2004 VW Beetle TDI Automatic - 45+ MPG! The longer the drive, the better the mileage.
The car has had the following replaced in the last 1500 miles:
1) Motor/transmission mounts
2) New brake rotors, pads sensors
3) New sport shocks - all the way around
4) New tires all the way around
5) Fuel lines
6) glow plugs
7) New double clutch
The car is in excellent operating condition. The interior is OK, but not great. Has new floor mats. Very clean for its age and mileage (approximately 185,000 miles). This car can easily approach 500,000 miles with the right care. All oil/fluid changes happen regulary at 5000 miles. The only reason why it's being sold is its been replaced by another VW TDI - great little cars.
I'm pretty solid on the $6,500.00 price tag, but money talks so any reasonable offer will be considered. I'm in no hurry to sell, so no low-ballers or wishful thinkers. Time is money. The Bug is available to view during the week. No test driving unless you've got cash in hand.

UAW angered over VW workers getting right to defend anti-union vote
Thu, 13 Mar 2014The United Auto Workers have called a decision by the National Labor Relations Board allowing anti-UAW employees at the Volkswagen factory in Chattanooga the right to defend voting down unionization at the plant "an outrage."
You'll recall that the union was defeated by a vote of 712 to 626 in a contentious February election. The UAW claims the outcome was unfairly swayed by pro-business, anti-union forces, including Senator Bob Corker and political advocate Grover Norquist.
This new decision by the NLRB essentially gives workers backed by the anti-UAW National Right to Work Legal Defense Foundation and Southern Momentum a formal voice in the impending hearing on the UAW's appeal of the vote.
Touring the Volkswagen Museum in Wolfsburg

Ran When Parked took a tour of the sprawling Volkswagen Museum in Wolfsburg, and while there's a spot of text about the different and unique vehicles on display in the rotating exhibits, it's largely the collection of pictures of odd, one-off VW-badged cars and vans that excites. If you're a fan of the weird and wild, this is a post you'll want to look at.
