2010 Toyota Yaris
Low Miles, One Owner
Excellent Condition!
This is a very nice little Yaris. It has Air Conditioning and Automatic Transmission, Power Steering and Brakes and a great sounding AM/FM CD Stereo that also has an Auxilary Port for your iPod or other player. The car is extremely clean throughout, has never been in any accident and has no damage on her of any kind. The only reason I am selling it is it doesn't get used. The factory warranty is still in tact from Toyota, the warranty start date was 3/17/11. The car shows as almost new. The glass is perfect, and the paints shines like new. The interior is in great condition and there is only minor wear inside. There have always been two sets of mats of on the floor both front and rear. There is also a custom made carpet section for use when the rear seats are folded down that perfectly matches the original carpet, it adds a nice extra layer of protection when carrying things around in the back. There are no disappointments at all with this car. Dianna bought the car brand new here in Bend. The services have all been done at the local Toyota dealer. It is like new for a lot less! With under 14,000 miles, this car will give the new owner many, many years of trouble free motoring. Call (541) 419-0531 if you require any additional information.
There is a loan on the car through Toyota credit for part of the value. The car is also available for sale here in Bend. Any shipping on this vehicle will be at the buyers expense. It can be picked up in Bend.

Toyota U2 urban utility concept inspired by Maker Faire [w/video]
Tue, 09 Sep 2014There's a quiet revolution happening in US cities. People want to mix an urban lifestyle with a connection to nature and appreciation for craftsmanship. The result of all of this is folks pursuing things as varied as urban farming, home brewing and the whole maker movement. Toyota thinks it has the perfect concept for these intrepid customers with its new Urban Utility concept that it is debuting during a panel discussion hosted by Make: magazine in San Francisco and debuting publicly on September 20 at the World Maker Faire in New York City.
The Urban Utility concept can best be described as a modern take on the old panel van. Designers from Toyota's Calty Design Research center in California interviewed Maker Faire participants to find out what its users want from a novel vehicle like this. "Toyota saw an opportunity for a new approach to an urban vehicle based on increasing re-urbanization of our cities and urban drivers' desire for flexibility, fun and maneuverability," said Kevin Hunter president of Calty.
On the outside, the Urban Utility doesn't really scream for attention. It's meant to meet users "desire for greater utility but a smaller vehicle footprint," according to the release, but the shape is still very much a van. The designers do try to lend it some panache with the LED headlights up front and checker board side panels. It's really more about utility than looks, though, because the roof can roll back for taller loads, the rear glass retracts into the tailgate, and the whole rear can fold down as a ramp to load stuff more easily into the cabin. Toyota isn't talking about a powertrain yet but claims that the underbody is also especially durable for a long life in the big city.
2014 Toyota Corolla gets marginal IIHS small overlap crash test score [w/video]
Fri, 04 Oct 2013Toyota may have performed some major surgery on the 2014 Corolla, but that hasn't helped the Japanese automaker overcome tough new crash test procedures. The Corolla, Toyota's bread-and-butter compact sedan, managed only a Marginal score on the new small overlap crash test, which was just added last year.
Despite the low score, the Corolla performed well in the moderate overlap front, side, rollover and rear testing, which was enough to score it a 2013 Top Safety Pick. In testing in August, six of the Corolla's competitors earned the Top Safety Pick + award, for good or acceptable scores across the board.
According to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, the Corolla's "Marginal" score was down to an "intruding structure," that could cause injuries to the lower left leg. There was also concern that in a collision, the driver's head would move after hitting the air bag, and collide with the A-pillar or dash.
Toyota ready to design more heart-racing Prius
Sat, Jan 25 2014Long praised for its fuel economy and reliability, the Toyota Prius has been no stranger to less-than-flattering remarks about its styling and sense of excitement. In fact, the model is a regular movie punchline. For evidence, see Mark Wahlberg in The Other Guys or, more recently, Ice Cube in Ride Along. Apparently, Toyota President Akido Toyoda is getting the message and is pushing for what's been translated as a more "heart-racing" design for both the Prius and the Camry, the Canadian website Driving says. The Camry and Prius accounted for about a third of Toyota's US sales last year. With the Camry as the best-selling US model for each of the last dozen years, Toyota US head designer Kevin Hunter noted at the Detroit Auto Show last week that the Japanese automaker is looking for a "more emotional" design for the boxy sedan. The Prius redesign may have more constraints, as aerodynamics have to be factored in to ensure top-line fuel economy for the world's best-selling hybrid. Toyota used the Detroit show to show off the FT-1, a concept that many consider a preview of the new Supra. How this "Future Toyota 1" will affect the Prius and Camry redesigns, whenever they appear, remains in question but we like where things are headed.
