This is the COOLEST 1970 original VW Westfalia's you will probably ever find. Especially wearing its
Rare Delta Green Original Paint and nice complete interior. Don't buy a restored shiny Bondo bucket, buy a real blue chip investment.

It took me 3 years to find a Delta Green Westfalia as that's the color I wanted and if you look round, there hard as nails to find.. These are nearly impossible to find in any condition, and this one is really nice with a Jaw Dropping Patina

I'm Proud to offer one of the COOLEST 1970 OG Delta Green Westfalia / Campmobiles avaiable in the marketplace. Look around there's not another original Delta Green early bay Westfalia anywhere! Don't miss this one!

Its been fully serviced, new brakes, complete tuning and ready to cruise. Believed to be 111k ORIGINAL MILES. Drives super nice and tight. You gotta love the awesome patina fade this one sports. Wearing its most desirable Delta Green OG paint with a AWESOME untouched body and interior, it was never hacked, altered, or abused. It has always been a West Coast bus.

Bus is really solid throughout as it was garaged most its life.

I have all the original warranty books etc which is cool and rare to have.

The body is AMAZING for being over 40 years old, just look at the pictures. Nothing like a nice original paint bus with a nice body and almost perfect original tidy interior.

This is your window of opportunity to purchase this one. Looking to own the shows? Or be the center of attention? This is sure to do the trick. Leave it stock, or lower it on Porsche Fuchs? Narrow beam etc. The possibilities are endless. The more you look, the more this bus will blow your mind. Please remember this is not a restored bus; it has some dings, scratches, and minor paint touchups over the years, which is common for being over 40 years-old. Again, don’t miss this once in a lifetime opportunity to own it.

The bus and drives great and still has the ORIGINAL engine with a completely rebuilt transmission that works perfect. All lights, wipers, and blinkers work as they should.

Remember, A restored bus is a dime a dozen, a survivor like this is priceless and hard to find as most of them have been re-sprayed, restored, and altered. Thanks for taking the time to read the description.

Chrysler slows minivan production, hasn't built VW Routan this year

Wed, 13 Mar 2013

Chrysler has slowed production of its Town and Country and Dodge Grand Caravan minivans this week, Automotive News reports. The Windsor, Ontario plant will cut its three shifts from eight hours each to four hours each in an effort "to align production with market demand," a Chrysler spokesperson told AN. Chrysler also builds the closely related Routan minivan for Volkswagen at its Ontario facility, but has not built a single example thus far in 2013.
Sales of Chrysler's minivans fell 15 percent for the first two months of 2013, and a large part of that has to do with the 26-percent drop of the Grand Caravan alone (the T&C was only down by one percent). According to Automotive News data, as of March 1, Chrysler had an unsold inventory of 24,713 Town and Country models and 18,547 Grand Caravans - a 69- and 43-day supply, respectively.
"No sense running full speed now, then have a lot of vehicles sitting around a few months down the line," Chrysler spokeswoman Jodi Tinson told AN. Full production is expected to resume again on March 18.

VW delivers first XL1 in Germany

Mon, Jun 9 2014

Volkswagen has delivered the first XL1 diesel plug-in hybrid to a customer from Berlin, Germany. Dr. Christian Malorny received his Oryx White XL1 with black and grey interior from Volkswagen Germany's director of sales and marketing for passenger cars, Thomas Zahn, at the company's Transparent Factory in Dresden. The super-efficient XL1, which first debuted at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, is powered by a 0.8-liter, two-cylinder TDI engine and electric motor, with electricity supplied by a 5.5-kWh lithium-ion battery pack. Power is delivered to the rear wheels via a seven-speed DSG transmission. With a curb weight of 1,753 pounds and a drag coefficient of just 0.189, the XL1 is rated at 261 miles per gallon on the lenient European cycle. It is capable of traveling solely on electric power for up to 31 miles. "The XL1 has inspired me from the beginning and I am very pleased to now be driving my own," said Malorny, (translated). "With its visionary design and high-tech appearance, Volkswagen has dared something new and innovative." The futuristic XL1 seats two passengers, and can carry 4.2 cubic feet of cargo. It features a carbon fiber reinforced plastic body, and a low center of gravity. It is diminutive of stature, as you can see in the photo, measuring 153.1 inches long, 65.6 inches wide, and just 45.4 inches tall. It is being billed as the world's most efficient production car, but it's unlikely Dr. Malorny will be making his money back on fuel savings any time soon; despite the first sale and the vehicles appearing on the German VW site, Volkswagen has not officially announced the price tag for the XL1. In the past, we've heard it will cost approximately $145,000. Only 250 are being produced. Check out our drive review of the Volkswagen XL1 here or read on for more information in the Google-translated press release, below. VW announces recall of 26,000 2014 models with 1.8T engines

Tue, 22 Apr 2014

Volkswagen has followed up on a stop-sale order from earlier this month, announcing a voluntarily recall of 26,400 vehicles that are powered by the brand's 1.8-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder engine. The new mill replaced the despised 2.5-liter five-cylinder in the Jetta, Passat, Beetle and Beetle Convertible last year. Weirdly, though, of the 26,452 units covered in the recall, only 1,655 are customer vehicles.
According to VW, the affected models were built between February 1 and April 6 of this year, and feature bad O-ring seals in the transmission oil cooler. Apparently, the faulty O-rings could cause a fluid leak, as they won't seal between the oil cooler and transmission. VW is blaming a material change from a supplier for the problem.
There have been no fires, injuries, accidents or fatalities relating to this issue, which VW will be fixing free of charge. Customers will need to report to dealers to have the O-rings replaced.
