NO RESERVE!!! Own a rare piece of history that still has all of its original cancer-free body panels! Awesome car that I put countless hours and dollars into. Here is what I can think of off hand: New michelins including spare and 5 new minilite style wheels. New brakes pads, Hoses, drums, drilled rotors, wheel cylinders, rebuilt calipers all around. Rebuilt overdrive gearbox is hooked up to an overhauled 1300CC engine fed with a new weber DGV carb (manual choke.) The driveline has new universal joints. Switch on dash activates overdrive. 3.89 differential installed for highway cruising. ABS tunnel cover, Aluminum valve cover, new brake and clutch master cylinder + slave cylinder. Monza Exhaust and Header installed. New clutch. Seats came out of a mk 2 spitfire and could use some new covers. New convertible top. Front suspension rebuilt -- new KYB shocks on the front and spax on the back. New differential seals and mounts. All wiring works. Luggage rack is worn but looks great. Speedometer is not hooked up -- I think it needs a new cable. This car is a runner. I was planning a cross country trip in her this summer but work cut back my pay significantly and I have to let her go. Being that I was planning for a cross country trip in this car, I made sure that all of the mechanicals were sound. I just had it aligned. The car runs and drives amazingly. The body literally has under 40K miles on it. I found this car on the east coast and hauled it back to Oregon since it had little to no rust and sat in a covered garage for over 25 years. I spoke multiple times to the original owner (I am the second owner) and he validated the mileage. I put a rebuilt motor in it along with a rebuilt gearbox for reliable highway cruising. The floors are original and rust free. The rear trunk area has some tiny rust through which you can see in the photos. I would feel confident that this car would make a long trip as it is right now. I have been driving it daily. It has a CD player. The gas tank was from another car and has no rust in it -- I found the original gas tanks to fit better than the new ones so I found a solid used one. No issues with this car besides the obvious condition of the paint and the ding here and there. You can see the dent on the rear quarter clearly. It can probably be popped out easily. The carpet is new as of last summer but not perfect. This one is a runner. Good luck bidding on this rare MK 1 spitfire. Its very quick and handles very well! This is your chance to own a real survivor with all original body panels! This car is being sold as-is. All sales are final. I will include a bunch of spare parts including the original speedometer if I can find it . The original speedo shows the actual mileage on the body which is under 35K. Please dont bid if you cant pay.

Jaguar F Type V6 S vs Triumph Street Triple R in open-air track attack
Sun, 21 Sep 2014Typically, these track battle videos pair up car against car or, in more disparate circumstances, car versus crossover, as we saw the other day. While the outcome of that battle was quite predictable, what'll happen when an equally fetching (and fast) four-wheeler is put up against one of the icons of the two-wheeled world? Evo just had to find out.
Matching up a Jaguar F-Type V6 S Convertible against a Triumph Street Triple R is at least more of an even fight than the last battle between the Porsche Cayman GTS and Macan Turbo. The Triumph has a 675-cc engine to work with, and is very light. Meanwhile, the Jag has a thumping 380-horsepower, 3.0-liter, supercharged V6 to haul about it's considerably heftier heft. Who will come out on top?
You'll need to watch the full video to find out.
