Sad to sell my one of a kind VW GTI but I wont be driving it while away on military orders. I am the second owner, I bought it with 9,000 miles in spring, 2012. Apparently the original owner had several vehicles and kept this one in the garage for the majority of the time. It still has very low mileage (40,XXX) but is my daily driver for now and will go up some. It has a beautifully done white leather with red trim/embroidery that has no rips or stains, just some minor wear on driver's seat. The turbocharged engine runs strong, getting great gas mileage but still very quick on the road helped out by an APR stage 1 tune. I have matching white leather floormats and a set of black rubber mats in case you're like me and often have muddy feet. Also, a matching white leather privacy cover in the trunk. The seats were surprisingly not difficult to keep clean and are nice because it is a leather that wont burn your butt after sitting in the sun. The paint is glossy all around and there is no rust. Suspension is upgraded to Eibach springs that lower the car about an inch and ride much nicer in my opinion. There is an Evolution Motorsports intake. Brakes and tires have plenty of life. Clutch is good. Power locks, windows, and sunroof all work. All speakers sound good, 6-disk cd changer works perfectly. There is also a flip-down monitor behind the sunroof that can be linked to an aftermarket headunit to play DVD's if you desire. It could use a new temperature sensor (cost of parts and labor were estimated to be $151) and repair on 3/4inch crack in windshield. Never been in an accident or had airbags deploy but it was bumped while parked in front of my apartment resulting in a basketball-sized dent that I had professionally repaired by a recognized body shop in Pittsburgh. 2023 Chicago Auto Show Mega Photo Gallery: See all the new cars from the show

In traditional auto show fashion, that means you’re getting a mega gallery of galleries to flip through and see all the vehicles on the show floor. Our EditorsÂ’ Picks from the show are already out — spoiler alert, the 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander took home the prize. Consumer Reports no longer recommends Honda Civic
Mon, Oct 24 2016Consumer Reports annual Car Reliability Survey is out, and yes, there are some big surprises. First and foremost? The venerable publication no longer recommends the Honda Civic. In fact, aside from the walking-dead CR-Z and limited-release Clarity fuel-cell car, the Civic is the only Honda to miss out on CR's prestigious nod. At the opposite end there's a surprise as well – Toyota and Lexus remain the most reliable brands on the market, but Buick cracked the top three. That's up from seventh last year, and the first time for an American brand to stand on the Consumer Reports podium. Mazda's entire lineup earned Recommended checks as well. Consumer Reports dinged the Civic for its "infuriating" touch-screen radio, lack of driver lumbar adjustability, the limited selection of cars on dealer lots fitted with Honda's popular Sensing system, and the company's decision to offer LaneWatch instead of a full-tilt blind-spot monitoring system. Its score? A lowly 58. The Civic isn't the only surprise drop from CR's Recommended ranks. The Audi A3, Ford F-150, Subaru WRX/STI, and Volkswagen Jetta, GTI, and Passat all lost the Consumer Reports' checkmark. On the flipside, a number of popular vehicles graduated to the Recommended ranks, including the BMW X5, Chevrolet Camaro, Corvette, and Cruze, Hyundai Santa Fe, Porsche Macan, and Tesla Model S. Perhaps the biggest surprise is the hilariously recall-prone Ford Escape getting a Recommended check – considering the popularity of Ford's small crossover, this is likely a coup for the brand, as it puts the Escape on a level playing field with the Recommended Toyota RAV4, Honda CR-V, and Nissan Rogue. While Ford is probably happy to see CR promote the Escape, the list wasn't as kind for every brand. For example, of the entire Fiat Chrysler Automobiles catalog, the ancient Chrysler 300 was the only car to score a check – there wasn't a single Dodge, Fiat, Jeep, Maserati, or Ram on the list. That hurts. FCA isn't alone at the low end, either. GMC, Jaguar Land Rover, Mini, and Mitsubishi don't have a vehicle on CR's list between them, while brands like Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, Nissan, Lincoln, Infiniti, and Cadillac only have a few models each. Honda wins Commercial of the Decade, but not for the ad you think [w/VIDEO]

The mad men at Adweek recently voted for the Commercial of the Decade (Super Bowl commercials not included) and Honda took top honors over memorable ads from the last ten years by companies like Nike, Budweiser and Sony. That's not a big surprise considering Honda often puts a huge amount of effort into its on-air spots. However, the Japanese automaker didn't win for the commercial you might have expected: "Cog." Though Honda's famous commercial that breaks down a European Accord Tourer into a Rube Goldberg-esque machine was also a finalist, it was beaten by another Honda commercial called "Grrr" that's narrated by Garrison Keillor of all people. You've probably never seen it, but you can after the jump.
Volkswagen also made the list of finalists, but the particular ad chosen out of all the comical VW ads we've seen was unexpected as well. Most surprising carmaker with a commercial in the finals: Saturn. Who knew...
