Vw Golf Gti 2 Door Hatchback Manual 2.0 on 2040-cars
Jackson, New Jersey, United States
Selling my excellent condition Windsor Blue GTi. The car runs great. Fresh NJ inspection. Recent timing belt, clutch, tune up. The car features coil-over suspension, intake, cat back exhaust and lightened flywheel, sitting on aftermarket 16" wheels. The car comes with the stock wheels with nearly new snow tires. Paint and body in excellent condition with the exception of one small rust spot on the hatch (photo included). It is a fun car to drive with great fuel economy. The only issues the car has are very minor: The driver door sags and needs a new pin, the fog light lenses are cracked, and the passenger front seat does not flip forward for rear seat access.
Buyer is responsible for pick up or shipping of the vehicle. NON-REFUNDABLE $500 SECURITY DEPOSIT WITHIN 24 HOURS OF END OF AUCTION AND FINAL PAYMENT REQUIRED WITHIN 72 HOURS OF AUCTION END. I reserve the right to end auction early, as the vehicle is also for sale locally. Feel free to contact me for questions. Thanks for looking. |

Volkswagen Golf R 400 Concept still makes us swoon
Fri, Nov 21 2014We know, we know – this hot little guy isn't really new or anything. Volkswagen first rolled out the Golf R 400 concept in Beijing earlier this year, and since its debut, we've heard rumors that the German automaker might-perhaps-maybe-hopefully build the thing. Its showing here in Los Angeles simply marks the first time it's debuting in America, and honestly, we can't get enough. So here it is, again. Hello, Golf R 400 – we love you. And what's not to love? What starts as a normal Golf R gets better with a more aggressive appearance, big wheels, some tasteful neon yellow accents, and a whole mess of power. The original concept packed 395 horsepower from an overblown 2.0-liter turbo-four, though the most recent reports suggest a production version could produce over 400 hp. To keep it all in line, the concept has all-wheel drive. And inside, it's the same functional, comfortable Golf we've always loved. There's nothing left to say, really. We love this car, and you should, too. Check it out in the gallery above.
VW planning 20 new plug-in models for China
Thu, Oct 30 2014With just about everything getting super-sized for China, Volkswagen is following suit with its plug-in vehicle plans for the world's most populous country. VW, Europe's largest carmaker, is looking to sell more than 20 different plug-in models in China within the next four years, Reuters says, citing comments Volkswagen Group China head Jochem Heizmann made in Shanghai. The company is hoping that translates to sales of more than 100,000 plug-ins in China by the end of the decade. Go big or go home, right? There's a huge plug-in vehicle opportunity in China, especially given the bad pollution situation in cities like Beijing and Shanghai and the Chinese government's incentives for plug-in vehicle buyers. Volkswagen CEO Martin Winterkorn said at the Beijing Motor Show this spring that the company would spend $25 billion on at least a half-dozen plug-in models for China by 2018. VW will start selling the e-Golf in China this year and the Golf GTE plug-in hybrid in 2015. VW said in August that it would start selling the e-Golf in the US for about $35,500 in November. That's a $6,500 price hike from the base Nissan Leaf.
