1967 AZ VW bus project.

This 11 window Kombi Bus has a very nice body and a nice running engine too. All the most important body lines are as straight as new, and will require little work.  The front driver and passenger floor have rust holes at the outside edges,(please see pics) and there is the usual rust at the battery tray.  The Bus has a deep scratch/ indented area on the drivers side rocker between the wheels. From the inside of the bus, this area is still depressed in about 3/4 inch, and a couple feet long.  but not too bad either. (please see pics)

Don't let the surface rust of wacky rattle can primer scare you off. Besides the rust at the front floor corners and battery tray, this Bus is Arizona dry! The undercarriage, inner panels, corners are a dream come true. Clean, factory straight and unaltered.

The pop up camper is missing, but a sliding sunroof may be cheaper and more practical.

The glass is good, but she will need a few side window frames.

As you can tell by the pictures, this bus has a head start on most VW bus projects out there... overall very straight, dry and a great engine.  I was intending to restore this bus, but other projects are calling for cash.

I have a clean box C (NOT actual mileage)  Arizona title ready to go.

Thank you for viewing my listing.

German judge 'inclined to dismiss' hedge fund lawsuit against Porsche

Fri, Feb 27 2015

Last year, around two dozen investors, including hedge funds, leveled a 1.4 billion euro ($1.95 billion at the time) lawsuit against Porsche in connection with the automaker's attempted takeover of Volkswagen in 2008. The Stuttgart Regional Court dismissed the case. Around 19 of those plaintiffs are heading back to court to appeal the ruling and still hope to get 1.2 billion euros ($1.4 billion). However, according to one German judge, the chances for success aren't any better this time around. "On balance it's our view that we consider the lawsuit, or the appeal, to be unpromising for several reasons," Gerhard Ruf, a judge in Stuttgart, said to Reuters. "We are inclined to dismiss the case." The court's ruling on the appeal will be announced on March 26. The investors' case hinges on Porsche's strategy surrounding the botched takeover. The sports car maker said that it wasn't trying to control VW, when in fact it was. These hedge funds had bet against Volkswagen stock, but the share price surged when Porsche's plan inevitably came to light. Investors have sued the sports car company multiple times since then in attempts to recoup billions of dollars. However, none of the lawsuits have been successful, whether attempted in the US or Germany. Former Porsche CEO Wendelin Wiedeking and and CFO Holger Haerter might still stand trial for the alleged stock manipulation, though. VW Scirocco is the car nerd's classic car

Wed, Apr 22 2015

Petrolicious undoubtedly makes some fantastic videos, but it often focuses on expensive, rare vehicles that many people might not be able to afford for their garage. This week the spotlight shifts to a modern coupe that's fairly accessible: the Volkswagen Scirocco. Owner Jason Cammisa is a senior editor at Road & Track, and his job puts him behind the wheel of some of the world's fastest supercars. Despite that, he has kept driving this 16-valve Scirocco that he has owned since college. The Scirocco is an easy car to love, though. Its simple, angular lines still look beautiful on the road today. While the four-cylinder engine doesn't make huge power, the coupe is nimble and ideal for a drive over twisty roads. Cammisa also makes an interesting point about owning affordable classics like this. Without a wealthy owner base like those that support vintage Corvettes or Porsches, there's little desire in the aftermarket to produce spare parts for his Scirocco. He worries about keeping the VW on the road decades into the future. For now, enjoy this '80s coupe thanks to this great clip from Petrolicious.
