Here is my 1972 Spitfire. A few body imperfections but pretty straight, paints fair. All rust has been repaired. A 6in by 10in repair on the drivers floor and a 2in by 6in on pass. floor. That is the only rust I have found on the entire car. Sills and rockers are clean. The battery tray had rust holes. Treated with rust convertor and POR 15 and a new poly liner from Moss is installed. New battery. New front cooling panels from Moss. New alternator (GM). New starter. New carpet. New seat covers. Seats are good for sitting in but not looking at, thats why the covers. A couple seams have split on the factory seat material. All glass is good. Top is relatively new. It does go up and down. The top cover is as shown. New fuel tank. New front wheels bearings. Tires are good. Brakes are good. New Lecarra steering wheel and hub. New poly gear box cover. Lights all work except the back up lamps. Clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder are new. New brake master cylinder. New heater control valve and stainless steel bracket and new hoses plummed correctly. Currently running points ignition. New points, wires and plugs. Runs and starts great. Shifts great but could use another slave cylinder bleed. Has an older monza style exhaust but its good and sounds great. Installed new tach and speedo cables and neither is working. Where I state "new", that means I did this work and replace the stated parts in the last 2 months. Neat little car. The milage as stated is most likely not correct but that is whats showing. Message for contact and inspection information. NO RESERVE, if it gets bids-it sells.

Jaguar F Type V6 S vs Triumph Street Triple R in open-air track attack

Sun, 21 Sep 2014

Typically, these track battle videos pair up car against car or, in more disparate circumstances, car versus crossover, as we saw the other day. While the outcome of that battle was quite predictable, what'll happen when an equally fetching (and fast) four-wheeler is put up against one of the icons of the two-wheeled world? Evo just had to find out.
Matching up a Jaguar F-Type V6 S Convertible against a Triumph Street Triple R is at least more of an even fight than the last battle between the Porsche Cayman GTS and Macan Turbo. The Triumph has a 675-cc engine to work with, and is very light. Meanwhile, the Jag has a thumping 380-horsepower, 3.0-liter, supercharged V6 to haul about it's considerably heftier heft. Who will come out on top?
You'll need to watch the full video to find out.
