You are looking at a 1992 Volkswagen Jetta Wolfsburg Edition 4 Door Sedan With an ECO Turbo Charged Diesel Engine and 5 speed Manual Transmission, Average fuel milegage 35 around Town and 45 to 50 mpg hwy driven at legal speed limits. this car has 262000 miles and has only one tiny rust spot near the drivers wiper arm and windshield (See Photo) No other rust on car. The engine was overhauled aprox 70000 miles ago and runs like new still it has no record of oil consumption if serviced at proper service intervals, in recent months both C-V shafts were replaced ,2 new outer tie rod ends,upper strut mounts and 4 wheel alignment by Volkswagen dealer. Exhaust system is aprox 2 yrs old in like new condition still . Tires are over 70% tread remaining (see Photo) Interior is excellent condition (see photos) Radio has been replaced with a Blapunkt Cd player with Am,Fm radio.Exterior of car is well kept and paint is very good considering age of car. ( See all photos ) The A/C works fine and has been converted to R-134.The Alternator was replaced with a NEW not Rebuilt 1 yr ago The Starter was also replaced The Battery is new. Brakes are good and in good condition All drive belts were replaced recently. Thermostat and coolant were replaced at beginning of winter 2012. 1 year ago I replaced the Vacuum pump with a NEW one , The injection pump was overhauled at the same time at a cost of over $ 800.00

This car is equipped with plastic fender flares from factory, A Racoon decided to test the left front flare and destroyed it but the fender is not dented at all, The Racoon went to the great Racoon heaven in the sky
The engine coolant temperature gauge does not work but the warning light does work, all remaining gauges work Please feel free to ask questions if you have any will respond within 24 hrs
The Radio antenna was broken by vandels can be easily replaced

Volkswagen Golf R Evo may debut at Beijing Motor Show
Thu, 23 Jan 2014If a report in Auto Express is correct, a lighter, faster brother to the Volkswagen Golf R will be shown to the world at the Beijing Motor Show in April. Said to be called the Golf R Evo, the even harder hot hatch would be unveiled as one of those concepts that's practically a de facto presentation of the genuine thing. The Evo in its name will come from having a carbon fiber roof and CF in the bodywork, lighter wheels, thinner bucket seats up front and a roll cage instead of rear seats.
If there's a power increase, it's been described as "a small bump." However, as the report mentions, if the Jenny Craig regimen can drop 100 kilograms (220 pounds) from the the 3,247-pound weight of the European Golf R, then the Golf R Evo will do about the same damage on the scales as the Golf but have at least 50 more horsepower and 44 more pound-feet of torque.
Since we still don't have the current Golf, this isn't something that should keep you awake even if the 'concept' does become a production model. But it is good to know that the Golf R is really going to start pushing its boundaries.
VW using other manufacturing locations as leverage in battle with TN [w/video]
Sat, 26 Apr 2014We've reached a new step in the ongoing drama at Volkswagen's factory in Chattanooga, TN. The United Auto Workers recently dropped its opposition to the union vote and agreed that it wouldn't hold another ballot for at least a year. Now, the new question becomes where VW is going to build its forthcoming midsize SUV.
Earlier, it had been considered all but certain that the SUV, likely a production version of the CrossBlue concept (pictured above), would be built in Tennessee. However, it seems the Chattanooga factory might have competition to produce it. In emails obtained by The Detroit News, VW's lawyer wrote to the Tennessee economic development department in January saying, "While we understand there are some 'non-deal' issues that are causing a delay in the TN solution, VW has been successful in reaching agreement on terms at the alternative locations."
As previously reported, the state of Tennessee allegedly offered VW about $300 million in incentives to build the vehicle there and create an estimated 1,350 jobs, but it later rescinded the deal. Newly leaked documents from NewsChannel 5 (WTVF-TV) in Nashville allegedly show just how close that offer was to being completed. It appears that VW actually sent the government the first draft of a memorandum of understanding agreeing to the incentives, but the state removed the offer in late January.
Audi CEO says brand's EVs are almost as profitable as its other cars
Mon, Oct 4 2021After, oh, a hundred years or so of building vehicles primarily powered by internal combustion engines, automakers around the world have been and still are pumping billions of dollars into the development of electric vehicle technology. Everything from platforms and batteries to motors and the software to control it all requires untold hours of development, and that takes time and money. Fortunately, it's not going to take long for that massive investment to start paying off, at least according to Audi CEO Markus Duesmann, who told Reuters in an interview that "The point where we earn as much money with electric cars as with combustion engine cars is now, or ... next year, 2023. They are very even now, the prices." As a brand, Audi contributed more than a quarter of overall profit for the massive Volkswagen Group, which has such powerhouse brands as Volkswagen and Porsche among others. Under the Audi umbrella are Lamborghini, Bentley and Ducati, and it seems those high-end branches aren't going anywhere, at least for now. "These brands ... are very valuable very profitable brands, where we can even expand the synergy level in the future," Duesmann said in the interview. "There are no plans whatsoever to get rid of them." Despite the overall profitability of the brand, the ongoing global chip crisis is causing headaches. "We had a very strong first half in 2021. We do expect a much weaker second half," said Duesmann, who added, "We really have trouble." In fact, so serious is the trouble that the brand is forced into "a day-to-day troubleshooting process" to limit the chip-shortage damage. The good news for the automaker is that Audi has been able to boost its profit margin from 8% prior to the pandemic in 2019 to 10.7% in the first half of 2021. The bad news is that various chip shortages aren't expected to get a whole lot better over the rest of the year. Related video:
