I HAVE TO SELL HER BECOUSE I BOUGHT ME A 1967 SPLIT WINDOW SUNDIAL CAMPER AND I NEED THE MONEY TO RESTORE THE SUNDIAL. I BOUGHT THIS FROM THE ORIGINAL OWNER AND WITH IT I GOT A LOT OF PAPERWORK TO GO WITH HER. I WAS TOLD THIS WAS THE ORIGINAL MILES. SHE RUNS LIKE A TOP. I DID DECIDE TO PUT DUAL CARBS ON HER BUT I CAN NOT GET THEM ADJUSTED BECOUSE I HAVE NO CLUE ON DUAL CARBS. I HAVE DRIVEN HER AROUND TOWN BUT NOT TO FAR. I WOULD RECOMEND TO SHIP HER UNTILL YOU CAN ADJUST THOSE CARBS. I HAD HER PAITED BACK TO THE ORIGINAL COLOR AND SHE SHINES LIKE A NEW PENNEY. THE TENT IS THE ORIGINAL THAT I WAS TOLD. IT HAS NO RIPS OR ANYTHING. THE BED THAT GOES UPSTAIRS IS NOT THERE. I TOOK IT OUT AND CANT FIND IT BUT I AM LOOKING WITH NO GARENTEE. THE FRONT SEATS NEED TO BE COVERD BUT THEY STILL ARE USABLE. AS YOU CAN SEE THE FLOORS ARE SOLID WITH NO RUST. THE WINDSHIELD WAS FOGGY SO I REPLACED IT WITH NEW GLASS AND A NEW SEAL. THE TIRES ARE GOOD AND THE WHEELS AND TOP AND BUMPERS WERE ALSO PAINTED. I WAS GOING TO UNDERCOAT THE BUS BUT I THOUGHT I WOULD LEAVE IT BECOUSE I WANTED EVERYONE TO SEE THAT IT IS SOLID. THE A/C BLOWS BUT IT IS NOT ICE COLD. NOT SURE WHATS WRONG BECOUSE I DIDNT GET THAT FAR. I JUST TOOK HER CAMPING AND DID GREAT. IT DOES HAVE THE SINK AND THE PUMP WORKS A LITTLE BUT DOES WORK. THE BOTTOM / BACK SEAT FOLDS DOWN TO A BED AND IT IS VERY NICE. I AM TRYING TO TELL YOU EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS SO IF I MISSED SOMETHING PLEASE LET ME KNOW. I WILL ASSIT IN SHIPPING ANYWAY I CAN BUT IT IS YOUR EXPENSE. THANK YOU FOR LOOKING AND HAPPY BIDDING. VW debuts Get Happy Super Bowl ad
Mon, 28 Jan 2013
Brace yourself for another tidal wave of Super Bowl commercials. Volkswagen has released its spot for this year's big game. Set to air during the second quarter, the Get Happy spot follows one jubilant office worker as he makes his way through the day, spreading joy wherever he goes. The source of his happiness? A Volkswagen Beetle, of course. Now, if you're wondering why a gaggle of white guys are running around on your screen with Jamaican accents, it will help to know the spot is part of a larger Get Happy campaign featuring Jimmy Cliff.
The first ad in the series featured the artist singing his rendition of "C'Mon, Get Happy," complete with a little help from some notorious unhappy YouTube stars. You can take a look at the new ad before it airs below, along with the complete press release for a little more background.
VW Beetle R is one mean bug
Wed, 02 Oct 2013Volkswagen's R lineup currently consists of the Golf R in North America, and the too-cool-for-school Scirocco R in Europe. It hasn't exactly been a secret as to which VW would next get the R treatment; the German manufacturer reportedly confirmed that a hotter Beetle would be coming to the US. That announcement, in August 2011, was followed up by a production-ready Beetle R Concept at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show.
After some wait, we're finally seeing spy shots of the Beetle R in Germany. The mule shown in the images here is wearing the R-Line bodykit, which adds sportier front and rear fascias, side skirts, dual exhausts and a not-so-subtle spoiler. Topped off with Volkswagen's traditional, five-spoke R wheels, we'd be just fine with the Beetle R coming to market as is.
Our spy photographer, though, seems to think that the production R will get even sportier sheetmetal, which we take to mean the more assertive look shown on the Frankfurt show car. Larger intakes on the front fascia, a bigger rear spoiler and vertical vents on the rear bumper could all be upcoming. Whether a production model will include the concept's polished wheels (R cars haven't traditionally embraced that look), vented hood and the quad-tipped exhausts remains to be seen.
Translogic 168: CES 2015 Roundup
Wed, Jan 14 2015Translogic and the yearly CES glorious gadget geekout go together like digital peanut butter and high-def jelly. At this year's show, surrounded by an egg-shaped Mercedes-Benz concept and the re-introduction of, of all things, the Sony Walkman, we had some fun. Between talking with Volkswagen about its new gesture-control tech and flying some video drones, we squeezed in some time to shred on ZBoard's new electric skateboard. The future is now.
