. Still, the carmaker said it was concerned about the effect high gas prices could have on its suppliers.
VW readying CC Shooting Brake?
Mon, 11 Feb 2013This was bound to happen. Volkswagen's relentless drive for big volume has the brand mining seemingly every niche it can find for additional sales worldwide. And with its CLS Shooting Brake, fellow countryman Mercedes-Benz has already shown that a wagon based off of a "four-door coupe" can look dead sexy and command extra dollars. So it follows that the Volkswagen CC (whose existence is all but directly attributable to the success of the original CLS sedan) will also get a load-lugging variant. That's according to the UK's Autocar, which notes that the five-door will come in the CC's next generation.
According to the report, the next CC will be available in front and all-wheel drive variants with the usual assortment of gas and diesel four-cylinders found in the Wolfsburg empire, with the possibility of a gas plug-in hybrid model, too. The rakish estate will ride atop VW's MQB architecture, a shorter variant of which is also found underneath the new Golf. The scalable chassis is set to spread like kudzu throughout the company's lineup, but the CC probably won't happen until after the launch of the next European-market Passat in 2015.
Will we get it in North America? Hard to say. Volkswagen sells the standard CC saloon here, but not in particularly large numbers, and when the company moved to a North American-specific Passat, it dumped the wagon variant. The traditional VW estate apparently continues to pick up sales momentum abroad, however, making the CC Shooting Brake a seemingly natural fit for buyers who still want the utility of a two-box form but can afford to sacrifice a bit of cargo room in the name of style.
VW announces recall of 26,000 2014 models with 1.8T engines
Tue, 22 Apr 2014Volkswagen has followed up on a stop-sale order from earlier this month, announcing a voluntarily recall of 26,400 vehicles that are powered by the brand's 1.8-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder engine. The new mill replaced the despised 2.5-liter five-cylinder in the Jetta, Passat, Beetle and Beetle Convertible last year. Weirdly, though, of the 26,452 units covered in the recall, only 1,655 are customer vehicles.
According to VW, the affected models were built between February 1 and April 6 of this year, and feature bad O-ring seals in the transmission oil cooler. Apparently, the faulty O-rings could cause a fluid leak, as they won't seal between the oil cooler and transmission. VW is blaming a material change from a supplier for the problem.
There have been no fires, injuries, accidents or fatalities relating to this issue, which VW will be fixing free of charge. Customers will need to report to dealers to have the O-rings replaced.
