I am downsizing and unfortunately do not have space to store the car.
I purchased the car 2 years ago from a classic car dealer in Virgina. I was told, the car was once owned by a local Virgina family and was supposed to be a present for the wife. She did not like the stick and they put it in a garage for their then 11 year old son to drive it when he will be old enough. He did not like the car and thus it was sold in 2012 to a VW Dealer in Virgina who sold it to the Classic Car Dealer. I am the second owner of the car. It is in mint condition. no cosmetic tricks, no shiny sprays used ever. The rims are original as the rest of the car. The trunk has no scratches or spots in the carpet. Carpet, Floor mats, radio, seats, everything is original. It has never been restored. The car has no corrosion at all. Everything in this car is original as it was delivered from VW in 1990. Everything works perfectly, Radio, AC. No oil consumption, Oil change was performed every 3K Miles. You can still see the wax/anti-corrosion treatment in the engine compartment. I did not pressure-wash the engine to show how unique this car is. This is a rare one-time opportunity. I hate to see the car go as I really loved it. I am asking for a $500 deposit via paypal. World Car Of The Year down to its final four

Judges for the World Car of the Year Award have narrowed down the finalists to just four vehicles. Out of a total of 42 entries, only the Mercedes-Benz A-Class, Porsche Boxster/Cayman, Scion FR-S/Subaru BRZ/Toyota GT-86 and Volkswagen Golf remain standing. For Volkswagen, this marks the second consecutive year the company has had an entry among the finalists, and the fourth time since 2009. In order to qualify, a vehicle must be on sale on two continents during the span of time between January 1, 2013 and May 30, 2013. A panel of 66 journalists from 23 countries then vote on the finalists.
Three vehicles have made the cut for the last round of voting on the 2013 World Performance Car as well, with the Cayman/Boxster and FR-S/BRZ/GT-86 running against the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta. Meanwhile, the Renault Zoe, Tesla Model S and Volvo V60 Plug-In Hybrid are duking it out for the World Green Car Award. Finally, the World Car Design of the Year Award is up for grabs between the Aston Martin Vanquish, Jaguar F-Type, and the Mazda6. Check out the full press release below. VW Golf R pre-order sells out in less than 11 hours
Fri, Jan 9 2015Volkswagen fans had to be pretty quick if they wanted to ensure their pre-order for one of the first 500 units of the 2015 Golf R to enter the US. The German brand opened the books online at at 12:01 AM EST, and according to company spokesperson Leigh Anne Sessions speaking to Autoblog, by around 10:30 AM EST all of them were snapped up. VW's pre-order page currently shows these vehicles as no longer available, and the company confirms the news on Twitter, as well. There's still a chance to get an early Golf R by signing up for the waiting list and hoping one of the 500 orders falls through. VW Customer Care will contact people if there's an opening. This entire allotment of the Golf R comes in Lapiz Blue Metallic paint with VW's adaptive damper system, navigation, a six-speed dual-clutch gearbox and more. To further sweeten the pot, the company is also giving these folks a watch, key chain and certificate with their vehicle's VIN. The 500 models were priced at $39,090, plus $820 destination and delivery, but only $500 was required to reserve one online. The amount was refundable if a person backed out.
