For sale is this awesome 2013 Volkswagen CC Sport. Our CC has the 4 cylinder, 2.0 liter TSI Turbo engine with a 6-speed manual transmission. She is loaded with extras like, Xenon LED curve headlights, Heated seats, 6-CD touchscreen Phone system that let's you pair your cell phone with the cars Bluetooth. Alloy wheels. The CC is not straight black as it might appears in the photo, the exterior color is Black Magic Pear. Our CC has only 7,900 miles and is practically like new. Like most of our new cars we purchased the CC from an insurance auction with damage to the front of the car. We are professional, DMV certified rebuilders and Volkswagens are my favorite. The CC did NOT have any frame damage at all. I have photos of the prior damage!! The drivers air bag and all 4 seat belts were deployed. We replaced all of those with OEM parts original from the local Volkswagen dealer. The damage was light to the left front above the bumper support. We replaced the hood, front bumper cover and both headlights, left fender, grill, radiator support. Radiator assembly was NOT damaged. These are all typical parts to break in the front and they are all bolt-on parts!!! The CC is completely restored to normal, there are NO WARNING LIGHTS ON!!! As with all our restored late-model cars, when the repairs were completed our CC was inspected by an authorized inspector of the DMV and a new title branded "repaired" was issued after the inspection. No aftermarket parts were used!!! The CC runs and drives perfectly and there are no flaws. There are no parts missing, we replace every screw and every clip, no matter how small, to fully restore every vehicle to previous condition!! All the books and manuals are still in the Glove compartment!! . We do accept certain trades ins but only Mercedes Benz, Mini Cooper, or Volkswagen 2011 and newer. We will supply temporary plates should you decide to fly in and drive the Mini home.

This CC has been completely restored and has passed a Virginia Salvage Inspection.

Volkswagen Golf voted 2013 European Car of the Year

The seventh-generation Volkswagen Golf just went on sale in Europe, but it is already off to a promising start. Announced as the Geneva Motor Show kicked off, the newest Golf was named European Car of the Year for 2013 in dominating style over cars like the Subaru BRZ/Toyota GT86 twins, Volvo V40, Ford B-Max and Mercedes-Benz A-Class.
According to Automotive News Europe, the MkVII Golf won handily over its rivals with a total of 414 votes. The Subaru BRZ and Toyota GT86 received 202 votes finishing in a distant second, while the Volvo V40 (189 votes), Ford B-Max (148 votes) and Mercedes-Benz A-Class (138 votes) round out the top five. The new Golf marks the third Volkswagen product to receive the prestigious award with previous cars including the MkIII Golf and the most recent iteration of the Polo.

The Golf VI's Last Hurrah Is Pure Niche
This was in the heart of the ultra-chic Côte d'Azur during winter. The car to be tested was the not-for-North America 2013 Volkswagen Golf R Cabriolet. Prevailing weather conditions here this time of year are bizarrely pleasant, as though a dome of Swarovski crystal has been placed over the entire region to protect it from any real winter spoiling things. And the zippy Golf R Cabriolet is a sports car designed precisely for this area's preciously narrow winding streets, as well as for the lofty budgets of its property owners.
So then why was it snowing like we were in northern Michigan? The weather front hit from the north like a swift kick to the Jordaches. The roof was open on this Candy White Golf R Cabrio and I, as is my wont, was determined through thick or thin to keep it retracted. It had been raining and sometimes sleeting like the End of Days, but I kept the lid cracked because the 261-horsepower cabrio - the most powerful convertible ever built by Volkswagen - was snipping along nicely as the bad weather blew over my head and wetted only the rear headrests.

Daimler is launching its "Smart Ready to Rent" service in Europe. Beginning this month in German and French cities, the rental scheme bridges the gap between short-term Car2go rentals and longer leases. Customers book the Smart model of their choice – including the emissions-free Electric Drive and the hotter Brabus versions Â– for a period of one day up to three months. As such, Smart Ready to Rent is useful to those who live outside of an urban center. Users can book a car online or through a dealer, and vehicles are collected and returned at the dealership. Read more at Green Car Congress. Volkswagen will launch its MOIA mobility arm in the US in 2018. The recently announced brand will take on public transportation as a competitor with services such as ride hailing and car sharing. VW is looking into forging partnerships with the likes of technology and ride sharing companies. The automaker also expects to show an electric shuttle-type concept in 2017 for pooling services, but will use the three-row VW Atlas crossover in the meantime until that concept reaches production. Look to see MOIA emerging in major cities along the US coasts. Read more at Automotive News. A new report from Lux Research suggests that most EV batteries are better off being recycled than reused. Once lithium-ion batteries have outlived their usefulness for automotive duty, some automakers (BMW, Nissan, and Toyota included) are looking at ways to use their remaining capacity, such as for stationary energy storage. The new report, though, says that reusing batteries offers "questionable returns on account of reduced performance." Better to be like Tesla, and just recycle them. Read more at Hybrid Cars.
