Selling a 1995 Eurovan Camper Winnebago pop top van. This one comes with the kitchen, sink, waste water, fresh water tanks, propane tanks, fridge, 2 batteries, shower, fold down bed, central heating and is a manual transmission.  The water pump for the sink and shower work perfectly.  The propane burners work good too, also in the video below,  the burners are shown and they are dirty, not rusted as it might seem.   The passenger seat swivels around so you can turn around and mingle with the passengers.   There are two collapsible tables for the inside that store next to the refrigerator.  The tires are in good condition with plenty of thread left.  It has new brakes in all 4 wheels.  It was recently taken to a mechanic, and he said that the clutch has some play and may need to be replaced in the future.  The actual tent is in good condition with no tears and the zippers work good. All the blinds and curtains on the windows are present and also work.  They have no tears as well.

The upper bed is missing a panel, that's the way I got it, however I saw a few of them for sale on some websites for $200.  If you win the auction, i'll steer you on where you can get it.  Also, It does not come with the foam bedding. These things are easily replaceable.

It has a salvage title from a collision. I got it from an auction and had it fixed up for my dad.  He was big into camping for about a month then lost interest in camping altogether.  We got this van with no intention of selling it, however it just happened that way.   Please verify that salvage titles are registarable in your state.  For example, in Texas it is allowed and actually very easy to register such title.   Right now it is registered under my name and I have the Texas title in hand.

Everything runs and works on it. 132,XXX original miles. It has a Texas rebuilt/salvage title, and is currently registered under my name. I use it every other weekend. The van is in El Paso Texas.

See YouTube video of the actual van taken on Feb 26 2013-->http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Y9JMSAFt0s&feature=youtu.be

As per shipping the vehicle, it is the buyers responsibility to arrange the shipping or pick up of the vehicle.  If you have any questions, please contact me first.  I might drive it your direction if you are in the southwest for $0.85/mile.

I will require a non-refundable $500 though Paypal 24 hours after the auction end and the remainder in a cashiers check personally or a direct deposit to my bank.  If you have any questions, contact me first.

I am selling this van in good faith.  I am comfortable letting my elderly dad cruise the USA in this thing, so rest assured it is a good van.  If you have any questions, feel free to contact me and i'll reply as soon as I get a chance.  Thank you and happy bidding!!!

Intel-Mobileye tech in 2M BMWs, VWs, Nissans will crowdsource maps for autonomy

Tue, Jan 9 2018

Intel Chief Executive Brian Krzanich said on Monday 2 million vehicles from BMW, Nissan and Volkswagen would use its unit Mobileye's technology to crowdsource data for building maps that enable autonomous driving. The world's largest chipmaker bought Israeli firm Mobileye last year to compete with peers such as Qualcomm and Nvidia Corp and tap the fast-growing market of driverless cars, filled with a complex tangle of alliances. (VW, for example, is also working with Nvidia.) Krzanich was the keynote speaker at the Consumer Electronics Show. He said data from Mobileye's Road Experience Management software would gather data to build and update scalable high-definition maps. He also announced that Intel would be working with Ferrari on AI drones to cover Ferrari Challenge North America Series racing. The drones would provide video of the races, but ultimately they would provide drivers with data — video that would let them see their racing performance from overhead, but also telemetry information about, say, how they enter and exit a turn. Intel will also tie up with SAIC Motor Corp, which will use Mobileye technology to develop Level 3, 4 and 5 autonomous cars in China, the chipmaker said. Krzanich also said Intel had not received any information of customer data being compromised so far after the company confirmed last week that security issues reported by researchers in its widely used microprocessors could allow hackers to steal sensitive information from computers, phones and other devices. Security researchers had disclosed two security flaws exposing vulnerability of nearly every modern computing device containing chips from Intel, Advanced Micro Devices and ARM Holdings. Why this could be the perfect time for Apple to make a car play

Fri, Aug 31 2018

While the automotive and technology worlds have been pouring billions into autonomous vehicles (AVs) and preparing to bring them to market soon as shared robo-taxis, Apple has mostly sat on the sidelines. Of course, Apple is the last company to ever make its intentions known, and the super-secret tech cult giant hasn't been totally out of the AV game based on the clues that have slipped out of its Cupertino, Calif., citadel over the past few years. Related: Apple self-driving cars are real — one was just in an accident News first broke in 2015 that it had assembled an automotive development team, in part by poaching high-profile talent from car companies, to work on a top-secret self-driving vehicle project code-named Titan. (Thank you very much, Nissan.) Apple also subsequently broke cover by making inquiries into using a Northern California AV testing facility and receiving a permit to test AVs on public roads in California. But then as the AV race started to heat up in the last few years, Apple reportedly began scaling back its car activities by downsizing team Titan. More recently, Apple's car project has shown signs of life with the hiring a high-level engineer away from Waymo and luring one Tesla's top engineers and a former employee back to Apple. It also inked a deal with Volkswagen to provide a technology platform and software to convert the automaker's new T6 Transporter vans into autonomous shuttles for employees at tech company's new campus. That is a far cry from giving rides to Wal-Mart shoppers, like Waymo is doing as part of its AV testing in Phoenix. But this could be the perfect time for Apple to enter the AV market now that ride-sharing is reaching critical mass and automakers and others are planning to deploy fleets of robo-taxis. Apple could easily establish a niche as a high-end ride-sharing service – and charge a premium – given its cult-like brand loyalty and design savvy. The growth of car subscription models could also play in Apple's favor since is already has many people hooked on paying for phones in monthly installments – and eager to upgrade when a new and better model becomes available. To achieve this, some believe Apple will fulfill co-founder and CEO Steve Job's dream of building a car. And as the world's first and only $1 trillion company it's sitting on a mountain of cash that certainly gives it the means. But other tech darlings like Tesla and Google have discovered how difficult it can be to build cars at scale.

Editors' Picks March 2022 | Acura RDX, VW GLI and a Rolls-Royce

Tue, Apr 5 2022

This month's Editors' Picks offer a little something at every budget. We call out a performance car as cheap as the Volkswagen GLI, but the Rolls-Royce Ghost also manages to make its way on to the list. Of course, very few folks can afford a Ghost, but that doesn't change the fact that it's an engineering master class. In addition to these options, we also dive into the compact luxury SUV market, one that is bursting with choices. In case you missed our previous Editors' Picks posts, here’s a quick refresher on whatÂ’s going on here. We rate all the new cars we drive with a 1-10 score. Cars that are exemplary in their respective segments get EditorsÂ’ Pick status. Those are the ones weÂ’d recommend to our friends, family and anybody whoÂ’s curious and asks the question. The list that youÂ’ll find below consists of every car we rated in March that earned an EditorsÂ’ Pick. 2022 Acura RDX Quick take: The RDX ticks a lot of boxes for a great price. It drives better than expected, offers excellent tech, has plenty of room and even looks the part. Score: 7.0 What it competes with: Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class, BMW X3, Volvo XC60, Audi Q5, Lexus NX, Infiniti QX50, Alfa Romeo Stelvio, Genesis GV70, Porsche Macan, Jaguar F-Pace, Lincoln Corsair Pros: Value, driving dynamics, space Cons: Infotainment is polarizing, midgrade interior From the editors Road Test Editor Zac Palmer — "The RDX is a bit of a sleeper in this segment. It drives far better than many of its competitors, and it doesn't let you down in any particular area. If you were thinking of buying an entry-level option from one of the Germans, make sure you take the RDX into account, because you'll likely end up with more tech and features for an even lower price. News Editor Joel Stocksdale — "The Acura RDX is an impressive value in the small luxury SUV segment. It starts in the low $40,000 price range, and provides loads of standard convenience and safety features. Everything is packaged in a sharp and surprisingly spacious package, too. It's also nimble and has a punchy engine that makes it fun to drive. You may find some competitors that surpass it in some areas, but the Acura offers about the most for the money of anything in the segment." In-depth analysis: 2022 Acura RDX Review | Value-packed and surprisingly sporty   2022 Volkswagen Jetta GLI Quick take: The GLI offers excellent driving dynamics and great styling for someone who doesn't want a hatchback. It's pricey, but it's worth it.
