2006 VW Jetta TDI, 5-spd and Dealer Serviced!! NO RESERVE!!
NO RESERVE!! 2006 Jetta TDI, 5-spd!! ONE OWNER!! CLEAN CARFAX, Jetta!! 151,665 highway miles, but looks, runs and drives fantastic!! Dark Gray Exterior and Dark Gray Interior!! This 2006 VW Jetta TDI has 1.9 Liter, 4-cylinder turbo charged diesel engine. BRM engine code/pump duse. It also has a 5-speed transmission. This car was a diamond in the rough. I bought it from my neighbor, who was the original owner. It is a 1-OWNER VEHICLE, with a CLEAN CARFAX!! I was going to make this my daily driver, but I just got a great deal on a 2010 Golf TDI, so one has to go and it's the Jetta. This must go to a good home and someone who's a diesel guy like myself! It has been Fully Serviced! Timing belt and water pump were done at 80k. Good tires and brakes. Fresh oil change, pollen filter and tire rotation. This Vehicle also comes with TWO MASTER KEYS (worth about $200 at the dealers)!! This vehicle was garage kept its entire life and VERY well taken care of by its original owner. I was very lucky to find it. If you are reading this chances are you know about these TDI engines. They run for the better part of forever and return great fuel mileage along the way, while still being VERY Fun to drive! Only a few small issues, slight clutch chatter when releasing clutch, which is common on this vehicle & its mileage. Vehicle absolutely shifts fine & clutch feels Great!! Rear center air vents have a few pieces missing. R/R tire has a small bubble on it. L/R door has small scratch. Please see pictures for details. All small issues, nothing of consequence!! Runs & Drives GREAT!! :) If you want to arrange a presale inspection before pickup/purchasing vehicle. I can drop it at the local Volkswagon dealer in Flemington, New Jersey or any of the three local garages in Lambertville (you would have to pay for the inspection). I hate to see it go but, it doesn't make sense for me to have two TDI's at the same time. Any questions or if you'd like to see it, please call me as soon as possible and I can definitely help you with any questions or thoughts you might have about the vehicle. This will NOT last long! We have nothing to hide! BUY WITH CONFIDENCE!!! Call Rick at 908-894-0897. The TDI is a VERY Desirable Jetta to own, don't let this opportunity pass you by! :)
This Vehicle is for sale @ our local car lot & could be sold before auction ends at any point if someone offers the right money for it. WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CANCEL THIS AUCTION AT ANYTIME. THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS EVERYONE AND...HAPPY BIDDING!! :) :)

VW spending $10 million on EV infrastructure, calls on Congress for help
Tue, Feb 10 2015It must be the season of big EV infrastructure announcements. In the last few days, we've heard from Bollore in France, PG&E in California and now VW. The German automaker says it will spend a total of $10 million on electric vehicle charging infrastructure by 2016. That includes the previously announced ChargePoint investment VW made with BMW and work the automaker is doing to get chargers for cars like the e-Golf installed as its dealerships. But Jorg Sommer, Volkswagen of America'sl VP of product marketing and strategy, said today in Washington, DC that automakers need help from the federal, state and local governments to turn electric mobility into a thing. Speaking at the 2015 Electric Drive Congress, Sommer said VW would like the Feds to support fast charging networks in urban areas as well as interstate corridors and that governments should "commit to cleaner fleets by purchasing EVs and PHEVs. This should be a US Government priority," he said. He also suggested that the plug-in vehicle multiplier credits under the EPA's greenhouse gas regulations should be extended beyond the 2021 model year. VOLKSWAGEN OF AMERICA TO INVEST $10 MILLION IN ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING INFRASTRUCTURE BY 2016 Feb 10, 2015 Washington, D.C., February 10, 2015 – Jorg Sommer, vice president, product marketing and strategy, Volkswagen of America, today presented Volkswagen's holistic approach to e-mobility surrounding the launch of the zero-tailpipe emissions 2015 e-Golf, including a $10 million commitment to support electric vehicle infrastructure by 2016. During a presentation delivered at the 2015 Electric Drive Congress in Washington D.C., Sommer stated that Volkswagen believes continued legislative support is needed to reach the next level of electric vehicle adoption. "Automakers have effectively delivered electric vehicles that can satisfy the needs of most American drivers," said Sommer. "In addition to the investment we and other companies and industries are making, we would like to see Federal financing support for establishing fast charging networks in urban areas and interstate corridors. We'd like to see more state and federal organizations commit to cleaner fleets by purchasing EVs and PHEVs. This should be a U.S. Government priority, and federal purchasing guidelines should reflect that by giving fleet purchasers the flexibility they need," Sommer said.
The best cars we drove this year
Tue, Dec 30 2014Six hundred and fifty. That's roughly how many cars pass through the hands of Autoblog editors every year, from the vehicles we test here at home, to the cars we drive on new product launches, testing roundups, long-term cars, and so on. Of course, our individual numbers vary due to several reasons, but at the end of the day, our team's repertoire of automotive experience is indeed vast. But let's be honest, some cars certainly stand out more than others. So as the year's about to turn, and as we're readying brand-new daily cat calendars for our cubicles, our editors are all taking time to reflect on the machinery that made this year so special, with one simple, open-ended question as the guide – a question that we're asked quite frequently, from friends, family, colleagues, and more. "What's the best car you drove this year?" Lamborghini Huracan When I review the list of everything I drove in 2014, picking an absolute favorite becomes almost impossible. I mean, how does one delineate between the joy offered by cars as different as the Alfa Romeo 4C, Volkswagen Golf R, Mercedes-AMG GT S and even the humble-yet-wonderful Chevy Colorado? Okay fine, I'll just pick the Lamborghini. I drove the Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4 on a racetrack, in the mountains, and along southern coast of Spain. It felt like the king of the car jungle in all of those places, sucking the eyeballs of observers nearly out of their heads as it drove by, and almost melting my brain with its cocktail of speed and grip and intense communication. It feels a little easy to say that the one new supercar I drove this year was also my favorite, but the fact is that the Huracan is one of the finest cars I've driven during my career, let alone 2014. Judge me if you must. – Seyth Miersma Senior Editor Rolls-Royce Wraith There are a couple of ways to look at the question, "What's the best car you drove this year?" In terms of what was so good I'd go out and buy one tomorrow, that'd be my all-time sweetheart, the Volkswagen GTI. Or if I'm just talking about sheer cool-factor, maybe something like the Galpin GTR1, BMW i8, or Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG. But instead, I'm going to write about the sheer opulence of being the best of the best. The hand-crafted, holier-than-thou, shut-your-mouth-when-I'm-talking-to-you supremacy. I'm picking the Rolls-Royce Wraith. I drove the Wraith for a week in April, and was really, really impressed. This car does everything, perfectly.
Volkswagen Golf Variant will make a lovely Jetta SportWagen
Tue, 05 Mar 2013In addition to several other versions of the Golf, Volkswagen is debuting the new Golf Variant (read: wagon) here at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. And if this bigger version of the Golf looks like it might fit right at home in the States, it's because we could possibly see some version of this car as the next-generation Jetta SportWagen here on our shores.
Volkswagen is debuting the Golf Variant with two efficient diesel engines, rated at 110 and 150 horsepower, the smaller of which is good for an impressive 71.3 miles per gallon on the European cycle (when mated to a six-speed manual transmission). The Golf Variant also gets a version of Volkswagen's 4Motion all-wheel-drive system, making it incredibly all-weather capable.
It's a handsome estate, and it wears the new Golf's design language well. We can't say for sure if this car will actually make its way Stateside, but given the fact that the current Jetta SportWagen still rides on the old Golf platform, the odds look to be in our favor.
