This 2012 TACOMA 4wd truck only has 9,137 miles on it and it is loaded with options & features. This is truly a bargain in a luxury, barely used vehicle. I know this is a near new solid vehicle with nothing wrong with it and I tend to get a litttle irritated by all the advertisers trying to steer buyers away from vehicles sold by individuals.  In addition to the features listed above. The vehicle LOOKS and RUNS like NEW. It is smooth, quite and with its bucket seats is super comfortable.  The options on this vehicle alone cost around $8,000.00. I have the window sticker that came from the factory.  It has had no problems or wrecks and it gets up to 25 mile per gallon. It is surprising to get that kind of gas mileage for a vehicle loaded with this many extras. This vehicle has been garage parked most of its life. The records I have show this vehicle has been serviced by the Toyota dealership each six months where the dealer changed the oil and oil filter plus performed all the other items specified.  I took this very unusual vehicle from its orgional owner as a partial down payment on a parcel of land. I honestly have a very good and exceptionally low millage vehicle and the only reason I am offering it for sale is because I don’t need two vehicles that I can use for the same tasks. I already had another vehicle that does the job I need.  I don't know much about ebay, but I am putting both vehicles up for sale and will keep and drive the one that don't sell first. I also have this vehicle advertised locally, so I reserve the right to remove this vehicle from Ebay at any time. This vehicle has not been smoked in. Please also see "Condition description" above for minor defects.  I am not educated on the proper names of some of the standard features this vehicle came with from the manufacturer, but I will print below the optional features as listed on the window sticker that came with this vehicle as it came from the factory as follows:
                                                                          Optional Equipment:
50 states emissions, Display Audio with Navigation, Entune TM JBL.  Includes 6.1-in.  Touch Screen Linked to Back Up Camera,

Toyota GT86 engineer Tada recounts how sports car came to be

Wed, 13 Feb 2013

Because the Toyota GT86, Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ coupes are now a reality, it's almost hard to imagine the struggle that had to happen within the large, conservative corporate structures at both automakers for the joint project to even get off of the ground.
Speaking to those struggles on Toyota UK's Toyota Blog, GT86 Chief Engineer Tetsuya Tada enlightens us with a recap of the sports car's earliest origins. For Tada, the first stages of the project must have seemed almost as dreamlike as the final product is to drive.
Said the Chief, "I had been working in the minivan department engineering new product, but a month after the meeting I was summoned. 'Forget about minivans,' they said, 'you are now working on the sports-car project.'"

Krafcik says US Gov. shutdown is slowing Oct. auto sales

Tue, 15 Oct 2013

The government shutdown is eroding consumer confidence in the auto market, says John Krafcik, CEO of Hyundai's US sales unit, and could lower October sales by as much as 10 percent, Automotive News reports. "It's that anxiety that keeps customers, potential buyers, on the sidelines when making a big purchase like an automobile," Krafcik says, adding that industry sales could be off by five to 10 percent in October compared to September.
The fourth quarter, which started October 1, usually consists of increased auto sales as dealerships clear their lots to make room for the next year's models. Leading up to the fourth quarter this year, the auto industry was doing well in the fragile, recovering US economy, although September deliveries decreased by 4.2 percent, due in part to this year's Labor Day sales being recorded for August.
To help its customers, Hyundai announced it is deferring new-car loan and lease payments for furloughed federal workers until they're called back to work and also offering them a three-month payment deferral if they buy a new Hyundai in October. "We have already had requests from over a thousand people to have their payments deferred," Krafcik says.

Toyota, Ford decide to end hybrid collaboration before it starts

Tue, 23 Jul 2013

Not all so-called Memorandum of Understanding pacts end in actual collaborations. For instance, after a two-year "feasibility study," Toyota and Ford have just announced that they will not be developing hybrid systems for use in light trucks and SUVs as previously planned, and the two automakers will instead continue to develop their own hybrid technology independently.
The would-be collaboration was first announced in August of 2011, and would have seen a rear-wheel-drive hybrid platform that would "improve the efficiency of trucks and SUVs while still allowing them to be driven in the way customers expect," according to our initial post on the topic.
Keep in mind that this announcement isn't to say we shouldn't expect hybrid pickups and SUVs from the two automakers, but that they probably aren't coming very soon - Ford says it will have a system "before the end of this decade" and we haven't heard much from Toyota on the hybrid truck front since the 2008 A-BAT Concept (pictured above) - and that they will not share any components between them (and they never have, for what it's worth).
