1977 Triumph Spitfire
I am offering up the first of several British cars today. This car was purchased from an estate. I have done nothing with the car except bring it home and realize that I have no room and need to let this one go on past. I did spray starting fluid in the carb and she came right to life for a few seconds. In fact I did that several times and it started every time then ran till out of starting fluid. I had planned on restoring this one too, but sometimes my love for these cars outweighs my space and time.
I have looked it over and it would be a pretty nice car, I think with a little TLC. It does have a Nardi wood steering wheel, which is worth several hundreds of dollars by itself. The car is sitting on 205/60-13 fatty tires, looks pretty cool. Tires are old though. It is my understanding that this car sat in a garage for a number of years, how many is anyones guess. Has nice lookin seats that are in very good shape. Looks like a trim shop must have done them as there is nicer padding than any other spitfire I've had. There is the typical rust on drivers and passengers floor pan, but doesn't appear to be too bad. Someone has done a repair to the drivers floor as there is a piece of steel there. The passenger floorboard is starting to get thin and has opened up about a 4x4 area. It will need attention. Top isn't fantastic, but will work. The car has been repainted the color it is, and the hood looks like it has just faded out, or dried out over the years. The rest of the body is presentable, a small amount of bubbling just behind passenger door in rear wheel well. It will need to have the brakes looked over, as the master cylinder has leaked out its fluid while sitting. I am guessing the transmission is fine, It can be shifted into all gears.
That's about all I know about her, but would be happy to answer any questions, or take more specific photos if you need me to. Just email, and please do so before auction end.

Jaguar F Type V6 S vs Triumph Street Triple R in open-air track attack
Sun, 21 Sep 2014Typically, these track battle videos pair up car against car or, in more disparate circumstances, car versus crossover, as we saw the other day. While the outcome of that battle was quite predictable, what'll happen when an equally fetching (and fast) four-wheeler is put up against one of the icons of the two-wheeled world? Evo just had to find out.
Matching up a Jaguar F-Type V6 S Convertible against a Triumph Street Triple R is at least more of an even fight than the last battle between the Porsche Cayman GTS and Macan Turbo. The Triumph has a 675-cc engine to work with, and is very light. Meanwhile, the Jag has a thumping 380-horsepower, 3.0-liter, supercharged V6 to haul about it's considerably heftier heft. Who will come out on top?
You'll need to watch the full video to find out.
