Up for sale is my, beyond flawless, one owner 2011 Toyota Tacoma TRD sport with 6 foot bed and every factory option available. One might question why I would sell such an amazing truck that I have put so much love and money into, well,  its not something I am happy about. I have recently started my own business and, even though the truck is paid off in full, the business and company vehicle is costing me way more then I expected. As such a sacrifice must be made and my loss is definitely your gain.

I can be reached any time at (203)212-9686 if you have any questions that this ad does not answer or if you would like to come see the truck in person, just ask for Chris.

This amazing truck has been stored in a garage since new. It has never been eaten in or smoked in.  It does not have a single scratch or imperfection on it. Wax has been applied regularly and all the maintenance is beyond up to date. After the break in period was complete I switched the oil to fully synthetic Mobil one and have been using it ever since along with an OEM oil filter directly from Toyota. It has also been feed nothing but premium fuel from either Mobile or Shell. Tire rotations were also done regularly.

The truck only has 15k original miles on it, each of which was driven with care and caution. As far as options this truck has it all! We can start with the factory options... TRD sport package with color matched mirrors, factory JBL amplified sound system with factory sub woofer and steering wheel controls, back up camera with discrete hidden monitor in rear view mirror, premium alloy wheels, tow package with transmission cooler and full power accessories (windows, locks, mirrors, etc) with keyless entery, cruise control, 4.0 V6 engine, automatic 5 speed transmission with over drive, 4 wheel drive, preferred package, traction control, stability control, ice cold AC, sliding rear window, power inverter in bed, tilt / telescopic steering wheel, air bags everywhere and much more.

Now for the things I have added/upgraded.... The headlight have been replaced with a high quality, 55w HID system. The radio has been replaced with a JVC 7" in dash audio/video unit that has been adapted to the factory steering wheel controls, factory amplified system and back up camera. The unit has Bluetooth, USB drive control, removable face with case, cd/dvd player and much more. The unit is also accompanied by a custom installed passanger seat head rest monitor for the back seat. Custom made, color matched, Cover King brand seat covers were installed front and rear and custome tailored around the head rest monitor. The seat covers are made specifically for use with the seat air bags for safety. The original seats under the covers are also in flawless condition. WeatherTech, precision made, rubber floor liners were installed front and rear. The original floor mats are also included and the original floor and floor mats are also flawless. The front windows were tinted to match the rear and WeatherTech in channel rain guards were installed front and rear to match the front bug guard. A Bak industries Bacflip HD hard flip up tonneau cover has been installed on the bed along with a rubber bed liner. A Console Vault custom made gun/valuables save has been installed in the center console for security along with a locking gas cap and locking tail gate handle.

In conclusion you wont find a cleaner, nicer, better maintained, better equipt truck on the market. This truck has been, and still is my pride and joy and I really hate to have to sell it. I have a clean CT title in hand along with all the spare keys ready to transfer to you. The truck is paid in full and there are no leins or any suprises. This is an amazing offer!! DONT LET IT PASS YOU BY!!

This vehicle has been described accurately and honestly and will be sold "AS IS". There will be no shipping or delivery of this vehicle of any kind, it MUST be picked up in person. If you have any questions or you would like to come see and test drive the truck please call my at (203)212-9686 My name is chris and I will be happy to hear from you. Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Toyota will roll out solid-state battery EVs globally in a couple of years

Thu, Jan 11 2024

GANDHINAGAR, India — Japan's Toyota Motor will in a couple of years globally launch vehicles with solid-state batteries that charge faster and last longer, an executive said on Thursday at an investment summit in India. Solid-state batteries promise to dramatically improve the driving range of electric vehicles (EVs), a key element of a strategic pivot Toyota unveiled in June to make up ground lost to Tesla and Chinese rivals, such as BYD, in the EV race. Last year, Toyota and oil refiner Idemitsu Kosan said they would tie up to develop and mass produce all-solid-state batteries, which they aim to commercialize in 2027 and 2028, followed by full-scale mass production. "We will be rolling out our electric vehicles with solid state batteries in a couple of years from now," said Vikram Gulati, the India head of Toyota Kirloskar Motor. It "will be a vehicle which will be charging in 10 minutes, giving a range of 1,200 kms (750 miles) and life expectancy will be very good". Gulati was speaking at the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit where one focus of the Indian government is attracting more investments to scale up EV manufacturing capacity in the world's third largest auto market. At the start of the summit on Wednesday, Japan's Suzuki Motor said its Indian subsidiary and Toyota partner Maruti Suzuki would export the group's first battery EV to Japan and Europe — marking the first time for Maruti to export to its parent company's home country. Electric models made up around 2% of India's car sales last year, but the government is targeting 30% by 2030 and India's road transport minister said at the summit he sees annual EV sales in India reaching 10 million vehicles by 2030. On Toyota's plans for solid-state batteries in India, Gulati said the carmaker had various sustainable technology options that would differ based on the country, market and customer preferences. "Right now, for India, flex fuel and ethanol can be a no-brainer right away," he added India's trade department has backed lowering taxes on hybrid vehicles to help the transition to cleaner energy sources, following demands by Japanese carmakers, Reuters has reported. Gulati said the Indian government should consider a carbon-based tax structure for cars, which would make it technologically agnostic and more equitable.  Green Lexus Suzuki Toyota Electric

America was the unexpected theme at the 2017 Detroit Auto Show thanks to Trump

Wed, Jan 11 2017

President-elect Donald Trump was not in attendance at this year's Detroit Auto Show, but it sure seemed like he was the target audience for many of the press conferences and announcements surrounding the event. Several manufacturers chose to play up existing and future commitments to the US in general and American jobs specifically in their presentations to the press, and we're pretty sure that has everything to do with Trump's recent targeting of automakers on Twitter. To us, it seemed automakers were going on the offensive to try and preempt any future tweet-shaming for investing in auto manufacturing anywhere but the US. The pro-America sentiment started the week prior to the auto show, with Ford announcing that it would build several future electrified vehicles at its Flat Rock Assembly Plant in Michigan and also cancel a $1.6 billion factory planned for Mexico. Ford announced the two items on the same day, but the reality is that they likely have no relation to each other; the Mexican plant is being skipped because the company doesn't need the extra capacity to build the Ford Focus right now. Trump was still happy to share the news on Twitter. Then, on Sunday, FCA announced it would invest $1 billion in manufacturing plants in Ohio and Michigan to produce the new Jeep Wagoneer, Grand Wagoneer, and Wrangler-based pickup. It's not as though those potential new jobs were on their way out of the US, necessarily, but FCA took the opportunity to mention that plant upgrades at the Warren Truck Plant would allow the company to build Ram heavy duty trucks, which are currently assembled in Mexico, there. CEO Sergio Marchionne confirmed that Trump and his proposed tariffs had nothing to do with the decision. We certainly believe that, but we also have to believe that the timing of the release, positive outcome for America, and zero gain for Mexico were all orchestrated. Again, Trump sent out a victory tweet as if this had been his doing. Ford then used its press conference at the show on Monday to reiterate the plans for Flat Rock and also confirm that the Ford Bronco and Ranger nameplates will be returning to the US market, and that both will be built at a plant in Michigan. Announcements of manufacturing locations are usually aimed at the UAW, which certainly has a stake in these things, but again this one was broadcast to the auto show crowd in general.

How many Toyotas are potentially affected by seat fabric problem?

Fri, 31 Jan 2014

When we reported yesterday on Toyota's stop-sale order of certain 2013 and 2014 models due to an issue with the fabrics on models with heated seats not conforming to flammability regulations, one of our many questions was how many vehicles were affected? More importantly, how many of those cars have already found homes?
Kelley Blue Book has the troubling statistics. Every 2013 and 2014 Avalon features heated seats. 6.2-percent of 2013 and 4.5-percent of 2014 Camry sedans, meanwhile, were sold with heated seats. That doesn't seem as bad as 100-percent of the larger Avalon, until you consider the Camry's huge volume - the 5.6-percent average still accounts for a lot of cars. Sienna minivans are heavily affected as well, with a total of 37-percent of 2013s and 46-percent of 2014s fitted with butt warmers. The stop-sale only affects 7-percent of 2014 Corolla models, but like the Camry, that number is rather misleading due to the sheer volume of cars Toyota moves. You can see the entire breakdown of percentages by clicking on the inset image.
According to Karl Brauer, a senior analyst for KBB, this problem comes at the worst possible time. "Given that much of the US is currently in the grips of a record cold snap, there's sure to be high demand for models with seat heaters," Brauer notes. The stop-sale order is a good first step, but it doesn't do anything to inform consumers who currently own the affected models and may, in these frosty temperatures, want to use their seat heaters. "Should owners of those vehicles stop using the seat heaters?" Brauer asked.
