1975 Triumph Spitfire Factory Hard Top And Overdrive on 2040-cars
Raynham, Massachusetts, United States
1975 Triumph Spitfire 1500, with factory hardtop, factory overdrive transmission.
I purchased this Spitfire with a batch of triumphs, originally was going to restore for my daughter, but alas she's a mustang girl now. Overall it's a worthy candidate for restoration front of floor pans have some rust through, but remaining 2/3rds are pretty solid. Rockers are pretty nice with minimal rust through, bonnet inner structure is shot cheaper to replace.one spot of rust through on frame rest looks good, see all the pictures they will tell the story. Engine will need full rebuild someone had begun to pull head, push rods are in battery tray. Basically if your going to restore a spitfire it may as well be a highly optioned one, and this is it with factory hard top and overdrive transmission it also has a roll bar. Last registered in Rhode Island, i have no title bill of sale only. This Spitfire needs a total restoration and the reserve is set at what the hard top and transmission is worth easily would like to see it go to someone who will restore it. Have seats and other parts that came with car and including a used replacement shifter with overdrive button. |

Jaguar F Type V6 S vs Triumph Street Triple R in open-air track attack
Sun, 21 Sep 2014Typically, these track battle videos pair up car against car or, in more disparate circumstances, car versus crossover, as we saw the other day. While the outcome of that battle was quite predictable, what'll happen when an equally fetching (and fast) four-wheeler is put up against one of the icons of the two-wheeled world? Evo just had to find out.
Matching up a Jaguar F-Type V6 S Convertible against a Triumph Street Triple R is at least more of an even fight than the last battle between the Porsche Cayman GTS and Macan Turbo. The Triumph has a 675-cc engine to work with, and is very light. Meanwhile, the Jag has a thumping 380-horsepower, 3.0-liter, supercharged V6 to haul about it's considerably heftier heft. Who will come out on top?
You'll need to watch the full video to find out.
