Up for grabs is my like new Silver Sky Metallic 2013 Toyota Tundra DC (Double Cab 4-door) with the desirable 381hp/401tq 5.7L engine, with ONLY 10,000 miles. It has the bulletproof 6-speed transmission with sequential shift mode. The truck is 2wd, and comes with the SR5 package, fog lights, back-up camera, tow package, and many other goodies that make this truck a pleasure to drive and own. My Tundra has been meticulously maintained, never smoked in, no kids, no accidents, nothing that makes this truck look or feel anything other than NEW. The 80k mile extended warranty, as well as the factory 3-year/36k mile bumper to bumper and 5-year/60k mile power train warranty stays with the truck for the new owner to enjoy the peace of mind.

This truck is nearly cosmetically PERFECT there are 4 dime (or smaller) sized dings in the passenger side bed panel, the truck had these dings on them when I bought it from the dealer. These TINY dings are ONLY visible when looking at the truck in the sunlight from the right angles. These blemishes are so unnoticeable I couldn't get a picture of them to show up. That is why no picture is included of these dings.

Along with the creature comforts that come with the SR5 package, the truck also has chrome running board tube steps and a factory spray on bed liner, similar to Line-X or Rhino Liner.

I'm selling my truck for less than trade-in value. If you were to find this exact truck on a dealer's lot, you would most likely be paying $29k-$31k to drive this truck home. I am deploying in December and want to sell before then, I don't need the payments and won't be able to drive it anyway. This is your chance to save thousands of dollars on a top notch, almost brand new truck that is in EXCELLENT.

I have more pictures of the truck that I can email you if you are interested.

Toyota to shock with Supra concept for Detroit Auto Show?

Fri, 06 Dec 2013

We've written about approximately 187,000 rumors about a return of the Toyota Supra to the land of living cars. There are a couple of good reasons for this: first, Toyota won't stop dropping hints about a new halo sports car. Late this summer, Toyota sales guru Kazuo Ohara called a Supra successor "one of the options we have" - a comment followed by a hint that there would be "better news" on the subject in the future.
The second reason for all the Toyota tales is, of course, that we all have missed the Supra since its departure from the US market in 1998. So, when a member of the Autoblog team is party to a nudge-and-wink-filled conversation about a new Supra concept headed to January's Detroit Auto Show, we tend to listen up.
A 400+ horsepower hybrid sports car would match up pretty well with the upcoming NSX.

Automakers want to stop the EPA's fuel economy rules change, and why that's a shortsighted move

Tue, Dec 6 2016

With a Trump Administration looming, the EPA moved quickly after the election to propose finalizing future fuel economy rules last week. The auto industry doesn't like that (surprise), and has started making moves to stop the EPA. Ford CEO Mark Fields said he wanted to lobby Trump to lower the standards, and now the Auto Alliance, a manufacturer group, is saying it will join the fight against cleaner cars. The Alliance represents 12 automakers: BMW, Fiat Chrysler, Ford, GM, Jaguar Land Rover, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi, Porsche, Toyota, VW, and Volvo. Gloria Bergquist, a spokesperson for the Alliance, told Automotive News that the "EPA's sudden and controversial move to propose auto regulations eight months early - even after Congress warned agencies about taking such steps while political appointees were packing their bags - calls out for congressional action to pause this rulemaking until a thoughtful policy review can occur." The EPA was going to consider public comments through April 2017, but then said it would move the deadline to the end of December. That means that it can finalize the rules before President Obama leaves office. The director of public affairs for the Consumer Federation of America, Jack Gillis, said on a conference call with reporters last week when the EPA originally announced its decision that it is unlikely that President Trump will be able to roll back these changes. Gillis also said on the same call that any attempt by the automakers to prevent these changes would be history repeating itself. "These are the same companies that fought airbags, and now promoting the fact that every car has multiple airbags," he said. "These are the same companies that fought the crash-test program, and now are promoting the crash-test ratings published by the government. So, it's clear that they're misperceiving the needs of the American consumer." There are more reasons the Allliance's pushback is flawed. Carol Lee Rawn, the transportation program director for Ceres, said on that call that the automotive industry is a global one, and many automakers are moving to global platforms to help them meet strict fuel economy rules around the world.
