1975 Triumph Spitfire for sale.  I am the second owner of this car and have owned it for the last 27 years. It has probably only had 1000 miles put on it in the last 10 years. Always stored indoors since I have owned it.  No rust.  There is 1 little "bubble" that has been on the front fender for about the last 15 years, it has never gotten any bigger.  It is about 1/8" in size.  Ad states that the car has 79,000 miles on it.  Speedo quit working about 300 miles ago so mileage is not exact.  Motor was rebuilt about 20 years ago.  Convertible top is in good shape with one small 1/2" size rip, windows are clear.  Car comes with tonneau and boot covers, as well as a custom fit car cover.  Tires need to be replaced.  Clutch, pressure plate, and throw out have less then 1000 miles on them.  Clutch and brake master cylinders were replaced at the same time.  No overdrive.  Carpets are great but the vinyl on the seats is ripped under the seat covers.  I'm sure I'm forgetting something about this car, If you have any questions, please ask.  Bidders are encouraged to come and look at the car before bidding.  A $500.00 non-refundable deposit is due within 24 hours of the auction ending.  Remainder due within 48 hours of the auction ending.  I will accept paypal or cash at pick up.

Jaguar F Type V6 S vs Triumph Street Triple R in open-air track attack

Sun, 21 Sep 2014

Typically, these track battle videos pair up car against car or, in more disparate circumstances, car versus crossover, as we saw the other day. While the outcome of that battle was quite predictable, what'll happen when an equally fetching (and fast) four-wheeler is put up against one of the icons of the two-wheeled world? Evo just had to find out.
Matching up a Jaguar F-Type V6 S Convertible against a Triumph Street Triple R is at least more of an even fight than the last battle between the Porsche Cayman GTS and Macan Turbo. The Triumph has a 675-cc engine to work with, and is very light. Meanwhile, the Jag has a thumping 380-horsepower, 3.0-liter, supercharged V6 to haul about it's considerably heftier heft. Who will come out on top?
You'll need to watch the full video to find out.
