For Sale is a 1962 Voltswagen Beetle Sedan with a ragtop with NO RESERVE. After I bought this bug I had the body/fenders/hood & trunk lid, hood, & wheels and seats were taken off and sandblasted in and out. It has always been in my garage with just light surface rust. Sand and prime. It has new floor boards, luggage rack, front trunk clip and one heater channel for the year of the bug already welded into place. All the the replacement parts are of higher grade. The passenger side heater channel needs to be welded in to place and there is one small section of the front lower inner fender well that needs to be fixed that you can see in one of the pictures. It well need a small amount of body work then paint. All the fenders/doors look good. The floor and front end has already been painted a gloss black. Comes with a brand new transmission thats already in place. All new brakes, and drums/bearings/seals/shocks. I do have all of the original glass except the drivers/passinger side windows. Also comes with the original sun roof. Have all 4 original fenders, hood & trunk lid. Comes with the steering coluum & some of the stainless trim window pieces, front and back seats, gas tank, & gauges, front and back lights, head llights, pedals, that were in the car when I got it. Selling as whole or you could use it as a parts car. Either way I have way over in cost then what my start price is. My lost your gain! The Title number is the same as the tunnel number. I do reserve the right to pull this add at any given time due to having it advertise locally. VW Body will be wire/bolted to frame and will have all 4 original steel rims so it could be loaded onto a trailer for transport. There is a $500.00 down payment due through Pay-Pal after auction ends that is non refundable. If you want to pay in full by using pay-pal then add 3.5% to the total cost. This is what pay-pal charges everytime if you use there site to make an transaction. Its not cheap to advertise on here with all the charges I face with! Also after winning you have two weeks to pick up the VW unless other arrangements have been made pirior to the auction ending. If you do not like these rules, then don't bid and waiste my time. The bid is a bidding contract. When I bought this car it came with a title that has been signed, but not dated. I never had it titled in my name. You will have no problems getting this titled in your name. If you have questions just ask, I will do my best to answer any questions. Feel free to come and look at it.

FCA to pay buyers $1,700 to swap out of scandal-mired VWs
Tue, Oct 6 2015FCA is trying to gain some sales from arch-rival VW in the competitive European market by offering potential buyers in Italy up to $1,700 to swap into an FCA group car. While the promotion isn't specifically targeted at TDI owners affected by the emissions scandal, it is clearly intended to turn dissatisfaction with VW's defeat device cheat into additional sales, Bloomberg reports. The 500-1,500 euro incentive (roughly $560-1,700, depending on vehicle) stacks on top of any other rebates or deals applicable, and applies if a buyer brings in any of Volkswagen Group's cars – including Audi, Skoda, and SEAT, among (many) others. As Bloomberg notes, it's normal for automakers to offer "conquest" deals – giving a buyer cash for trading in a competitor's vehicle. Those deals aren't usually limited to one company's products, however; FCA's program looks specifically to take advantage of VW's legal and public relations nightmare. FCA isn't the only automaker trying this trick in Italy. Automotive News Europe also reported that Ford is offering approximately $840 in incentives across its entire range to owners of VW vehicles seeking to trade in for a Ford. No word of yet as to whether these incentives will spread beyond Italy or to other automakers.Related Video:
2014 VW Golf brings storied hatchback's seventh generation to US
Wed, 27 Mar 2013The seventh-generation Volkswagen Golf in US-specification officially debuts at the 2013 New York Auto Show. The new model is the first VW in the States to ride on the company's MQB architecture, and as such, it makes use of plenty of high-strength and ultra-high-strength steel to keep weight down. All told, the new shell is 51 pounds lighter than the outgoing generation, despite the fact that the finished car is a full 2.2 inches longer and .5 inches wider than the 2013 model.
Buyers can expect to find a base model powered by a 1.8-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine (blue car above) with 170 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque. That means the powerplant delivers the same horsepower as the old naturally aspirated 2.5-liter four-cylinder while weighing less and producing seven extra pound-feet of torque. TDI (silver car above) buyers, meanwhile, will enjoy a new 2.0-liter turbo diesel four-cylinder mill. VW says the engine yields 10 more horsepower than the old lump, which means the Golf TDI now boasts 150 hp and 236 lb-ft of torque.
GTI (red car above) buyers will now get their hands on a revised 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with approximately 210 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque - Volkswagen hasn't finalized power numbers for that machine. We're happy to see that the GTI still features its trademark plaid seats. Volkswagen says the new Golf and GTI will go on sale as a 2015 model, but doesn't say when the car will actually hit dealerships.
How VW's hyper-efficient XL1 will influence the next Golf
Mon, 18 Aug 2014In 2007, the European Union mandated fleet average CO2 emissions of 158.7 g/km. For 2015, that figure will drop to 130 g/km, and the target for 2020 is an ambitions 95 g/km. Thanks to some German politicking, that target will be phased in from 2020 to 2024, but it will still apply to 80 percent of passenger cars in that first year. In US miles per gallon, that's the equivalent of going from about 35 mpg to 42 mpg to 57 mpg. The current Volkswagen Golf is rated from 85 g/km of CO2 to 190 g/km depending on model - and zero for the e-Golf, so for the next-generation MkVIII hatch due in 2019, to meet the goal, Volkswagen engineers will need to introduce a bunch of new tricks. According to a report in Autocar, VW be mining its hyper-efficient XL1 for some of them.
Predictions for the next Golf include a variable-compression engine, an electric flywheel and an electric turbo, along with taking greater advantage of coasting. Volkswagen could be getting help from Audi with the electric turbo and variable-compression engine and electric turbo, with Audi already having shown off the former and brand technical boss Ulrich Hackenberg confirming the VW Group is working on the latter. It's possible the flywheel system could also have the mark of The Four Rings: Autocar mentions a British system that Volvo is testing, but the R18 e-tron Quattro racer has been using one for years.
The need for such features is because the company won't be able to net enough future gains from just aerodynamic improvements and advanced materials. As price will be a factor (the regulations are expected to "add hundreds of euros to the cost of building a car"), adding much more aluminum or carbon fiber is an unlikely option. We're told the next generation won't be longer or wider than the current car, and being Europe's most popular model, VW doesn't want to make a big bet on futuristic aero, but the report says the MkVIII will "likely" have "the most aerodynamic treatment yet seen on a production vehicle," the area where lessons learned from the XL1 will truly be seen.
