This is a good, used, Low Mileage Jetta GLS vr6. 5 speed manual transmission. Selling this car for a friend who needs an automatic, otherwise, he loves the car and drives it daily.

Well maintained, regular oil changes, Coolant manifold & thermostat and housing have been Recently replaced. Has a new alternator as of last year. Good tires. Good brakes (new front pads/rotors last year) and a Tune up at the same milage (maybe 75k). Drives straight, no shakes, no noises. All around good vehicle.

Interior is light tan. Manual cloth seats. No tears, rips, burns, etc. well maintained by someone who cares and takes pride in their car.

Has GREAT power from the SOHC v6. And, with the manual transmission, it's a blast to drive. Handles Great. Everything power works great.

As far as the 'accident reported', this car was backed up into by someone in a parking lot. the front bumper and left fender were repainted. front bumper replaced. not major damage, that's all.

Only drawback is the SLIGHT damage to the right side of the car. One of the pictures displays it pretty clearly. It's purely cosmetic. the front hubcap looks crummy as a result, and there's a scuff on the upper section of the wheel well. :(. Regardless, it still drives fine, and for a hardcore VW fan, it would be something worth fixing to make the car perfect. Otherwise, there's some very minor scuffs in the clear. Nothing down to paint or serious. pictures pretty much speak for themselves.

Any questions email me. It's a very solid car, and like i've mentioned, it's driven daily. If you wish to get my number or the owner's number via email, it can be provided.

Translogic 168: CES 2015 Roundup

Wed, Jan 14 2015

Translogic and the yearly CES glorious gadget geekout go together like digital peanut butter and high-def jelly. At this year's show, surrounded by an egg-shaped Mercedes-Benz concept and the re-introduction of, of all things, the Sony Walkman, we had some fun. Between talking with Volkswagen about its new gesture-control tech and flying some video drones, we squeezed in some time to shred on ZBoard's new electric skateboard. The future is now. Watch the VW E-Golf get made

Fri, Jun 13 2014

If you've ever been on a tour of an automotive factory, you know how mesmerizing it can be to see humans and robots work together to build our four-wheeled friends. The swift automation, the cleanliness, the trained hands deftly fitting pieces together and watchful eyes inspecting every piece of the car, it's all quite impressive, especially if the vehicle is one you, as an observer, are fond of. Even just seeing a fresh, gleaming badge being applied to immaculately painted sheet metal is enough to curl ones toes. Such is the case with this video from of the E-Golf being pieced together in the Volkswagen's Wolfsburg plant. There's no narration or music - just the sounds of production - so it's easy to follow the singular motions that go into the process without distraction, with a slight sense of actually being on the floor. This solo video is only seven minutes long, so it's not quite the epic that was the BMW i3 production series. Therefore, we miss a lot of the initial build, such as pressing the sheet metal, painting, and putting together a lot of the inner workings. What is refreshing to see is how much of the final touches of the electric Golf are done by hand using actual hand tools (and with typical German efficiency). There's even a person riding a bicycle through the factory at one point, which is common at Wolfsburg and also rather quaint. Enjoy the video below, and if you have a suggestion for a good soundtrack to go along with it, sound off in the comments. This content is hosted by a third party. J.D. Power customer survey of dealers counts Cadillac, Buick as big winners

Mon, 14 Apr 2014

Cadillac and Buick have taken the trophies in J.D. Power's latest Customer Service Index Study examining satisfaction with dealer service. Surveying more than 90,000 owners and lessees of 2009-2013 model-year cars, the study found that those with pre-paid maintenance packages were ten percent more likely to buy their next car from the same brand.
Dealer satisfaction scores have improved overall, Cadillac nabbed the luxury segment ahead of Audi and Lexus, taking the crown that Lexus held last year. Buick keeps the mass-market dealer satisfaction win in the family, finishing ahead of Volkswagen and last year's winner GMC. The study also found that service department use of tablets increased customer satisfaction, as did "best practices" like "providing helpful advice." Who knew?
You can find details on those and more findings in the press release below.
