For sale is a 2002 vw jetta gls 1.8t with 107,000 miles. Vehicle is dark blue with tan leather interior. 1.8 liter turbo and auto trans. loaded with options, power everything, power sunroof, alarm, premium sound system, and much more. Well maintained jetta. Interior is very nice and only noticeable wear is on drivers seat. Body is in good condition with the exception of a small dent behind passenger rear door, small ding on front of hood and normal wear to paint with small scratches here and there. Engine runs and drives flawless with great response and plenty of power. Transmission shifts good through the gears but has a delayed shift or false nuetral going from 2nd to 3rd on medium to hard acceleration. Timing belt, tensioner and waterpump have been replaced about 6 months ago. Plastic timing belt cover was misplaced when work was done and is currently missing. Vehicle has no codes or check engine light issues, runs and drives fine but transmission apparently needs serviced. Reason for selling is I just purchased a brand new vehicle and no longer need this one. Its been a great little car but its time to sell it. Carlex Criollo is a Volkswagen Multivan shrine to Alcantara, leather and... fish
Wed, 10 Jul 2013A keen angler recently went to Polish tuner Carlex Design (the same folks who did that steampunk Mini Countryman a while back) for a revamp of his Volkswagen Multivan. What resulted is perhaps the most striking - yet fishing-unfriendly - interior we've ever seen in a van. Below the shoulder line, if a surface isn't covered in cross-stitched Alcantara, then it's covered in cross-stitched leather. Even the steering wheel airbag boss. And the seat supports. And the cupholders.
The brown hue of the Multivan's interior is called Criollo, named for an especially fine specimen of cocoa. The finishing touch on the overhaul is a fileting knife that Carlex made for the owner. We imagine he'll use the knife for the marine life, but keep his van far away from it.
German judge 'inclined to dismiss' hedge fund lawsuit against Porsche
Fri, Feb 27 2015Last year, around two dozen investors, including hedge funds, leveled a 1.4 billion euro ($1.95 billion at the time) lawsuit against Porsche in connection with the automaker's attempted takeover of Volkswagen in 2008. The Stuttgart Regional Court dismissed the case. Around 19 of those plaintiffs are heading back to court to appeal the ruling and still hope to get 1.2 billion euros ($1.4 billion). However, according to one German judge, the chances for success aren't any better this time around. "On balance it's our view that we consider the lawsuit, or the appeal, to be unpromising for several reasons," Gerhard Ruf, a judge in Stuttgart, said to Reuters. "We are inclined to dismiss the case." The court's ruling on the appeal will be announced on March 26. The investors' case hinges on Porsche's strategy surrounding the botched takeover. The sports car maker said that it wasn't trying to control VW, when in fact it was. These hedge funds had bet against Volkswagen stock, but the share price surged when Porsche's plan inevitably came to light. Investors have sued the sports car company multiple times since then in attempts to recoup billions of dollars. However, none of the lawsuits have been successful, whether attempted in the US or Germany. Former Porsche CEO Wendelin Wiedeking and and CFO Holger Haerter might still stand trial for the alleged stock manipulation, though.
