Bright Red 2012 Toyota Tundra Double Cab 4x4
This truck was bought new from Glockner Toyota near Portsmouth, Oh. I am the original owner and have had all of the maintenance done at Toyota West for the short life of the truck. I have all receipts of maintenance from Toyota West. The oil and filters have been changed with genuine Toyota products at the dealership from their master mechanic. The oil has been changed three times in 10,000 miles with full synthetic Toyota motor oil and new Toyota filters. The truck has custom Husky floor mats installed in the front and back to match the interior of the vehicle. The truck has also had seat covers on the seats since it was bought new. The interior is spotless as you can see in the pictures. The windows are professionally custom tinted to match each other. The truck has been used to tow a very small trailer but never used for hard towing. The towing package, which is part of the SR5 package, came installed from the factory. The truck has turn button four wheel drive and both settings work perfectly. The truck also has a back up camera that is very helpful. The truck has a 5.7 liter V8 engine with 381 stock HP. Toyota gives a free RAV4 to 50-millionth customer [w/video]
Thu, 29 Aug 2013Not surprisingly, the 50-millionth Toyota product sold in the US was a Camry, but Toyota had a big surprise in store for Michael Dee, the buyer of said milestone vehicle. Toyota group vice president Bill Fay showed up at Dee's house to not only personally thank him for the purchase, but also completely paid off that brand new Camry, presenting the owner with a clear title.
But that wasn't all. As you can tell from the image above, Fay had one more trick up his sleeve. The group VP brought along a brand new 2013 Toyota RAV4, which was also presented to Dee in appreciation. The best part is that Dee's genuine amazement was all caught on video, which is posted below.
How Charlotte lost to Plano without even knowing it was dealing with Toyota
Thu, 08 May 2014With Toyota set to relocate its North American headquarters to the Dallas, TX suburb of Plano following a top-secret, 100-city search, the cities that missed out can now begin asking themselves what happened during a process they apparently knew little about.
That's a particularly brutal task for Charlotte, which, according to North Carolina's Secretary of Commerce, Sharon Decker, finished second to Plano. While Toyota has been fairly open about what it was looking for in a new headquarters city - direct flights to Japan, proximity to its US production facilities, a lower cost of living, high-quality educational facilities and finding a neutral site suitable to the California, Kentucky and New York-based employees that would be relocated - it's been less open about how the finalist cities, which also included Atlanta and Denver, stacked up against each other.
The Charlotte Observer has a few ideas. Part of the problem is the distinct lack of direct flights between Charlotte and Asia. US Airways, which operates a hub at Charlotte/Douglas International Airport, doesn't fly to Asia.
