I'm selling my beautiful 2009 black VW Eos.
This car is in great condition. I have had all the recommended services completed at the dealership, and I JUST had its 40K mile service done. All work can be verified by either Downtown LA VW or Santa Monica VW (where I purchased the car). The car has just under 40,000 miles so it's got plenty of life left. The car has never been smoked in and the interior is in pristine condition. The exterior looks great and virtually ding and scratch free. The car is still under warranty. I believe this CPO warranty can be transferred to the new owner as well, but I will confirm for any interested parties. This exact car is listed on ebay and other sites for waaay more even though this car has fewer miles. Don't waste your money at a dealership; this is a better deal. Komfort package, which includes: Automatic Transmission. 6-disc cd changer with Satellite Radio available. Dual heated seats (which has felt great the past 2-3 weeks). Dual Climate zone A/C and heat. VW planning 20 new plug-in models for China
Thu, Oct 30 2014With just about everything getting super-sized for China, Volkswagen is following suit with its plug-in vehicle plans for the world's most populous country. VW, Europe's largest carmaker, is looking to sell more than 20 different plug-in models in China within the next four years, Reuters says, citing comments Volkswagen Group China head Jochem Heizmann made in Shanghai. The company is hoping that translates to sales of more than 100,000 plug-ins in China by the end of the decade. Go big or go home, right? There's a huge plug-in vehicle opportunity in China, especially given the bad pollution situation in cities like Beijing and Shanghai and the Chinese government's incentives for plug-in vehicle buyers. Volkswagen CEO Martin Winterkorn said at the Beijing Motor Show this spring that the company would spend $25 billion on at least a half-dozen plug-in models for China by 2018. VW will start selling the e-Golf in China this year and the Golf GTE plug-in hybrid in 2015. VW said in August that it would start selling the e-Golf in the US for about $35,500 in November. That's a $6,500 price hike from the base Nissan Leaf.

That, of course, was MotorWeek, the television car program produced by Maryland Public Television and hosted by the inimitable John Davis. The program first aired back in 1981, and after more than three decades in the business, it's got a considerable archive of old episodes to unearth. In this latest gem recovered from the MotorWeek back catalog, the program pitted two European sports sedans against each other: a Volkswagen Jetta GLI and a Peugeot 505 Turbo. That's right: back in the 1980s, Peugeot was still competing in the US marketplace.
