If you have been looking for a low
mile, well cared for Beetle convertible then you are going to LOVE my 2007 model with only 34k original rust free,
accident free Florida miles! This car is beautiful inside and out and what a color, red-red-red! It is a true Florida
car with a clean Autocheck report, it received a great score of 89 points out of an average rating of between 58-73
points so you know it has a great history and being a Florida car there is no rust and even the underside still looks
near new, you won't see that on any northern vehicle. It was adult owned and traded in at our local Volvo dealership
here in Ft. Myers Florida. Look at those pictures, this is a beautiful car! The red VW paint has a nice deep shine
with no dents, scrapes, fade or rust. The headlights are nice and clear and the factory aluminum wheels are the
upgraded models and look great. The tires have good tread remaining to help this Beetle ride and handle nice and
smooth. The top is full power and goes up and down with just the touch of a switch and is very easy to use. It looks
nice but does show some wear on the folding areas from going up and down, ordinary for these Beetle's. The rear
window is glass and nice and clear. The interior is spotless and this is a non-smoker's car so it is very fresh
inside and should be with only 34k miles. The seats are leather-style and they are heated and look great both front
and rear. The whole interior is very clean and obviously well cared for. All the options work just as they should
including the ice cold air conditioning, full power top and Monsoon CD stereo that sounds wonderful. Look again at
all the pictures, this is a VERY clean car. What a pleasure to drive, smooth and quiet. Starting in 2006 VW upgraded
the Beetle's with the bigger and better 2.5 engine, it is more powerful and fun to drive and it still gets great gas
mileage. It runs smooth as new and again should with these low miles. The brakes are smooth as well along with the
transmission and suspension with no shakes or rattles, you will LOVE it! So again, a true rust free, accident free
Florida Beetle convertible with only 34k miles and in great shape inside and out, and RED! Once you see and take it
for a spin around the block you are sure to fall in love and in this shape with low miles you are sure to be in love
for a long, long time! I have the factory books and two keys with remotes. I have great feedback so you can be
sure that this vehicle will be just as nice as I am stating. Should you need help with shipping call me, if you
decide to fly into Ft.Myers to pick it up in person I will meet you at our local airport right here in town. I know
buying a vehicle you haven't driven is a little scary so I try to make it easy as well as fun!! As with all my
vehicles, this one was put through a safety check to be sure it is safe and road worthy. This includes an oil change
and an inspection of the brakes, belts, hoses, cooling system, fluid levels, etc. It's just one more thing I can do
to make this a good experience for you. Well, that's my vehicle! As with all my offerings, you are encouraged to call
with any questions @ 239-872-5281. I thank you for your time and good luck bidding! ![]()

It goes without saying, but I'll say it anyway. The world is full of cars, and just about as many of them are bad as are good. It's pretty easy to pick which fall into each category after giving them a thorough walkaround and, more important, driving them. But every once in a while, an automobile straddles the line somehow between good and bad — it may be hideously overpriced and therefore a marketplace failure, it may be stupid quick in a straight line but handles like a drunken noodle, or it may have an interior that looks like it was made of a mess of injection-molded Legos. Heck, maybe all three. Yet there's something special about some bad cars that actually makes them likable. The idea for this list came to me while I was browsing classified ads for cars within a few hundred miles of my house. I ran across a few oddballs and shared them with the rest of the team in our online chat room. It turns out several of us have a few automotive guilty pleasures that we're willing to admit to. We'll call a few of 'em out here. Feel free to share some of your own in the comments below. Dodge Neon SRT4 and Caliber SRT4: The Neon was a passably good and plucky little city car when it debuted for the 1995 model year. The Caliber, which replaced the aging Neon and sought to replace its friendly marketing campaign with something more sinister, was panned from the very outset for its cheap interior furnishings, but at least offered some decent utility with its hatchback shape. What the two little front-wheel-drive Dodge models have in common are their rip-roarin' SRT variants, each powered by turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engines. Known for their propensity to light up their front tires under hard acceleration, the duo were legitimately quick and fun to drive with a fantastic turbo whoosh that called to mind the early days of turbo technology. — Consumer Editor Jeremy Korzeniewski Chevrolet HHR SS: Chevy's HHR SS came out early in my automotive journalism career, and I have fond memories of the press launch (and having dinner with Bob Lutz) that included plenty of tire-smoking hard launches and demonstrations of the manual transmission's no-lift shift feature. The 260-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder was and still is a spunky little engine that makes the retro-inspired HHR a fun little hot rod that works quite well as a fun little daily driver.

For car enthusiasts, the most exciting part of ringing in a new year is watching the list of import-eligible cars grow. Federal regulations make bringing a late-model car from Europe or Asia mind-bogglingly difficult, but these barriers fall as soon as a vehicle turns 25. There's no need to slash through a jungle of red tape; simply ship your dream forbidden fruit over, pay import duties, and in most states you're good to park a fresh import car in your garage. Of course, you need to locate any car you're considering importing, whether it's on this list of cars you can import in 2023 or not. A quick search of the internet will show that there are a lot of places that specialize in sourcing cars to import into the United States, and while we don't have any firsthand experience with any of them, we can point out a few well-known import car dealers, including some at auction. Duncan Imports and Classics bills itself as "America's Largest JDM Dealer" and keeps a large inventory of vehicles that have already been brought into the States. The Import Guys boast options to ship and finance worldwide, Davey Japan claims to have exported over 50,000 vehicles from Japan, and Goonet Exchange says it's operated by "Japan's largest used car information site." Japanese site Be Forward lists a staggering 10,949 online reviews at the time of writing with an average score of around 4.5 out of 5 stars. If your new year's resolution is to buy a car from overseas, here are some of the highlights from 2023's crop of importable cars. Keep in mind that some of these import cars were introduced in 1997 but didn't enter production until 1998, while others made their debut late in the year. And without further ado, here is a list of six cars that are eligible for import to the U.S. in 2023 that are worth noting. Cars that are eligible to import into the U.S. in 2023 Alfa Romeo 166 Developed to replace the 164, the 166 stands out as Alfa Romeo's last true flagship sedan; it wasn't directly replaced. It shares its front-wheel-drive platform with the Lancia Kappa but the two cars look nothing alike. Alfa Romeo gave the big sedan a smooth, relatively elegant design that borrows several styling cues from the smaller 156.

Forgive the ribbon up top - this isn't so much of a Read This as a Look At This. Ran When Parked took a tour of the sprawling Volkswagen Museum in Wolfsburg, and while there's a spot of text about the different and unique vehicles on display in the rotating exhibits, it's largely the collection of pictures of odd, one-off VW-badged cars and vans that excites. If you're a fan of the weird and wild, this is a post you'll want to look at. As RWP points out, this is the larger, but less busy, museum targeted purely at Volkswagen products. The smaller AutoStadt museum, meanwhile, covers a much broader swath, with products from other Volkswagen Group members. Click on over to view the extensive gallery of high-quality images from Ran When Parked.
