Rebuilt 1972 Triumph Spitfire. 17k Miles On 1500 Engine With Webber on 2040-cars
Arley, Alabama, United States
This is a 1972 Triumph Spitfire i bought back in 06 as a parts car but once i got out of the Marines a year ago, i started an off frame restoration on it. It has a new body and 1500 engine and transmission in it as well as new paint, brakes, tires, rims, hub adapters, clutch, top, carpet, dash, webber, more than i can remember. Runs like a dream! I have a video of starting it cold and running it about a mile up the road and back that will email to you if you ask me. The paint is fresh with clear coat but there are two small flaws in it. The top of the passenger door has small fish eyes and the top of the drivers rear fender has a spot with slight color change to it. Both are only seen if you look close but want you to know it. I never signed the title over to my name so you will be the next owner at probably second or third owner. Last title reg was 78! I will gladly answer any questions you have so please email me. Thanks for looking!

Jaguar F Type V6 S vs Triumph Street Triple R in open-air track attack
Sun, 21 Sep 2014Typically, these track battle videos pair up car against car or, in more disparate circumstances, car versus crossover, as we saw the other day. While the outcome of that battle was quite predictable, what'll happen when an equally fetching (and fast) four-wheeler is put up against one of the icons of the two-wheeled world? Evo just had to find out.
Matching up a Jaguar F-Type V6 S Convertible against a Triumph Street Triple R is at least more of an even fight than the last battle between the Porsche Cayman GTS and Macan Turbo. The Triumph has a 675-cc engine to work with, and is very light. Meanwhile, the Jag has a thumping 380-horsepower, 3.0-liter, supercharged V6 to haul about it's considerably heftier heft. Who will come out on top?
You'll need to watch the full video to find out.
