2008 Toyota Yaris S Sedan 4-door 1.5l on 2040-cars
Cullman, Alabama, United States
Hello, up for bid is a 2008 Toyota Yaris 4-Door S Sedan. The car is in good condition with a few minor flaws. The passenger door has a ding in ot close to the door handle, the rear bumper has a very small crack (not from a wreck, the car has never been in a wreck), and also the passenger headlight is retaining water because the seal around the headlight dry rotted and allows water in but doesn't drain out. The car has been well taken care and has 2 previous owners including myself. The person that owned the car before me was an elderly lady and she also kept the car up to date. This Yaris has close to 102,000 miles on it and runs perfectly fine. Gets great gas mileage close to 35 in the city and 40 on the interstate. Has a spacious trunk but doesn't include a spare tire. The interior is cloth and shows some wear but not no holes or burns or anything of that nature. We are selling this car because we recently had a baby and wanted something with a little more room. The paint is original paint nothing has ever been repainted and the paint is also still showroom quality in my opinion to be close to 6 years old it shows no wear or chipping. We purchased this vehicle from a used car lot and it had around 72,000 miles on it when we purchase about 3 years ago so we have only put about 10,000 miles a year on it since purchasing it. I accept paypal and also cash in person. If buyer wants the vehicle shipped they are responsible to pay for shipping method themselves. Thanks and any further questions please contact me through eBay and I will gladly answer any questions or concerns about the car. |

Toyota GT86 turbo, convertible, sedan variants back on the table
Fri, 02 May 2014Okay Toyota, make up your mind. Figure it out. Quit playing games with our heart. Either build a bunch of variations of the excellent GT86 (also known as the Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ) or don't. At this point, we're just tired of the back and forth. After no shortage of denials, an Australian website is claiming that Toyota is reconsidering convertible, four-door, turbocharged and all-wheel-drive hybrid variants of the GT86. Kindly pass all the salt.
It's not that we don't want to believe the Aussies; we do. But when the story lists the same "sources in Japan" as a lot of the other denials and confirmations about GT86/BRZ/FR-S variants, well, there's a certain sense of the "Boy That Cried Wolf," here. Ignoring all that, then, what does Motoring.com.au claim to know?
Sources claim the GT86 Convertible will arrive in October 2014, while the turbocharged and hybrid sedans are slated for 2016.
Anti-EV messaging alive and well at Toyota, sort of
Thu, Jul 10 2014The folks at Toyota in Japan can be pretty blunt about electric-vehicle technology prospects as a viable transportation alternative to the internal combustion engine. Here in the states? Slightly more sanguine. Toyota global head of research and development Mitsuhisa Kato, according to Automotive News, discounts the potential of substantial EV sales in the near future because the appropriate technology that provides comparable driving distances and fill-up times relative to conventional vehicles doesn't yet exist. While Toyota has been conducting testing programs with shorter-commute-distance EVs in countries such as Japan and France, its only production EV in the US is the RAV4 EV, and Toyota sold just 546 of those in the States during the first half of the year. Toyota is much more excited about the debut of its first hydrogen fuel-cell production vehicle, in both Japan and the US, next year. Toyota Motor North America spokeswoman Jana Hartline was a little more charitable when discussing the EV's prospects in an interview with AutoblogGreen. "For shorter range, EVs serve a really great purpose, but as far as having equal mile range to an internal combustion engine, there's going to need to be some serious breakthroughs," Hartline said. "And that where the fuel cell comes in." Last month, Toyota said its fuel-cell sedan that will debut in Japan next April will be priced at about $69,000, though the company emphasized that it shouldn't be assumed it will be priced similarly in the US and Europe. Toyota hasn't released many performance details, though the sedan is expected to have a full (hydrogen) tank range of about 435 miles, or about five times that of a Nissan Leaf. Toyota Sienna Swagger Wagon rides again with Busta Rhymes
Mon, 04 Aug 2014Let's face it: there are few things less "gangsta" than a minivan (which goes a long way towards explaining why crossovers have been gradually taking their place as the family-hauler of choice across America, but we digress). The point here is not lost on Toyota, which has embraced the uncool image of the minivan with the Swagger Wagon campaign.
We first saw the suburban-goes-urban campaign pop up with the introduction of the new Sienna back in 2010. And now that the Sienna's been updated for 2015, the campaign is back again, featuring none other than Trevor Tahiem Smith, Jr. himself... better known to most as Busta Rhymes. The decidedly white-bread video spot that follows may make you cringe, but you've got to admit that it's well done, even if it doesn't have the charm and freshness of the original.
