Volkswagen 1977 Convertible 18000 Miles on 2040-cars
Hicksville, New York, United States
HERE IS A VERY NICE 1977 VOLKSWAGEN. I PURCHASED THIS VOLKSWAGEN FROM MY FRIENDS FATHER WHO IS 72 YEARS OLD WHO WOULD DRIVE IT AROUND ON A SUNNY DAY. DURING THE WINTER HE WOULD GO TO FLORIDA, THATS WHERE THE CAR WAS PARKED IN A GARAGE AND DRIVEN AROUND THE KEYS. HE WAS THE SECOND OWNER AND TOLD ME THAT IT ONLY HAS 18000 ORIGINAL MILES, AND IF YOU LOOK AT IT, IT'S VERY EASY TO BELIEVE THAT IT DOES. IN THE TIME HE HAD IT HE MADE A FEW CHANGES LIKE ADDING DISK BRAKES TO THE FRONT A NEW SET OF RIMS AND TIRES AS WELL AS A FEW CHANGES TO THE MOTOR TO GIVE IT A LITTLE MORE POWER AND I HAVE TO SAY IT REALLY GOES. HE USED IT VERY LITTLE AND DECIDED TO SELL IT SO I BOUGHT IT AND LOVE DRIVING IT. IT RUNS AND DRIVES LIKE NEW AND IS A REAL PLEASURE TO DRIVE. YOU CAN DRIVE THIS CAR ANYWHERE WITH OUT ANY WORRIES. I'M SELLING IT BECAUSE I DON'T REALLY USE IT ANYMORE AND WOULD LIKE TO SEE SOMEBODY ELSE ENJOY IT. I'M SURE I FORGOT A FEW THINGS SO IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE EMAIL ME AND I WILL GET BACK TO YOU AS FAST AS I CAN. PLEASE DO NOT BID ON THIS CAR UNLESS YOU CAN SEND A $500. NON REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT AT THE END OF THE AUCTION AND PAY FOR IT WITHIN 3 DAYS!! THESE AUCTIONS TAKE TIME AND COST MONEY!! IF YOU HAVE A FEEDBACK LESS THAN 30 PLEASE CONTACT ME OR YOUR BID WILL BE REMOVED. THANK YOU FOR LOOKING AND HAVE A GREAT DAY!!!!!!

The best Super Bowl car commercials from the last 5 years
Wed, Jan 28 2015If you've been dipping into the Autoblog feed over the past days and weeks, you wouldn't even have to be a sports fan to know the Super Bowl is coming up. Automakers have been teasing their spots for the big game, dropping them days early, fully-formed onto the Internet and otherwise trying to amp up the multi-million-dollar outlays that they've made for air time on the biggest advertising day of the year. And, we're into it. The lead up to the Super Bowl is almost akin to a mini auto show around these parts; with automakers being amongst the most prolific advertisers on these special Sundays. The crop of ads from 2015 looks as strong as ever, but we thought we'd take a quick look back at some of our favorite spots from the last five years. Take a look at our picks – created from a very informal polling of Autoblog editors and presented in no particular order – and then tell us about your recent faves, in Comments. Chrysler, Imported From Detroit Chrysler, Eminem and a lingering pan shot of "The Fist" – it doesn't get much more Motown than 2011's Imported From Detroit. With the weight of our staffers hailing from in and around The D, it's no wonder that our memories still favor this epic Super Bowl commercial (even though the car it was shilling was crap). Imported really set the tone for later Chrysler ads, too, repeated the formula: celebrity endorsement + dramatic copy + dash of jingoism = pulled car-guy heartstrings. Mercedes-Benz, Soul teaser with Kate Upton One of our favorite Super Bowl commercials (and yours, based on the insane number of views you logged) didn't even technically air during the game. Mercedes-Benz teased its eventual spot Soul with 90-seconds worth of Kate Upton threatening to do her best Joy Harmon impression. (Teaser indeed.) It doesn't win points for cleverness, use of music, acting, or any compelling carness, but it proved that Mercedes' advertisers knew how to make a splash in the Internet Age. And, hey, it's still classier than every GoDaddy commercial. Kia, A Dream Car. For Real Life Like the Mercedes video above, the initial draw here is a pretty lady; in this case the always stunning Adriana Lima. But this Kia commercial really delivers the extra effort we expect while scarfing crabby snacks and homemades, too. First of all, Motley Crue. Second, a cowboy on a bucking rhino. Enjoy yet again.
YouTube's Super Bowl commercial buzz list dominated by automakers [w/videos]
Thu, 31 Jan 2013After Sunday's big game, YouTube will be the place to watch every commercial that you missed when you left your seat for an emergency guac refill or, as we say in Cleveland, took the Browns to the Super Bowl. That makes YouTube the nation's water cooler on Monday, and it's got some preliminary stats to share in the lead up to kickoff.
As you know, Super Bowl advertisers, particularly automakers, like to endlessly tease their big budget commercials in the weeks before the game, many times revealing them outright days in advance. Because of this, YouTube can tell us which commercials have been viewed the most so far, and their top five list is all automakers.
Kaley Cuoco appears to have been a good investment for Toyota, as her ad for the RAV4 has garnered the most YouTube views - six million and counting - among Super Bowl commercials so far. Second place goes to Mercedes-Benz, though not its actual Super Bowl commercial, but rather the teaser for it. You know, the one with Kate Upton and the car washing, which is up to 5.6 million views. Third place is Audi's Prom commercial (3.3M views), fourth goes to Volkswagen's slightly controversial Get In, Get Happy ad (3.3M views), and the fifth and final spot is bookended by the teaser video for Kaley Cuoco's commercial (3.2M views). You can watch all five in order below.
Chrysler and Fiat offering $1,000 rebates to VW owners as Marchionne gets tough
Mon, 10 Dec 2012The throw-down between Fiat CEO Sergio Marchionne and Volkswagen has heated up in earnest. According to Bloomberg, Fiat and Chrysler are now offering current Volkswagen owners in the US $1,000 rebates to trade in their ride. It's the latest in a series of shots Marchionne has taken at his German rival. As you may recall, the Fiat executive entered into a spat with Volkwagen board chairman Ferdinand Piëch and CEO Martin Winterkorn in October after the duo called for Marchionne's resignation from presidency of the European Automotive Manufacturers Association (AECA). At the time, the Volkswagen executives were quoted as saying Fiat would not survive the European economic downturn.
In response, Marchionne called the German executives "reprehensible," and accused Volkswagen of using a pricing strategy that has created created a "bloodbath" in the EU. Volkswagen has taken to steep discounting to carve out ever-larger slices of market share in Europe, but the company has a much smaller foothold in the US. Marchionne may be trying to hit Volkswagen where the manufacturer is weakest with the new Fiat new incentive program.
Late last week, the Fiat executive was voted to a second term as ACEA president.
