1978 Triumph Spitfire, Very original Rust free example, Currently running and driving. Engine was rebuilt by prior owner, I am the second owner. The original owner purchased the car new locally at Newman imports of Berlin, CT. Overall the car is in great condition,it has some minor dings and chips, no known accidents or damage. Undercarriage is in outstanding condition, no rust could be found, especially in the area's that spitfires are known for. Engine runs good, transmission and clutch work well, brakes however could use some attention. The tires are old and need to be replaced. Please dont expect to drive this one home, but it can be test driven. All the lights and Gauges work except the speedometer and based on the paper work the speedo has been inop for a long time. So true mileage is unknown. Car has a excellent convertible top and also includes a tan boot cover and a full black tonneau top also in great condition. Car has its original Connecticut Title and will be sold on that and a Bill of Sale. Car is located in Central Connecticut and can been seen by appointment.

Jaguar F Type V6 S vs Triumph Street Triple R in open-air track attack
Sun, 21 Sep 2014Typically, these track battle videos pair up car against car or, in more disparate circumstances, car versus crossover, as we saw the other day. While the outcome of that battle was quite predictable, what'll happen when an equally fetching (and fast) four-wheeler is put up against one of the icons of the two-wheeled world? Evo just had to find out.
Matching up a Jaguar F-Type V6 S Convertible against a Triumph Street Triple R is at least more of an even fight than the last battle between the Porsche Cayman GTS and Macan Turbo. The Triumph has a 675-cc engine to work with, and is very light. Meanwhile, the Jag has a thumping 380-horsepower, 3.0-liter, supercharged V6 to haul about it's considerably heftier heft. Who will come out on top?
You'll need to watch the full video to find out.
