Priced to sell, great car, fun times, but since I do not have room, it must go! I am willing to accept trainable offers below my reserve. If you are buying out of the Northeast, you are responsible for arranging a transport vehicle and paying for it. I will provide the person to be there when we schedule a time. This car does not have a title since it was never issued one, the "title" is the state registration and will be transfered by signature."

 Condition: some rust spots, the last time it was painted was in the early 90's.  All of the pans are solid, and a new hide-away exhausted installed last winter. 

The bug was just tuned up with new spark plugs and an oil change. 

The previous owner was a California resident, thus the minimal rust.  He was also a bug collector, who collected to many and sold it to me here on eBay Motors.  Since buying it I have done many conversions to make it a New York car such as a conversion from a generator to an alternator ( no more power drains due to the cold!), upgraded the seat covers to a black vinyl, the originals remain underneath if you are qualified to restore the fabric weave, some of it would need a lot of work, but the covers clean up the interior very well. 

The windshield wiper motor just died over the summer, a replacement as well as new wiper arms and wipers have been purchased, I unfortunately do not have the time to install it all.

Great heat!  Fully functional and keeps you warm when you need to be, even the defroster vents work very well without an additional blower.

     Shipping or pickup will be at the discretion of the buyer and you are responsible for paying and arranging the service.  I will provide someone to be there when it is picked up.  Full payment is due before vehicle will be released as well as the registration.  A $500 deposit is due immedietly through paypal. Once payment is made, the registration will be sent out ahead of the vehicle as well as any personal receipts if requested.  I am here to work with you and get you the car as quickly and efficiently as possible! Volkswagen formally introduces super-efficient XL1

Lightweight and low drag are hallmarks of great sportscar design. But when paired with a super-efficient, hybrid powertrain, you have the Volkswagen's XL1 that has been formally introduced in Geneva today.
When the 1,700-lb, carbon-fiber-bodied two-seater hits the road, its claimed 261 miles per gallon will make it the world's most-fuel-efficient production car. Though "production car" might be a stretch since VW said in a February press release that the XL1 would be built using "handcrafting-like production methods." We translate that to mean you won't be seeing many of these cars on the road. Though no one at VW has mentioned pricing yet, early rumors suggested a six-figure price tag.
That's supercar budget for a vehicle that has a 47-horsepower, two-cylinder diesel engine and a 27hp electric motor. With numbers like that, owners can expect 0-62 mph times of 12.7 seconds and top speed near 100 mph.
